A Study on the Influencing Relationships of Transaction Risk and Purchase Value on Repurchase Intention for the Second-hand Products (거래위험과 구매가치가 중고제품 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The current study investigated the factors influencing the buyer's repurchase intention for second-hand products. This study first identified perceived risk and purchase value as the two primary influencing variables. Additionally, some exogenous variables influencing these two variables were examined. Statistical analysis using Partial Least Squares (PLS) revealed that product uncertainty, seller uncertainty, and site trust had statistically significant relationships with perceived transaction risk. However, while economic benefit showed a significant impact on purchase value, product scarcity and resale value did not exhibit a significant relationship with purchase value. Perceived transaction risk was found to have an insignificant relationship with repurchase intention, but indirectly influenced repurchase intention through purchase value. Purchase value was identified as having a significant influence on repurchase intention. Therefore, it was concluded that purchase value is the most important factor influencing repurchase intention in the purchase of second-hand products, while transaction risk indirectly influences repurchase intention through purchase value. The study indicates that product uncertainty and economic benefit are the most significant exogenous factors influencing transaction risk and purchase value, respectively.

Statistical Prediction of Used Tablet PC Transaction Price among Consumers (소비자 사이의 중고 태블릿PC 거래 가격의 통계적 예측)

  • This study aims to develop a predictive model to suggest a used sales price to sellers and buyers when trading used tablet PCs. For model development, we analyzed the real used tablet PC transaction data and additionally collected detailed product information. We developed several predictive models and selected the best predictive model among them. Specifically, we considered a multiple linear regression model using the used sales price as a dependent variable and other variables in the integrated data as independent variables, a multiple linear regression model including interactions, and the models from stepwise variable selection in each model. The model with the best predictive performance was finally selected through cross-validation. Through this study, we can predict the sales price of used tablet PCs and suggest appropriate used sales prices to sellers and buyers.

  • As global growth has gradually declined, the Customer to Customer (C2C) market has expanded. And the growth potential of the C2C market is getting higher than in the past. Therefore, in this study, we examined what factors affect the price of used products within the C2C market. In order to examine the factors, we used data provided by Kaggle, which is a data science platform, and Mercari, Japan's largest C2C community marketplace platform. In research methods, the characteristics of the products were selected such as product categories, product status, shipping costs, product brands, and the data were analyzed using a linear mixing model to predict the price of C2C used goods. As a result, the variable that most affected the price was the shipping cost. When the seller paid for the shipping cost, the price would drop more than if the buyer had to pay. This study has been shown that the shipping costs is also an important factor in the used market, which can provide practical implications for customers of real transactions.

  • The survey was conducted on the Bungae Jangter and Danggeun Market, which provide mobile used market services. The goal is to investigate factors that affect the user experience of used market platforms and to compare usability. Based on Peter Morville's Honeycomb Model, a survey and In-depth interviews were conducted to users with experience in secondhand transactions. And we qualitatively analyze the factors that affect the user experience. As a result, there were differences in usability depending on the age of the user. (reliability, how to find things, purpose of using used trading services, etc.) This study focused on actual user experience, so it will help you find a way to develop to user-centered secondhand marketplace services.

Optimization of Improvement Level for Second-Hand Product with Periodic Maintenance Schedule (주기적인 유지보수 계획에 따른 중고제품에 대한 최적 향상수준)

  • Due to a growing demand for the second-hand product, especially for the expensive one, the warranty and maintenance policies for such products have been studied to improve the product reliability of late. In this paper we study a periodic maintenance model for the second-hand product which is purchased by the customer at the age of $x$. When purchased, the dealer provides a warranty of a fixed length during which the product is maintained periodically to reduce the failure rate of the product and thus, to improve the reliability after each maintenance is served. If a failure occurs between two successive maintenances, only minimal repair is conducted. As for the warranty policy, we adopt free non-renewing repair action on each failure, in addition to the periodic maintenance service during the warranty period. Thus, under the given warranty policy, all the maintenance and repair costs incurred during the warranty period are charged to the dealer. For the proposed periodic maintenance scheme, we formulate a cost model to evaluate the expected total cost charged to the dealer during the warranty period and derive an optimal upgrade level of the failure rate at each maintenance to minimize the expected total warranty cost from the perspective of the dealer. We also present numerical results for an optimal upgrade level based on the proposed methods.

The Effect of Consumers′ Environmental Conservation Behavior on the Purchase of Pro-Environmental and Used Products (소비자의 환경보전행동이 환경제품 및 중고제품 구매에 미치는 영향)

  • The effect of consumers' environmental conservation behavior on the purchase of pro-environmental and used products. This study utilized a representative, large data sample to determine consumers' environmental conservation behavior, and purchase of pro-environmental and used products. Differences in these behavioral traits were investigated by socio-demographic variables. In addition, this study investigated the effect of consumers' environmental conservation behavior on the purchase of pro-environmental and used product. The major result were as follows. First, the level of consumers' environmental conservation behavior was low, and consumers did not buy pro-environmental and used products frequently. Second, unemployed married women, consumers with very low or high level of education and high income, consumers older than 40's, and consumers living in apartments showed lower levels of environmental conservation behavior. Third, consumers who were married, dissatisfied with their environmental living conditions, or irrational were more likely to buy pro-environmental products. Men, young, and rational consumers were more likely to buy used products. On the other hand, the level of environmental behavior did not influence the purchase of pro-environmental and used products. The high level of behavior for environmental conservation did not result the purchase of pro-environmental and used products.
