Simple Bidirectional Transmission Protocols Cooperative Transmission using Network Coding and Digital Fountain Codes (네트워크 코딩 및 디지털 파운 테인 코드를 사용하여 간단한 양방향 전송 프로토콜)

  • In this paper, we propose a simple bidirectional transmission protocol using network coding and digital Fountain codes. In particular, in the proposed scheme, two sources use digital Fountain codes to transmit their message to each other with the help of relays. Then, relays use Fountain codes and network coding to forward the source messages to both sources. To evaluate performance of the proposed protocols, we present the average total throughput over Rayleigh fading channels via Various Monte-Carlo simulations. Results show that the proposed protocol outperforms the two-way relaying transmission protocol without using network coding technique at high SNR region.

Cooperative Communication Method with Detection Probability on the Cognitive Radio (인지통신에서 검출 확률을 고려한 협력 중계 기법)

  • In the cooperative communication, The relay that transmit signal to destination can achieve diversity gain. But transmitter and relay must have own frequency to transmit signal to destination. If Relay is secondary user and does not have own frequency, relay can't transmit signal to destination. So, To analysis performance of cognitive radio We need to consider detection probability of secondary user. In the paper we propose cooperative communication system considering detection probability. And to compare proposed system and conventional, we also simulate incremental cooperative communication. Through the simulation result, we can know that BER performance of proposed scheme is better than incremental relaying in the cognitive radio.

  • 차등 시공간 블록 코드 시스템은 다이버시티 이득을 송신단에서 파일럿 삽입이 필요 없이 얻을 수 있는 기술로 주목되고 있다. 특히, 협력 네트워크 시스템에서 서비스 영역을 확장하기 위하여 중계기를 사용하게 되는데 자연스럽게 채널 추정 기법을 고려하지 않은 방법들이 연구 되었다. 본 논문은 차등 준 시공간 블록 코드를 이용한 협력 전송 네트워크에서 ML(Maximum Likelihood) 기반의 준 최적 신호 결합 기법을 제시한다. 모의실험 결과를 통해 제안된 수신 결합 기법은 높은 신호 대 잡음비 환경에서 기존에 널리 사용되는 MRC (Maximum Ratio Combining) 기법보다 5dB이상의 이득을 얻는 것을 보여준다.

Performance Analysis of Relay applied to Energy Harvesting (에너지 하베스팅을 적용한 중계기의 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, an energy harvesting scheme is applied in the cooperative communication. The proposed scheme uses an energy harvesting relay in which the relay harvests the energy from the source node and transfers to the power form in forwarding the received data to the destination node. The well-known maximal ratio combining (MRC) technique is applied to increase the diversity gain at the destination. Therefore, with applying the proposed energy harvesting scheme, the limited power at the relay is solved, and the operation efficiency of the network and the mobile devices is improved. Finally, performance of the proposed protocol is analyzed in terms of bit error rate, outage probability, power collection efficiency.

  • 본 논문에서는 다중중계기가 존재하는 인지 차량 네트워크의 성능 분석을 한다. 기존 연구에서 무선 인지 네트워크의 성능 분석에 관한 연구는 많았지만 무선 인지 네트워크에 차량 통신을 접목시킨 무선 인지 차량 네트워크의 성능 분석에 관한 연구는 많지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 언더레이(underlay) 무선 인지 네트워크를 가정하고 차량간 통신이 일어나는 2차 사용자 네트워크의 채널들을 cascaded Rayleigh fading으로 모델링 한다. 성능 분석의 지표로 불능 확률을 사용하고 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통해 분석된 불능확률 값과 모의실험을 통해 얻어진 불능확률 값이 거의 일치한다는 것을 보인다.

  • UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is widely used in various areas such as civil and military applications including entertainment industries. Among them, UAV based communication system is also one of the important application areas. Relays have been received much attention in communication system due to its benefits of performance enhancement and coverage extension. In this paper, we investigate UAVs as relays especially focusing on physical layer. First, we introduce the research on UAV application for the relays, then the basic performance of relay networks in dual-hop communication system is analyzed by adopting decode-and-forward (DF) relaying protocol. The performance is represented using symbol error rate (SER) and UAV channels are applied by assuming asymmetric environments. Based on the performance analysis, we discuss performance enhancement issues by considering physical layer.

  • Recently smart phone and tablet PC are regarded as the most valuable mobile devices, so the demand of customers for multimedia supporting has been greatly increased. The network operators are now considering the deployment of relay stations ensuring low installation costs for its service cell to improve the cell capacity. Enhancing the relay stations, however, increases intra-cell interference, which is affecting the quality of service and outage ratio. In this paper, we present MPFR(Multihop Partial Frequency reuse) as the new frequency reuse scheme to increase cell throughput while maintaining low outage ratio for the OFDMA cellular multihop networks. Dynamic power control is also introduced to improve cell capacity. Overall cell throughput and outage ratio are observed by the simulation, and comparison between MPFR and conventional multihop frequency reuse schemes is convincing the performance enhancement.

  • In this paper, we evaluate the system throughput and the method of optimal wireless resource allocation for the access zone (AZ) and relay zone (RZ) in downlink when the cell coverage is extended using the non-transparent Relay Station (RS) in a 2-hop cellular relay system based on IEEE802.16j, which uses the OFDMA-TDD structure. For the analyses, we first introduce the MAC (Media Access Control) frame structure in the non-transparent mode, then we investigate the interfering elements in both AZ and RZ for the network devices such as the Mobile Station (MS) and RS. Through computer simulation, we analyze the cell coverage extension and system throughput in terms of the distance between Base Station (BS) and RS, then we present the amount of the optimal allocation of wireless resource for the AZ and RZ in downlink using our results.

  • In energy resource constrained networks, the network lifetime can be enhanced by optimally allocating energy resource among users based on the available channel state information and the residual energy information at each node. In this paper, we propose the relay selection scheme and power allocation scheme to maximize the network lifetime in wireless relay networks with capacity constraint. The computer simulation results show that the proposed scheme increase the network lifetime in comparison to the conventional schemes.

  • In this paper, we proposed scheme that obtain diversity gain in the cooperative communication to mitigate, applied to the effects of fading in the vehicle communication. Relay used bus that can available in the city environment. In addition, we applied the double rayleigh fading environment so that can applied in real-environments. Therefore, proposed scheme through this paper applied to vehicle communication, user can acquire a high quality service and the operation efficiency of the network is improved. Finally, performance of the proposed protocol is analyzed in terms of bit error rate.
