Flexural Behavior of Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic Pipes (유리섬유 강화 플라스틱관의 휨거동에 관한 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 유리섬유의 적층수, 유리섬유의 배향각도에 대한 유리섬유 강화 플라스틱(Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics ; GFRP)의 인장거동 변화를 고찰하고, 이들의 상관관계를 규명하기 위하여 일련의 GFRP 시험체에 대하여 인장실험을 수행하였다. 시험체는 폭12.5mm, 길이 60mm크기로 일정하게 제작하였으며, 시험체에 대하여 인장실험을 수행하였다. 시험체 제작시 유리섬유로 적층수는 14, 22, 30층, 유리섬유의 배향각도는 0$^{\circ}$, 30$^{\circ}$, 45$^{\circ}$로 하였다. 인장실험시 각 시험체의 파괴양상, 극한하중 및 하중변화에 대한 인장변형율을 조사하였고, 이들 결과를 토대로 유리섬유의 적층수와 배향각도에 따른 GFRP의 극한하중, 응력-변형율 선도 및 탄성계수 등을 비교 분석하였다. 한편 본 논문에서는 유리섬유의 적층수, 직경 변화에 따른 GFRP관의 파괴거동을 고찰하기 위하여 4점 재하법에 의한 GFRP관의 휨파괴실험을 수행하였다. 실험에 사용된 시험체는 길이 1200mm로 하였으며, 유리섬유의 적층수를 30, 35, 40층, 관의 직경을 50, 100, 150mm로 하였다. 파괴실험시 각 시험체의 하중변화에 대한 휨 변형율, 중앙점 처짐량 및 항복하중을 측정하였고, 이들 결과를 토대로 유리섬유으 적층수와 관의 직경에 따라 GFRP관의 항복하중 및 파괴에너지를 비교 분석 하였으며, 항복시 파괴에너지를 추정할 수 있는 제안식을 유도하였다.

An analytical study on behavior of the girder panel in simplified composite deck under construction loadings (가설하중 하에서 초간편 강합성 바닥판 거더패널의 거동에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • In this study, based on a I-roll embedded steel composite deck, it is suggested a new type of simplified composite deck and analyzed under construction loading. Using ABAQUS, it's estimated effects of welding amount of steel plate and I-section, existence of a hole of I-section's flange, and a location of hole. For a reasonable verification of modeling, compare Euler-Beam theory with F.E.M models. In result, it is verified that change of welding amount increase more maximum bending tension stresses at the central part's section of span when elements are partial-welded. Also, verify that deflection is slightly increased when a hole existed compared with no hole.

Flexural Failure Behaviour of RC Beams Strengthened by CFS according to Loading Condition (CFS로 보강된 RC보의 가력상태에 따른 휨파괴 거동)

  • The purpose of this research are to investigate experimentally flexural strengthening effects and flexural behaviour of RC beams strengthened by carbon fiber sheet(CFS) with/without superimposed pre-load. Test parameters of experiment are tension reinforcement ratio(0.85, 1.32, 1.91%) and pre-load(80% of yield capacity of unstrengthened beams). The structural behaviour of strengthened beams are compared with in terms of yield load and ultimate load, load-deflection relation, ductility, strengthened efficiency. From the test results, it were shown that ultimate capacity and flexural failure behaviour of RC beams strengthened by CFS changed by initial stresses between original beams and bonded CFS.

  • 기존의 무량판 구조와 동일한 이방향 슬래브구조인 TVS(two-way void slab)공법은 구조적 하중지지 성능이 불필요한 슬래브 단면상의 중앙부 콘크리트를 제거하여 슬래브의 자중을 줄이고 무량판 구조의 단점을 보완하여 장점을 극대화시킨 구조형식이다. 그러나 이러한 장점을 보유한 공법을 현장적용하기 위해서는 내화성능평가를 통해 화재안전성을 확보하여야 하므로, 이에 대한 화재 실증실험을 수행하여 현장적용을 위한 최소 요구내화 시간에 따른 내화성능 확보방안의 도출이 제시되어야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 TVS공법의 실제 스팬길이로 슬래브 피복두께에 따른 화재거동 영향성 분석을 위하여 화재실험을 수행하였다. 하중조건은 고정하중과 적재하중을 고려하여 실험체에 등분포 조건으로 사전재하하였으며, 표준화재조건으로 재하가열 실험을 수행하였다. 슬래브의 화재가열 노출면으로부터의 깊이별 온도변화와 처짐변형 특성을 측정하였으며, KS F 2257-1 평가기준에 의거하여 슬래브의 내화성능을 평가하였다. 실험결과 피복두께 50 mm를 확보할 경우, EPS중공체로 제작한 실험체의 경우 약 2시간정도의 내화성능을 확보할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Centralized Controller High-altitude Work Car Elevations Lift Structure Safety Assessment (중앙집중식 컨트롤러 고소작업차의 고소리프트의 구조안정성 평가)

  • This study was conducted as a post - study on the development of a centralized controller and a hydraulic lift system including structural analysis and remote control for the development of a vertically elevated car. The safety review was carried out through the structural modification of the elevator lift which was developed during the previous research. 3D modeling was performed with Solidworks, and a model of finite element was created through Hypermesh S / W. In addition, the loading environment of the work vehicle for the evaluation is a condition in which the loading amount is 250 kg per position (total, upper, upper, lower, and lower) on the work table, ), The structural analysis was carried out under the condition that the load was 600 kg, and safety was examined in various aspects. As a result, when the allowable load of 250 kg and the excess load of 600 kg are excluded (except Case-11), the stress level is below the yield strength. In the case of Case-11, there is a region exceeding the yield strength at the center support portion of the safety bar at the upper end even after excluding the component which generates the maximum stress, but it does not affect the safety aspect of the whole structure Respectively. Looking at the deflection results, it can be seen that in all cases the maximum deflection occurs in the same table, and the tendency of sagging in both 250 kg and 600 kg is the same.

An Experimental Study About a Net-Type External Prestress Strengthening Method for Slab Bridges (네트형 외부 긴장재에 의한 슬래브교 보강 실험)

  • Large portion of the domestic bridges are slab bridges reflecting the geographical characteristic of the country, where exists lots of inclines and small winding brooks. Many of the slab bridges are damaged and superannuated as they become obsolete. Deterioration is accelerated when the traffic density becomes large and heavy vehicles pass frequently. A strengthening method for deteriorated slab bridges was studied in this work. The examined net-type strengthening method uses both longitudinal and transverse prestressing for strengthening. In this way, the deflection at the center of the slab can be better controlled, and consequently, the slab is more efficiently strengthened. Three slab specimens were fabricated for the experimental test and subjected to three different loading conditions, and the load bearing capacities and deflections of slabs were examined. Flexural stiffness of slabs increased by 30.7~107.3%, and deflection of slabs decreased by 27.6~52.2% after net-type strengthening. The net-type prestressing is efficient to the strengthening for the center of a slab, and its efficiency is also valid under eccentric loadings. Since extra prestress forces can be added in the future, if necessary, the net-type strengthening system is advantagous for the maintenance and repair of slab bridges.

Structural Stiffness Analysis on Doors having Pyramidal Truss Cores in an Urban Transit Vehicle (피라미드 트러스 심재를 채용한 도시철도차량 출입문의 구조강성평가)

  • A preliminary study was carried out to investigate the feasibility of replacing honeycomb cores with pyramidal truss cores in the doors of urban transit railway vehicles. The doors in current operation are sandwich structures comprising a honeycomb core and reinforcements between two facesheets. The structural requirements of doors for urban transit vehicle are specified in the KRS and KRT and standards, according to which the deflections from three-point bending tests must be limited. To this end, two types of pyramidal truss cores with equivalent mass to a honeycomb core were designed. The structural stiffness of doors with pyramidal truss cores and honeycomb cores were numerically calculated via finite element analysis. The three-point bending models were constructed and simulated, and then the calculated deflections were compared with the requirements specified in the regulations. The results show that doors with pyramidal truss cores satisfied the stiffness requirements, although their deflections were 2.5% larger than that of the honeycomb cores. Therefore, the pyramidal truss cores could replace the aluminum honeycomb cores, and their multi-functional capability could be exploited.

A Study on the Flexural Behavior of Plate Girder Bridge Decks Using a Macro-Element (매크로 요소를 사용한 판형교 바닥판의 휨거동 해석)

  • Current specification prescribes that upper and lower reinforcement mat is required in the same amount to resist negative and positive moment in bridge decks. But the negative moment is much smaller than positive moment because the actual behavior of decks consists of local deflection of slab and global deflection of girder. From this study, the analysis method based on harmonic analysis and slope-deflection method was developed and verified by finite element method. The negative moment, obtained from this method, were smaller than those computed based on the KHBDC specifications as much as 40∼50% in the middle of bridge. The amount of reduction of the design negative moment was shown herein to be dependent on variable parameters as shape factor(S/L) of slab, relative stiffness ratio of girder and deck slab, and so on. This investigations indicate that the upper reinforcement mat to resist negative moment can be removed. But further experimental study is required to consider durability and serviceability. From this new design concept, the construction expense can be reduced and the problem of decreasing durability resulting from corrosion of upper reinforcement steel settled.

Bond Strength Evaluation of RC Beams on the Rib Shape of Reinforcing Bars (철근 마디 형상에 따른 RC 휨부재의 부착강도 평가)

  • The needs for high strength structural materials have recently increased, because construction and cost efficiencies are demanded by the costumers. But, the use of high strength reinforcing bars requires longer development and splice lengths compared to normal strength bars. This restriction may cause reduction in construction efficiency and require more complicated details. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the bond strength on the rib shape of reinforcing bars to decrease development and splice lengths of high strength reinforcements. Total of 5 simple beam specimens were tested, and the main test variable was a rib shape of reinforcing bars. Test data was analyzed in the viewpoint of bond strength, load-deflection relationship, and crack pattern. Test results indicated that the bond strength of high relative rib area reinforcing bars increased up to 11% compared to normal strength reinforcements. And the improved rib shape reinforcements, which were formed with high and low height rib, increased the bond strength up to 23% even though the relative rib area was same as the high relative rib area reinforcements. Serviceability performances such as deflection number of cracking, and maximum crack width were similar in all specimens, so it is safe to conclude that the improved rib shape reinforcements can be applied to the structural members.

An Experimental Study on the Structural Performance of Horizontally Curved Precast PSC Girder (프리캐스트 곡선 PSC 거더의 구조 성능에 관한 실험연구)

  • The main purpose of this study is to investigate the static behavior of a horizontally curved prestressed concrete (PSC) girder. A 30m long full-scale curved PSC girder with 80.0m radius is fabricated by a portable curved form system. Deflections and concrete strains at the middle of span were measured. The obtained experimental results have been compared to those from F.E.A. analysis. When a initial crack developed, the applied load was 1.3 times the service design load and the vertical deflection at the middle of span satisfied the requirement for a live load state according to the Korea Bridge Design Specifications (2010). Also, the ductility of the full scale specimen satisfied the limit in the Specifications (2010). To verify the experimental results, a numerical F.E. analysis was carried and confirmed that the data were similar with results from the test above. The horizontally curved PSC girder fabricated on site was found to have enough strength for safety under and after construction.
