The objective of this study is to provide guidelines for expert witness in product liability lawsuits. The expert testimony is one of the powerful methods to mitigate the burden of the proof in product liability litigations. However, it has been seldomly accepted as a reliable evidence by trial judges because the expert's testimony has sometimes turned out to be illogical and unreliable. In order for the expert testimony to be admittable in the court, the expert should have a thorough understanding of his/her role as an expert witness and follow scientific methodology whose soundness has been generally accepted by both industries and academy.

미생물의 대사산물은 극히 다양함으로 그중에는 암세포에 선택적으로 작용하여 증식을 억제하는 것이 있으리라는 예상하에서 종양을 이식한 동물을 사용하여 항암성 물질을 스크리-닝하기 시작한 것은 1951년경 부터였다. 그리하여 지난 20여년간에 200종 이상의 항종양성 물질이 보고되었고 그 화학구조는 가지 각색이다. 그간의 연구의 추세를 들이켜 본다면 초기에는 항종양작용에 중점을 두었기 때문에 독성이 강한 물질이 다소 보고되었으며 중기에는 조직배양을 이용했기 때문에 세포독 물질이 주축을 이루고 있다. 근래에는 독성이 낮은 물질, 특히, 고분자의 물질이 추구되고 있는 경향이다. 이미 보고된 200여종의 항종양성 항생물질중 실지로 쓰이고 있는 것은 10여종에 불과하다는 사실은 전신요법제로써의 항암제의 독어이 얼마나 중요한 가를 잘 증언해 주고 있다. 항종양성 항생물질은 화학구조, 생성하는 미생물, 작용기전 등에 분류할 수 있다. 그러나 화학구조가 다양하다는 점에서 또 생성하는 미생물은 대개 방성균류이라는 점에서 그리고 작용기전은 대개 핵산에 작용한다는 점에서 볼때 이러한 분류기준을 채택한다는 것이 특별히 유리한 점이 없는 것 같으므로 여기서는 편의상 발견된 연대순으로 나열하여 기재하기로 한다.

This investigation compared the eyewitness accounts of 5-year-old children by verbal-only inter views and interviews using anatomically neutral dolls. The verbal interviews consisted of free recall, specific question, and leading questions. While the overall accuracy of the interviews increased with the introduction of dolls as memory aids, the efficacy of the dolls was not uniform across types of interviews. In free recall, the dolls were not effective in eliciting accurate accounts. The use of dolls also did not compromise the memory of children in free recall which recalled greater number of correct details with the memory aids than without, but it should be careful in free recall could be reported exactly correct in spite of little bit amounts. Responses to leading questions showed that the children were affected by suggestive misleading question and were susceptible to incorporation of that information into their memory.

상전벽해(桑田碧海), 뽕나무 밭이 변해 푸른 바다가 된 것은 아니지만, 논 밭만 즐비하던 시골 땅에 하루 아침에 아파트들이 즐비하게 들어서고 공단이 들어선 것은 비단 어제 오늘의 일이 아니다. 교통의 발달로 경기도 근교는 서울과 출퇴근 생활권이 된지 오래다. 사정이 이렇다 보니 도시화의 물결은 점점 농촌 깊숙이 파고들고 있는 형편이다. 이러한 도시화로 피해를 입고 있는 많은 산업들이 있겠지만 그 중에서도 축산업은 최대 피해자라고 볼 수 있다. 축산업을 평생의 업으로 삼고 살아온 축산인들에게는 보상금 보다 산업을 지속적으로 영위할 수 있는 것이 가장 우선되기 때문이다. 모든 산업이 마찬가지겠지만 도시화가 가장 가속화되고 있는 경기도 일대에 가장 많은 분포를 보이고 있는 낙농업의 경우 상황은 더욱 심각하다. 공단과 신도시 개발 등으로 터전을 잃고 있는 낙농가들이 한해해만 몇십 농가가 된다는 것이 업계의 증언이다. 도시화로 인하 목장 이전의 문제점은 무엇이고 성공적인 이전을 한 농가의 성공요건을 낱낱이 분석한다.

Dong-Ri Kim's Shaphan's Cross, Do-Gi Paek's A Testimony about Judas Iscariot and Mun-Yeol Yi's Re Son of Man have a common point. In the three novels, Jesus Christ plays an important role. Shaphan's Cross researches the theme of Jesus's resurrection directly and minutely. Dong-Ri Kim shows the attitude of a sincere Philosopher in this work. A Testimony about Judas Iscariot avoids such a theme in treating Jesus Christ, but Do-Gi Paek is concerned only about the moral problem, showing the attitude of a sincere philosopher. Re Son of Man researches the theme of Jesus's resurrection directly and minutely like Shaphan's Cross, but Mun-Yeol Yi does not show the attitude of a sincere philosopher. He, instead, shows the property of a dilettante who enjoys an intellectual game. In short, these three novels play important roles in enlarging the territory of Korean literature.

본 논설은 1960년대 초 이래로 강력히 시행되었던 만국의 출산억제 정책이 여성들의 삶과 새로운 가족규범 및 사회 전반에 미친 영향력에 관하여 Global Standard의 출산복지라는 잣대에 준거하여 검토해 보고자 한다. 이러한 목적을 위하여 연구 방법론으로는 문헌조사 및 인터뷰를 사용한다. 문헌조사를 통하여 한국 정부 및 국내외관련기관들에 남겨진 기록들을 검토하고 인터뷰를 통하여 산아제한운동에 직접 관여하였거나 깊은 관심을 갖었던 주요 인사들의 증언을 수집한다. 구체적으로 1961년부터 1992년까지 시행된 한국의 출산율 감소정책에 대한 사례연구를 Global Standard의 출산복지에 비추어 검토한다. 한국의 인구통제정책의 근원을 밝혀내고 만국의 출산율 감소정책이 공식화되고 시행되는데 관련되었던 국내외의 세력들을 탐색해 본다. 특히 주요 정치인들과 정책 결정자들이 여성의 자율적 출산권(出産權)을 통제하게 된 동기, 철학 그리고 배후의 이익 등을 규명하기 위하여 본 연구는 정책의 여러 측면들을 탐구한다.

본 연구는 해방이후의 북한 도서관의 발전과정에 김일성이 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는가를 구명하기 위하여 먼저, 김일성 저작집의 도서관관련 내용을 조사·분석하고, 다음 이와 관련된 문헌과 자료를 통해 사실의 진위를 검증하였으며, 이를 토대로 최종적으로 북한 교육계에 종사했던 탈북 인사의 증언과 이 글에 대한 평가를 반영하였다.

아카이브는 노동기록의 부재에 대해 침묵하는 것이 아니라, 노동자 삶의 흔적을 기록화해야 한다. 곧 비정규 노동자의 행위와 고통을 기록으로 재현하는 일, 이를 바탕으로 자본주의의 억압적 구조를 밝히는 작업은 당대 아카이브의 책무이다. 노동수기 등 비정규 노동자의 삶을 표상하는 기록이 현재사를 상징하는 기록의 핵심이 되어야 하며, 아카이브는 이를 기록화해야 한다. 아카이브는 중립성의 환상을 폐기해야 한다.

Accuracy of dredging processes depends on the types of equipment used, the sediments encountered, whether the work to be performed is new or maintenance dredging, pre- and post-hydrographic surveying and so forth. Among those, position surveying accuracy which is directly determined by the control of the dredge's position and depth surveying accuracy being surveyed at the dredging point during dredging work are important factors. The purpose of this study is to develop 'Dredge Management System'for Grab dredge which is composed of 4 sub-system using LADGPS for dredge position determining system and dredging point determining system, tide gauge system and optical sensor for depth determining system and GIS and ENC for total management system. This system is installed on the grab dredge 'EUNJIN G-18'and applied to anchorage dredging work. at Pohang Harbor. The results revealed that this system is easy to operate, achieves good accuracy with only 45cm unevenness, reduces working period by 22 percent and saves cost 16.6 percent.

나의 스승 홍순인. 필자는 홍순인 선생을 1973년도에 만났다. 필자는 학교의 학생으로 그분은 설계를 지도해 주는 선생으로 이렇게 시작된 우리의 만남은 그분이 돌아가시기 전까지 계속 되었다. 하지만 홍순인 선생의 건축에 대한 열정과 업적을 글로 표현한다는 것은 필자로서는 큰 영광이지만 한편으로는 그분에 대한 올바른 평가가 될 수 있을까 하는 염려가 되기도 한다. 그러나 아직도 많은 사람이 그분의 짧은 생애를 무척이나 애석해 하기에 용기내어 그분의 삶을 기록하고자 한다. 특히 여기에 기록되는 많은 내용은 그를 아는 많은 분과 특히 그분의 미망인인 김영숙 여사와 홍순인 선생과 고향에서부터 서울까지 자취생활을 같이 해 왔던 누구보다도 그분의 성장과정을 상세히 알고 있는 그분의 동생 홍순복씨의 증언과 도움을 기초로 하여 작성할 수 있었음을 밝혀 두는 바이다. 필자는 그분을 통해 건축을 알게 되었으며, 건축을 좋아하게 되었다. 그래서 그분을 잊지 못하고 있으며 설계하는 일이 힘들때나 괴로울 때면 그분을 생각하면서 마음을 새롭게 하기도 한다.
