A School-tailored High School Integrated Science Q&A Chatbot with Sentence-BERT: Development and One-Year Usage Analysis (인공지능 문장 분류 모델 Sentence-BERT 기반 학교 맞춤형 고등학교 통합과학 질문-답변 챗봇 -개발 및 1년간 사용 분석-)

  • This study developed a chatbot for first-year high school students, employing open-source software and the Korean Sentence-BERT model for AI-powered document classification. The chatbot utilizes the Sentence-BERT model to find the six most similar Q&A pairs to a student's query and presents them in a carousel format. The initial dataset, built from online resources, was refined and expanded based on student feedback and usability throughout over the operational period. By the end of the 2023 academic year, the chatbot integrated a total of 30,819 datasets and recorded 3,457 student interactions. Analysis revealed students' inclination to use the chatbot when prompted by teachers during classes and primarily during self-study sessions after school, with an average of 2.1 to 2.2 inquiries per session, mostly via mobile phones. Text mining identified student input terms encompassing not only science-related queries but also aspects of school life such as assessment scope. Topic modeling using BERTopic, based on Sentence-BERT, categorized 88% of student questions into 35 topics, shedding light on common student interests. A year-end survey confirmed the efficacy of the carousel format and the chatbot's role in addressing curiosities beyond integrated science learning objectives. This study underscores the importance of developing chatbots tailored for student use in public education and highlights their educational potential through long-term usage analysis.

  • Among artificial intelligence convergence technologies, Chatbot is an artificial intelligence-based interactive system and refers to a system that can provide interaction with humans. Chatbots are being re-examined as chatbots develop into NLP, NLU, and NLG. However, artificial intelligence chatbots can provide biased information based on learned data and cause serious damage such as privacy infringement and cybersecurity concerns, and it is essential to understand artificial intelligence technology and foster AI literacy. With the continued evolution and universalization of artificial intelligence, AI Literacy will also expand its scope and include new areas. This study is meaningful in raising awareness of artificial intelligence technology and proposing the use of human respect technology that is not buried in technology by cultivating human AI literacy capabilities.

  • A chatbot is an interactive assistant that utilizes many communication modes: voice, images, video, or text. It is an artificial intelligence-based application that responds to users' needs or solves problems during user-friendly conversation. However, the current version of the chatbot is focused on understanding and performing tasks requested by the user; its ability to generate personalized conversation suitable for relationship-building is limited. Recognizing the need to build a relationship and making suitable conversation is more important for social chatbots who require social skills similar to those of problem-solving chatbots like the intelligent personal assistant. The purpose of this study is to propose a text analysis method that evaluates relationships between chatbots and users based on content input by the user and adapted to the communication situation, enabling the chatbot to conduct suitable conversations. To evaluate the performance of this method, we examined learning and verified the results using actual SNS conversation records. The results of the analysis will aid in implementation of the social chatbot, as this method yields excellent results even when the private profile information of the user is excluded for privacy reasons.

  • As artificial intelligence develops, AI chatbot systems are actively taking place. For example, in public institutions, the use of chatbots is expanding to work assistance and professional knowledge services in civil complaints and administration, and private companies are using chatbots for interactive customer response services. In this study, we propose a scenario-based AI voice chatbot system to reduce museum operating costs and provide interactive guidance services to visitors. The implemented voice chatbot system consists of a watcher object that detects the user's voice by monitoring a specific directory in real-time, and an event handler object that outputs AI's response voice by performing inference by model sequentially when a voice file is created. And Including a function to prevent duplication using thread and a deque, GPU operations are not duplicated during inference in a single GPU environment.

  • 인공지능에 대한 연구가 최근 이슈가 되면서, 딥러닝 기술의 비약적인 발전 덕분에 대화형 에이전트가 인터페이스의 역할을 하고 있다. 이 중에서 최근 여러 대학에서 서비스로 지원하는 챗봇 시스템의 문제점에 대하여 개선된 시스템을 제안하고, 이를 구현하여 실험을 통해 연구하고자 한다. 기존 챗봇 시스템이 가진 문제점을 보완한 시스템은 서비스 사용자가 질의하는 의도에 더 알맞은 응답을 제공하여 서비스 사용자의 불편함을 최소화하고, 사용성과 편의성을 최대화 하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 메신저 플랫폼 상에서 위치정보 서비스를 제공하는 대화형 인공지능 챗봇(Chatbot)을 제안한다.별도의 애플리케이션에 들어가서 위치정보 서비스를 제공받던 기존 방식과는 달리 본 연구에서 제안하는 챗봇은 메시지 앱 내에서 대화형 방식으로 사용자에게 위치정보 서비스를 제공한다. 제안 챗봇은 Amazon Web Services 서버, Dialogflow API, ODSay API, 공공데이터 포탈 API 등을 통하여 구현되었다.

  • This paper aims to introduce the case of operating electronic document system and record management system as one system called i-Works at Korea Midland Power Company. i-Works combines intelligent services, such as artificial intelligence and a chatbot, as a supplementary tool for record management. As such, the preparation process and progress direction for the development of the record management system is introduced, an in-depth review of real-time transfer and utilization of the functional classification system to enhance the utilization of the current records is presented, and new technologies, such as artificial intelligence for an efficient management of the increasing number of electronic records, are established.

  • In this study, it was necessary to examine consumer acceptance attitudes from an in-depth and multifaceted perspective at a time when the need for chatbot services in various industrial fields is increasing and being activated in earnest. Accordingly, this study conducted a structural equation model to examine not only the structural relationship between ease, usefulness, and playfulness among the main functions of chatbot services and their acceptance attitudes, but also whether there is a mediating effect of service value in the relationship. As a result of the main study of this study, it was identified that the relationship between the ease, usefulness, and playfulness factors, which are the main functional sub-factors of the chatbot service, and their acceptance attitude and service value had a statistically static influence relationship. Based on these research results, the main research conclusions suggest that when companies in various fields provide chatbot services in the future, it is necessary to clearly determine the influencing factors that can affect the chatbot service acceptance attitude and provide these services. Through this, it is expected that the AI chatbot service will strengthen communication with consumers and establish itself as a customized and personalized counseling service.

  • 정서적 지원 대화를 위한 챗봇 개발 시, 사용자의 챗봇에 대한 사용성 및 대화 적절성을 높이기 위해서는 사용자 감정에 적합한 지원 콘텐츠를 제공하는 것이 중요하다. 이를 위해, 본 논문은 사용자 입력 텍스트의 감정 강도 예측 모델을 제안하고, 사용자 발화 맞춤형 정서적 지원 대화에 적용하고자 한다. 먼저 입력된 한국어 문장에서 키워드를 추출한 뒤, 이를 각성도 (arousal)과 긍정부 정도(valence) 공간에 투영하여 키워드가 내포하는 각성도-긍정부정도에 가장 근접한 감정을 예측하였다. 뿐만 아니라, 입력된 전체 문장에 대한 감정 강도를 추가로 예측하여, 핵심 감정 강도 - 문맥상 감정강도를 모두 추출하였다. 이러한 통섭적 감정 강도 지수들은 사용자 감정에 따른 최적 지원 전략 선택 및 최적 대화 콘텐츠 생성에 공헌할 것으로 기대한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 메이커 교육을 기초로 인공지능 챗봇 수업을 개발하였다. 세부적으로 R. M. Gagne(1985)에 9가지 이론을 기초로 정보교과 문제해결과 프로그래밍 단원의 지도안을 작성 후 평가를 제시하였다. 연구 내용 분석 결과 교육현장에서 인공지능 교육의 필요성이 강조되며 확고한 플랫폼 구축(인공지능 플랫폼)과 빅데이터 분석·확보하여 개인 맞춤형 서비스 제공이 필요하다. 본 논문을 토대로 인공지능 교육의 체계적인 연구 활성화에 시발점이 되었으면 한다.
