A Study on the Self-Healing Mechanism using Spanning Tree Algorithm for PLC-based Home Network (전력선 홈 네트워크를 위한 스패닝 트리 알고리즘 기반의 자동 중계 기술 연구)

  • The home network environment based on the power line communication has some unexpected events. The noise source from the home appliances makes the network impedance increased, and the transmission packets distorted. Therefore the packet transmission from the source node may not be delivered to the destination node directly. In this paper we propose a new self-healing mechanism which relays the packet to the directly unreachable destination automatically with the help of intermediate nodes. In order to choose the minimum required intermediate nodes our mechanism makes a spanning tree with both the directly reachable nodes and indirectly reachable nodes via the intermedia nodes. We developed the network simulator in order to compare its performance to the Echelon's repeater selecting mechanism. Though it required more packet relations than Echelon's but the reachable probability to the destination was highly increased about two times.

Performance Comparison of Differential Distributed Cooperative Networks with Modulation Scheme and Relay Location (변조방식 및 중계기 위치를 고려한 차등 분산 협력 네트워크의 성능비교)

  • Cooperative networks provides the benefits of performance improvements and capacity increment when the source node transmits signal to the destination node using several relay nodes. In this paper, we consider the cooperative network where the transmission scheme between the source node and relay node use conventional binary signaling, whereas the transmission scheme between thee relay node and destination node adopt the differential space time coding signaling. We analyze the performance of the system depending on the modulation scheme, i.e., coherent and differential modulation, at the source-relay links. The performance depending on the relay location is also compared by considering modulation scheme and the number of relay node.

  • In this paper, we propose network-coding based two-way relay communication using adaptive modulation scheme for satisfying relay QoS(Quality of Service) according to channel environment between user and relay. Two-way relay communication is bidirectional cooperative communication that users exchange own signal with help of relay. Network-coding based two-way relay communication can achieve high throughput compared to conventional scheme through reducing time slots. we propose adaptive M-QAM modulation scheme in network-coding based two-way relay communication for satisfying QoS of relay. Simulation result shows that the proposed scheme satisfies goal QoS of system.

  • This paper presents a new adaptive relay selection scheme for a regenerative orthogonal frequency division multiplexing access(OFDMA) relay network with fairness constrains. In the Proposed scheme, we select the best M relays out of a set of K potential relays to maximize system capacity. Among these selected relays, subcarriers are reallocated to satisfy fairness constraints as well as to minimize the degradation of the system performance. Afterwards, power allocation is performed for each subcarrier based on the water-filling method to enhance the performance improvement. By using the trade-off relationship between the system capacity and the fairness, the modified version of proposed scheme is also investigated.

Cooperative Relaying Scheme Using Multiple Relays in Two-Way Relay Network (양방향 중계 네트워크에서 다중 중계기를 이용한 협력 중계 기법)

  • Two-way relaying scheme based on relay selection can not only achieve higher rate but also get the selection diversity gain according to the number of relays. However the scheme can not achieve combining gain because it does not consider the direct link between users. In this paper, we propose, with multiple relays, opportunistic cooperative two-way relaying scheme and incremental cooperative two-way relaying scheme which can achieve both selection diversity gain and combining gain. Simulation results show that proposed scheme outperform the conventional scheme by achieving both combining gain and selection diversity gain according to the number of relays.

  • Cooperative networks transmit signals form the source node to the destination node via several relay node where the combining and demodulation of relay aided signals provide the benefit of performance enhancement and data rate increment. In general, a repetitive manner transmission scheme in which the received signal from the source node is amplified/re-generated and forward to the destination node is widely used. In this paper, we analyzed the performance of cooperative networks using the mixed transmission scheme. The conventional modulation scheme is used in the source-relay links, and space-time code is applied in the relay-destination links. To reduce the complexity of the overall system, we adopt differential modulation which bypasses channel state information. We analyze bit error rate (BER) of the proposed system by considering the number of relay nodes, and the performances depending on the strength of transmission signal in the source-relays and rely-destination links are compared. In addition, we also discuss the system performance with the signal strength and the number of relay nodes simultaneously.

  • Cooperative networks enhance the performance of communication systems by combining received signals from the several relay nodes where the source node transmits signals to relay nodes. In this paper, we analyze the effect of resource allocation in cooperative networks. We assume that the cooperative networks use the conventional modulation scheme between the source and relay nodes, and adopt space-time code between the relays and destination node. Both the synchronous and differential modulations are applied for the conventional scheme and differential modulation is used for the space-time code. We consider relay location and energy allocation for resource allocation, and the performance of cooperative networks depending on the number of relay is also investigated.

  • 기존 연구에서 무선 인지 네트워크의 성능 분석에 관한 연구는 많았지만 다중 사용자가 존재하는 무선 인지 네트워크에 차량 통신을 접목시킨 무선 인지 차량 네트워크의 성능 분석에 관한 연구는 많지 않았다. 또한 최근 실질적인 채널환경을 고려하기 위해 지연된 채널 상태 정보를 가진 시스템에서의 성능 분석에 대한 연구가 많이 진행되고 있는데, 다중 중계기가 존재하는 무선 인지 차량 네트워크에서 지연된 채널 상태 정보의 영향에 대한 연구는 아직 진행되지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 다중 중계기가 존재하는 무선 인지 차량 네트워크에서 지연된 채널 상태 정보의 영향을 분석한다. 본 논문에서는 스펙트럼 공유(spectrum sharing) 무선 인지 네트워크를 가정하고 차량간 통신이 일어나는 2차 사용자 네트워크의 채널들을 double Rayleigh fading으로 모델링 한다. 성능 분석의 지표로 불능 확률을 사용하고 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통해 지연된 채널 상태 정보의 영향을 확인한다.

  • 현재 ITU (International Telecommunications Union)에서는 4세대 무선 광대역 표준에 대한 제안을 모색하고 있다. 4세대 표준의 유력한 후보군인 LTE-Advanced와 IEEE 802.16m은 고속이용 환경에서도 안정적으로 통신할 수 있도록 상형링크 및 하향링크에 변조기법으로 OFDMA을 사용하고 있다. 또한 셀(Cell) 변두리 지역에서 통신용량을 늘리기 위에 중계단말기를 사용하려고 한다. 이에 따라서 OFDMA 중계 네트워크에 대한 관심이 높아자고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 단일 셀 환경에서 확장된 다중 셀 환경의 OFDMA 중계 네트워크에서 부반송파 및 전력 할당 기법용 제안한다. 제안된 기법에서는 채널정보를 인접 셀과 공유하여 셀 간 간섭을 줄이고 부반송파와 전력을 적응적으로 분배함으로서 각 수신단말기의 최소통신용량을 확보하고 네트워크 지속시간을 늘리는 것을 목적으로 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 이중 홉 무선 네트워크에서 누적분포함수(cumulative distribution function) 기반 중계기 선택 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 수신 신호대잡음비(signal-to-noise ratio)의 누적분포함수 값에 따라 중계기를 선택한다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 기법의 중계기 공정성에 대한 분석을 통해 제안된 기법이 엄격하게 공정성을 달성할 수 있음을 보인다. 그리고 모의 실험에서는 round-robin 기법과 기회적 중계 기법을 제안된 기법과 총 타임 슬롯에 대한 각 중계기별 타임 슬롯 분배율, 평균 공정성, 불능확률 비교를 통해 제안된 기법이 엄격하게 공정성을 달성하는 것과, 기회적 중계 기법과 거의 동일한 기울기로 불능확률이 떨어지는 것을 확인한다.
