Integrating Task Planner with Plan Exective to Control Intelligent Robots (지능형 로봇 제어를 위한 작업계획 생성기와 실행기의 통합)

  • This paper presents a way to integrate a task planner with a plan executive for efficient control of intelligent robots. For this purpose, it first surveys several types of the existing task planners and plan executives. And then it introduces a new approach that combines a BDI-based executive with an on-demand task planner, and it explains a control architecture of intelligent robots based upon this integrating paradigm. Finally it analyzes the flexibility and robustness of both the proposed integrating paradigm and the control architecture through implementation of a demo system using AIBO robots.

  • Intelligent service robots leading the future market are robots which assist humans physically, mentally, and emotionally. Since intelligent service robots operate in a tightly coupled manner with humans, their safe operation should be an inevitable consideration. For this safety, real-time capabilities are necessary to execute certain services periodically. Currently, most robot components are being developed based on Windows for the sake of development convenience. However, since Windows does not support real-time, there is no option but to use expensive third-party software such as RTX and INTime. Also since most robot components are usually execute in user-level, we need to research how to support real-time in user-level. In this paper, we design and implement how to support real-time for components running in user-level on Windows using RTiK which actually supports real-time in kernel level on Windows.

  • In the ubiquitous environment, the real-time remote control and monitoring technology for intelligent robot creates service as a sharable and independent of time-location for various contents to get from a sensor or camera of the robot. In this paper, We propose the real-time monitor and control mechanism for intelligent robot called URC(Ubiquitous Robotic Companion). URC are intelligent robots designed as to interact with external digital device that can communicate through wire or wireless by integration the network and information technology into traditional robot. It has been carried out by implementing this technology into the target robot called ISSAC4 and proving its practical worth. We designed feasibly to control on remote site by web-browser. It guarantees a continuity of real-time image transferring by Client-Pull method.

  • 최근 음성인식률이 영어를 기준으로 97% 이상 높아짐에 따라 음성 인식을 사용한 여러서비스들이 등장하고 있다. 지능 로봇도 예외가 아니어서 많은 서비스 로봇, 지능형 로봇에 음성 인식 기술이 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 수많은 음성 인식 기술 중에서 로봇 시스템에 맞는 시스템을 선택하고, 이를 효율적으로 운용할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 또한 직접 지능형 서비스 로봇을 만들면서 음성 인식이 로봇에서 얼마나 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있는지를 확인하였으며 단순한 단어, 문장을 인식하는 것에 그치는 것이 아니라 향후 대화를 통해 사람과 로봇의 커뮤니케이션이 가능한 시스템을 제시한다.

  • Currently, the supply of Internet have been generalized. The technique and the equipment using internet are developing. We can use Internet well in an engineering research such timex flows. We can obtain the result and experimentation about a intelligent robot used of advantage that easily use internet. And other equipment can obtain the above experiment and result. Intelligent robot do not be affected by a limitation of wireless because it can load a wireless LAN equipped computer. The experiment is possible in the space which a wireless internet is just possible. In this paper, Internet-based Virtual Laboratory was consisted of a intelligent robot which load control computer and a general computer. Internet-based Virtual Laboratory have a multi-interface.

  • In this paper, we propose the navigation control method for intelligent robot using messy genetic algorithm. The fuzzy controller design for navigation of the intelligent robot was dependant on expert's knowledge. But, the parameters of the fuzzy logic controller obtained from expert's control action may not be outimal. In this paper, to solve the above problem, we propose the identification method to automatically tune the number of fuzzy rule and parameters of memberships of fuzzy controller using mGA. Finally, to show and evaluate the generality and feasibility of the proposed method, we provides some simulations for wall following navigation of intelligent robot.

Development of an Intelligent Hexapod Walking Robot (지능형 6족 보행 로봇의 개발)

  • Hexapod walking robots are superior to biped or quadruped ones in terms of walking stability. Therefore hexapod robots have the advantage in performing intelligent tasks based on walking stability. In this paper, we propose a hexapod robot that has one fore leg, one hind leg, two left legs, and two right legs and can perform various intelligent tasks. We build the robot by using 26 motors and implement a controller which consists of a host PC, a DSP main controller, an AVR auxiliary controller, and smart phone/pad. We show by several experiments that the implemented robot can perform various intelligent tasks such as uneven surface walking, tracking and kicking a ball, remote control and 3D monitoring by using data obtained from stereo camera, infrared sensors, ultra sound sensors, and contact sensors.

  • 지능형 로봇이 성장동력 산업으로 선정되면서 국내에서도 로봇 산업이 급속도로 성장하고 있다. 지능형 로봇과 관련해서는 특히 자율 이동 로봇, 그리고 그것의 경로계획과 주행에 관한 연구가 널리 진행되고 있다. 자율 이동 로봇은 주어진 환경에서 효율적인 주행을 하기 위하여 환경 지도를 구성하고, 이를 기반으로 목표 지점에 대한 효율적인 광역 주행 경로를 계산하게 되고, 계산된 광역 경로를 주행하여 목표 지점에 이르게 된다. 본 논문에서는 퍼지 환경 지도를 제안하고, 퍼지 환경 지도로부터 최단시간 광역 경로 계산 알고리즘을 소개하며, 주행 제어를 위한 퍼지 논리 제어기를 제안한다.
