A Study on the Condensation Performance of The Curtain-walls (커튼월 결로 성능평가에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the buildings have been likely to shape Super Tall trend. Therefore, the exterior parts of the buildings come to be changed. Instead of early heavy wall structure, it is changed to light wall concept of curtain wall system. However, the curtain wall system causes lots of loads due to the external surrounding factors of building. In particular, due to the densely built-up condition in Korea, the generation of dew condensation is getting severer Since there has been no standardized process that reviews this generation of dew condensation, it is very urgent for us to prepare the reviewing process for the dew condensation for construction business managers. The purpose of this study is to assess dew condensation function of the curtain wall and provide the basic data for the provision of the future dew condensation review process by comparing and analyzing the range of generation of dew condensation as well as temperature distribution according to the change of relative humidity at the identical temperature by selecting the Unitized system and Stick system which are the representative types of curtain wall system.

Development of the Train Dwell Time Model : Metering Strategy to Control Passenger Flows in the Congested Platform (승강장 혼잡관리를 위한 열차의 정차시간 예측모형)

  • In general, increasing train dwell time leads to increasing train service frequency, and it in turn contributes to increasing the congestion level of train and platform. Therefore, the studies on train dwell time have received growing attention in the perspective of scheduling train operation. This study develops a prediction model of train dwell time to enable train operators to mitigate platform congestion by metering passenger inflow at platform gate with respect to platform congestion levels in real-time. To estimate the prediction model, three types of independent variables were applied: number of passengers to get into train, number of passengers to get out of trains, and train weights, which are collectable in real-time. The explanatory power of the estimated model was 0.809, and all of the dependent variables were statistically significant at the 99%. As a result, this model can be available for the basis of on-time train service through platform gate metering, which is a strategy to manage passenger inflow at the platform.

Effects of different cooking methods on folate retention in selected mushrooms (다양한 조리법에 따른 버섯류의 엽산 리텐션)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effects of different cooking methods (boiling, roasting, stir-frying, and deep-frying) on folate retention in 6 kinds of mushrooms (Beech-, button-, Juda's ear-, oak-, oyster-, and winter-mushrooms) frequently consumed in Korea. In order to assure reliability of analytical data, trienzyme extraction-L casei method was verified and analytical quality control was also evaluated. Folate contents of mushrooms varied by 6.04-64.82 g/100 g depending on the type of mushrooms. and were significantly affected by cooking methods. Depending on cooking methods, folate contents of mushrooms decreased by 22-48%, 2-31%, and 17-56% for Juda's ear-, oak- and oyster-mushrooms, respectively, while 17-90% of folate was increased in Beech mushroom. Overall, the largest weight loss was found in boiled mushrooms, but the lowest one in deep-fried samples. True folate retention rates considering processing factor were less than 100% for all cooked mushrooms except for Beech samples. Overall, folate loss was the largest by boiling with water but the smallest by deep-frying. Both accuracy and precision of trienzyme extraction-L-casei method were excellent based on a recovery close to 100% and coefficient variations less than 3%. Quality control chart of folate analysis (n=26) obtained during the entire study and an international proficiency test (z-score=-0.5) showed that trienzyme extraction-L casei method is reliable enough for production of national folate database.

Complications and Perinatal Factors According to the Birth Weight Groups in the Infants of Diabetic Mothers (당뇨병 산모아에서 출생 체중군에 따른 합병증 및 주산기 인자)

  • Purpose : This study was performed to compare complications and perinatal factors according to the birth weight groups in the infants of diabetic mothers(IDM). Methods : Three hundred and one singleton diabetic mothers and their babies of more than 30 weeks' gestational age admitted in the department of Pediatrics, Chonnam University Hospital from January 1996 to March 2002 were enrolled. Complications and perinatal factors were compared between large for gestational age(LGA) and appropriated for gestational age(AGA) infants. Results : Hypomagnesemia was observed in 37.5%, jaundice in 21.3%, hypoglycemia in 11.1%, hypocalcemia in 7.0%, and birth injury in 19.6%. Congenital anomaly was noted in 24.9% with cardiovascular anomaly most commonly. In the LGA group, the frequencies of jaundice, hypoglycemia, tachypnea, and birth injuries were higher, and the interventricular septum was thicker than the AGA group. In the LGA group, Cesarean section rate, maternal height, weight before pregnancy, weight gain during pregnancy, and the incidence of unawareness of gestational DM were significant compared with the AGA group. Conclusion : In the LGA group, the frequencies of jaundice, hypoglycemia, tachypnea, and birth injuries were higher, and the interventricular septum was thicker than the AGA group. In the LGA group, maternal height, weight before pregnancy and weight gain during pregnancy were larger, and the incidence of unawareness of gestational DM was higher compared with the AGA group. These results suggest that careful examination and management are needed to detect the high risk, pregnant DM mothers with possible LGA babies.

  • KSLV-I (Korea Space Launch Vehicle-I) upper stage KM (Kick Motor) is a solid propulsion system which consists of igniter, SAD (Safety Arming Device), composite case, and submerged nozzle capable of TVC (Thrust Vector Control) actuation. Each subsystem of KM fulfilled development requirements for achieving a flight mission successfully. We confirmed the successful development of KM from the $3^{rd}$ flight test results of NARO on January 30, 2013. This article deals with the requirements of KM and the results on configuration management, mass variation, thrust axis alignment, and major test results and so on.

육계 사육 시 생산원가 절감방안

  • 우리나라 육계의 생산원가는 경쟁국가인 미국과 브라질, 그리고 태국과 비교할 때 매우 높은 편이다. 그이유는 여러 가지가 있겠지만 생산원가의 60% 이상을 차지하고 있는 사료원료 대부분을 수입에 의존하고 있기 때문이다. 또 하나의 이유는 병아리의 생산원가가 높기 때문인데 이는 출하중량이 한창 성장 중에 있는 1.6kg내외에서 이루어지고 있기 때문이다. 경쟁국은 2.0kg이 넘고 있다 세번째 이유는 가구당 사육규모가 작고 계사시설이 열악하여 비용부담이 증가하고 생산성이 떨어지기 때문이다. 그 이외에도 여러 가지 요인이 있겠지만 위 세 가지가 생산원가가 높아지는 이유의 90% 이상을 차지하고 있다. 이중 첫 번째와 두 번째는 이른바 계열주체인 회사나 관계기관에서 극복해야 할 사안이고 사육을 하는 농장에서는 세 번째 요인을 해결해야 한다. 요즘 모든 업종에서 어렵다고 말하는데 우리 양계업의 경우 그 어느 분야보다도 어려움에 직면해 있다. 그러나 어려운 위기 상황이긴 하지만 몇 가지 희망적인 면도 있다. 위기는 항상 위험성과 기회가 동시에 존재하는 매력적인 시기이기 때문이다. 우리가 변화할 준비만 되어 있으면 지금이 좋은 기회라고 필자는 확신한다. 그 희망의 첫 번째는 선진국 예로 보면 식육소비량 변화가 1985년부터 2005년까지 소나 돼지고기 및 우유소비량 보다 계육소비량이 가장 높게 나타나고 있다는 사실이다. 향후는 계육소비가 상대적으로 더욱 증가할 전망이다. 특히 두 번째 희망은 우리나라의 예로 본다면 똑같은 고기 1kg을 생산하는데 쇠고기는 4.5kg의 사료가 필요하고 돼지고기는 2.5kg의 사료가 필요한 반면 닭고기는 사료 1.7kg이면 가능하다는것이다. 국가적으로도 식량안보차원으로 봐도 양계업이 경제적이라는 사실이 확연히 증명되고 있는 것이다. 이러한 두 가지의 큰 희망적인 메시지를 안고 우리 양계업은 각자의 자리에서 경쟁력을 확보하는데 온 힘을 기울여야겠다. 본고에서는 세 번째 요인인 농장에서 사육관리를 하면서 생산비용절감을 위한 방안이 무엇이 있는지 함께 생각해보면서 국제 경쟁력을 높이는데 기여하기를 기대해본다.

  • 포항풍력에너지연구소와 (주)보국전기는 에너지 관리공단의 지원으로 2002년부터 직접구동형 풍력터빈( KBP-750D) 에 사용될 발전기 개발을 시작하여 2005년 3월 개발을 완료하였다. KBP-750D에 사용되는 발전기는 증속을 위한 gearbox를 사용하지 않는 직접 구동형이고, 영구자석을 사용하여 여자하는 형식이다. 이런 특징은 풍력발전에서 요구하는 주요 요구조건인 고 효율, 고 신뢰성을 만족시키기 위해서 매우 중요하다. 개발된 발전기는 25 rpm 에서 800 kW의 정격을 가지도록 설계되었다. 공극 직경은 3,320mm 이며, stator의 길이는 705mm, 공극은 4.5mm 이고, 극수는 84이다. 또한 전체 중량은 약 22 ton이다. 이 논문에서는 발전기의 물리설계, 공학설계, 제작 및 시험결과에 관해서 기술한다.

The Extacting Crack in Asphalt Concrete Pavement by Digital Image Processing (수치영상처리에 의한 아스팔트 포장노면의 균열 검출)

  • Recently, damage of pavement represented by crack is depened by the increase of traffic demand up to ten million and wight, and interest about the efficient management of pavement is being increased gradually according to the growth of maintenance expense of road surface. In this study, the possibility of application for acquisition of crack information was tested by appling DCRP and digital image processing technique and measuring crack on road surface precisely. Based on this, objective and efficient road surface measurement was planned and done. Measuring crack width, acquire result of comparative high accuracy. So, it is considered that it can be utilized as plan draft data for deterioration estimation and repair reinforcement work of pavement.

A Study on Ergonomic Design for Cargo-working Crane Control Room (제품하역기 운전실의 인간공학적 설계에 관한 연구)

  • 포항제철소는 제품의 선적 및 하역업무를 위래 13기의 하역기를 운영 중에 있다. 제품하역기의 운전실태는 1명의 작업자가 탑승하여 제품이 놓여질 선박 내 location을 관리한다. 특히, 중량물을 다루는 만큼 안전사고 방지를 위산 고도의 주의를 요하는 작업이다. 그러나 운전실의 위치가 지상 $13\~24m$에 위치해 있어, 하방 관측을 위해 장시간 머리를 구부려야 하므로 작업피로는 물론 요통 발생 가능성이 높다. 또한, 13기 하역기의 제작사 및 제작 시기에 차이가 있어, User Interfare가 각기 다르다. 주기적으로 하역기를 바꿔 탑승하는 작업자로서는 오조작 가능성이 있어 문제점으로 지적되고 있다. 근본적으로는 이동통로 폭의 협소함에 따른 진$\cdot$출입의 문제, 전장품의 부적절한 배치에 따른 작업자 충돌 문제 등, 기본적인 인간공학적 원칙이 반영되지 않은 운전실설계로 제품하역기 작업자의 업무부하가 가중되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 인간공학적 설계원칙을 반영하여 제품하역기 운전실을 가상환경으로 제작해보고, 3차원 인제 모형을 실제로 탑승시켜 주요 설계 제약조건의 검증을 실시하였다. 3차원 가상환경 및 인체모형의 제작은 상용 3D Tool인 3ds Max 5와 Anthropos Ergomax라는 프로그램을 이용하였다. 이와같은 방법을 통해, 실제 공사 후에 발견될 문제점에 대한 사전 도출이 가능함은 물론, 보다 인간공학적인 운전실 설계가 이뤄질 수 있었다.

Fabrication and Flight Test of Human Powered Aircraft (인간동력항공기 제작 및 비행 시험)

  • Fabrication of human powered aircraft and flight test procedure for pilot training are included in this paper. To meet the weight requirement, very light materials such as carbon fiber and PVC foam are used and the final weight was 41.5kg. Ninety two times of flight test were done at Goheung Aviation Test Center from August to September 2012. When KARI were lack of know-how about human powered aircraft, damages on the aircraft were very frequent. After knowing how to fly and to control, one of two pilots was finally successful in flying further to 240m in the Human Powered Aircraft Contest.
