Development of Competency Model for Police' Digital Forensic Examiner (경찰 디지털증거분석관 역량모델 개발)

  • As digital evidence becomes more important in criminal investigations, disputes are increasing in court. As media diversifies and the scope of analysis expands, the level of expertise in digital forensics is also increasing. However, no competency model has been developed to define the capabilities of digital evidence examiners or to judge their expertise. There have been some studies that have derived the capabilities necessary for digital evidence examiner, but they are still insufficient. Therefore, in this study, 25 competency evaluation factors in a total of 9 competency groups were defined using methodologies such as expert FGI and Delphi survey. Specifically, it was defined as Digital Forensics Theory, Digital Evidence Collection&Management, Disk Forensics, Mobile Forensics, Video Forensics, infringement forensics, DB Forensics, Embedded(IoT) Forensics, and Cloud Forensics. The digital evidence examiner competency model is expected to be used in various fields such as recruitment, education and training, and performance evaluation in the future.

The Pessimistic Induction and Space-Time Theories (비관적 귀납과 시공간 이론)

  • This essay attempts to evaluate the pessimistic induction within the case of the historical development of space-time theories, which are claimed to undergo a radical ontological change providing evidence for the pessimistic induction. In my view, this claim misleads us to see the discontinuity of the structure of classical and relativistic space-time by means of a doubtful interpretation of space-time theories, which holds that space-time causally explains the phenomena of motions.

  • 학문적, 이론적으로 뒷받침 되어야 하는 전문적인 기술(technology)이라기 보다는 제품의 생산 과정에서 일시적으로 필요한 단순한 기능(skill)으로써만 용접을 간주해 온 사고방식이 우리나라 용접기술의 발전을 지연시킨 중요한 요인중의 하나라고 생각된다. 그러나 이론적인 뒷받침이 요구되는 새로운 용접기술의 개발에 대한 필요성의 급증을 계기로 늦게나마 대한용접학회가 설 립되었다는 것은 우리 나라의 밝은 장래를 예시하는 좋은 증거라 할 수 있겠다. 이러한 시점에서 무엇보다도 바람직한 것은 학회활동의 활성화라 할 수 있다. 활성화를 위해서 국내 기존 학회의 활동을 참고하는 것도 한 방법이겠지만 같은 용접분야에서 오랜 활동과 실적을 갖고 있는 선 진국의 학회 활동을 참고하는 것이 보다 효과적일 것으로 생각된다. 이러한 의미에서 가장 가 까운 이웃 일본의 용접기술 및 용접협회의 활동을 간단히 소개하고자 한다.

A Review of the Debates between Fixed-Resolution Slot and Flexible-Resource Models (시각작업기억 표상에 대한 고정해상도 슬롯 모형과 탄력적 자원 모형 사이의 쟁점에 대한 개관)

  • The presnt study reviewed two contrasting models, fixed-resolution slot versus flexible-resource hypotheses, for the representational characteristics of visual working memory (VWM), and emphasized the necessary efforts for resolving their conflicting arguments. To accomplish this goal, the review explored the background hypotheses of the object-based versus parallel independent storage models, and introduced theoretical bases for their contrasting claims. The review then evaluated validity of empirical evidence provided in the studies to support each model, and attempted an understanding of their neurophysiological background. The study further emphasized the necessity of theoretical and methodological reconsiderations to resolve their conflict as well as the necessity of obtaining converging pieces of evidence to accomplish the resolution.

  • When setting the RAM objectives, various data such as expert opinions and the historical data of similar types of equipment are used. However, many times subjectivity is involved in the process of merging and utilizing data, and there are many cases where some information is omitted or an ambiguous method is used. Most of the previous work focused only on the process or method of calculating values using well-organized data rather than manipulating raw data. But if the data manipulation process is not objective, it is difficult to guarantee the accuracy of the results even if the calculation logic and method are accurate. This study proposes a systematic data merging process used to set the RAM objectives using the evidence theory. The proposed method can be used to avoid information loss and merge the data objectively. Moreover, contribute to improving the accuracy of setting the RAM objectives in the future.

Development of Arousal Level Estimation Algorithm by Membership Function and Dempster-Shafer′s Rule of Combination in Evidence (소속함수와 Dempster-Shafer 증거합 법칙을 이용한 긴장도 평가 알고리즘 개발)

  • This research was the first step to develop Expert System for Evaluation of Human Sensibility, where human sensibility can be inferred from objective physiological signals. The study aim was to develop an algorithm in which human arousal level can be judged using measured physiological signals. Fuzzy theory was applied for mathematical handling of the ambiguity related to evaluation of human sensibility, and the degree of belonging to a certain sensibility dimension was quantified by membership function through which the sensibility evaluation was able to be done. Determining membership function was achieved using results from a physiological signal database of arousal/relaxation that was generated from imagination. To induce one final result (arousal level) based on measuring the results of more than 2 physiological signals and the membership function of each physiological signal, Dempster-Shafer's Rule of Combination in Evidence was applied, through which the final arousal level was inferred.

기업인수.합병공시 전후의 매수.매도가격차이 움직임에 대한 실증적 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 기업인수 합병공시 전후에 관찰되는 매수 매도가격차이중에서 정보비용부분의 움직임을 살펴봄으로써 정보비대칭하의 시장미시구조이론을 검증하였다. 공시일을 예측할 수 없는 기업인수 합병공시를 대상으로 함으로써 효율적시장가설의 검증을 병행하는데 본 연구의 의의가 있다. 검증의 결과는 시장미시구조이론과 효율적시장가설을 지지한다. 공시전 전체기간에 대한 분석에서는 스프레드의 증가가 없었으나 부분기간에 대한 분석에서 스페셜리스트가 스프레드를 증가시키는 것을 확인하였다. 스프레드의 증가는 공시 3일전과 4일전에 나타났으며 이는 정보거래자에 대한 손실을 피하기 위하여 스프레드를 증가시킨다는 이론의 예측과 일치하는 증거이다. 그러나 정보누출과 이의 감지에는 시간차이가 존재하였다. 우호적공개매수와 적대적공개매수의 비교분석에서도 기업인수의 실현여부와 관련된 정보비대칭 현상에 대해 이론의 예측과 일치하는 결과를 얻었다.

The Position of [lateral] in Feature Geometry

  • 최근 음운론에서 lateral 자질이 자질수형도에서 어디에 위치하는가에 대해 두 가지 접근이 있어 왔다. Levin(1988)은 lateral이 coronal에만 나타나는 제약에 기초해서, lateral 자질이 coronal 마디의 의존자질이라고 주장한다. 이에 반해 Rice & Avery(1991), 그리고 Shaw(1991)는 lateral 자질이 자질수형도의 위쪽에 위치한다고 주장한다. 이 두 이론을 비교하기 위해 본 논문에서는 다음과 같은 내용의 음운론적인 요소들과 음성학적인 요소들을 고려한다. 첫째, 음성학에서 lateral의 기능은 lateral이 일반적으로 수형도 위쪽에 위치하는 것으로 간주되는 조음방법 자질이라는 것을 시사한다. 둘째, Papuan 언어군에서 보고된 Velar lateral의 존재는 lateral이 coronal에만 나타난다는 제약을 무효화하면서 Levin이론의 전제를 의심스럽게 한다. 셋째, 몇 가지 다른 유형의 동화 현상에 대한 논의는 동화현상이 lateral이 수형도의 위쪽에 위치하는 이론에서 더 잘 설명된다는 것을 보여 준다. 마지막으로 Chumash와 Tahltan의 coronal harmony에서 나타나는 lateral의 transparency와 Cambodian과 Javanese에서 나타나는 OCP효과 따위도 lateral이 조음위치 마디의 의존 자질인 이론에서는 설명될 수 없는 underspecified lateral의 증거를 제시한다. 이와 같은 논의에 기초해서 본 논문의 결과는 lateral이 수형도 위쪽에 위치한다는 주장이 옳음을 보여준다.

The Irrational Behavior of Korea Stock Market and The Role of Public Information: Evidence from Mass Media in Korea (주식시장의 비이성적 행동과 공개정보의 역할 - 한국 매스미디어로 부터 증거 -)

  • This study analyzes how investors' irrational behavior (or pessimistic sentiment) affects stock market returns and investors' market activity using mass media that delivered public information from January 1998 to December 2012 as a sample. According to pessimistic investor theory, investor pessimism leads to downward pressure on the price of equity capital, thereby making market sentiment pessimistic and lowering market yields. It also shows that investor pessimism increases transaction costs in the market, which in turn dampens investors' trading activities. In other words, pessimistic reporting on public information disseminated by mass media induces investors to act irrationally, eventually having a direct impact on the stock market. This study conducted an empirical analysis of the existing theoretical and empirical studies using domestic mass media as a sample. First, the study revealed a negative correlation between pessimistic reporting and returns as well as excess returns, while it did not show statistically significant results. Second, evidence has been suggested that pessimistic sentiment in the stock market has a negative impact on future pessimistic reporting by mass media. Third, the analysis of the impact of pessimistic reporting on investors' market activity using proxy variables for various market activities found that pessimism dampens market activity, while it did not show statistically significant results. It is assumed that low statistical significance is due to the fact that sample collection was carried out on a monthly basis. While the results of the study have low statistical significance, statistical signs support predictions of the theory.

Change of Pre-Service Elementary Teachers' Professional Visions through Video-Based Reflection on Science Classroom (과학 수업 비디오에 기초한 반성 활동을 통한 초등 예비교사의 전문적 시각의 변화)

  • This study investigated the change of pre-service elementary teachers' professional visions through video-based reflection on science teaching with focus on their attention and pedagogical reasoning about student learning. Specifically, we compared two reflection cycles before and after pre-service elementary teachers went through the collaborative video-based reflection process in a professional learning community. The primary data were collected from eight pre-service elementary teachers and included their science lesson plans, videotaped lessons, video-reflection papers, and transcripts from the interviews. Pre-service elementary teachers' attention was categorized in five aspects: classroom management & control, teacher's instruction, students' thinking & learning, subject knowledge, and assessment. The level of their pedagogical reasoning about student thinking and learning was determined with six levels based on the number of evidence, evidence area, and evidence type. The findings revealed that 1) individual reflection is not enough - collaborative reflection is essential to change their attention toward students learning and thinking 2) pedagogical reasoning levels increase gradually throughout the individual and collaborative video-based reflection processes. The participants not only attributed student learning solely to the characteristics of students but also connected it with their own instruction or science content knowledge and used different types of evidences as they went through two reflection cycles. Implications for using video in the teacher education program were discussed.
