Effects of Binding Treatment of Branch on Fruit Enlargement and Coloring of 'Fuyu' Persimmon Fruits (단감 '부유'의 과실 비대와 착색에 대한 결박 처리 영향)

  • To investigate effects of binding treatments of branches (FMB, fruiting mother branch; PSB, secondary scaffold branch; SSB, primary scaffold branch) on enlargement and coloring of persimmon 'Fuyu' fruits in ripening period, the branches were bound by steel wire. For eight weeks after binding treatments, Hunter $a^*$ of fruit peel in FMB and SSB binding treatments was more increased than in the others. In fruit characteristics harvested at eight weeks after the binding treatments, the fruit weight was heavier in the binding treatments than in control, the first of those was in SSB binding. The fruit height was higher in SSB binding than in the others, but the fruit diameter was longer in FMB and SSB binding treatments. Solid soluble content was higher in FMB and PSB binding treatments. $Chroma^*$ of the fruit peel was higher in FMB and PSB binding treatments as Hunter $a^*$ and $b^*$ values were higher and lower in FMB and SSB binding treatments, respectively. Lycopene and $\beta$-carotene content in the fruit peel were higher significantly in PSB and SSB binding treatments, total chlorophyll content in all the binding treatments was lower than in control.

  • Coastal settlements have a diversity of tangible or intangible local assets and are environmentally sensitive areas. The value of tangible or intangible local assets is often overlooked and there is no enough consideration for the inhabitants who have a various and acute stake in the development process of coastal settlements. The development of coastal settlements without consideration for the local circumstance, resident's needs, and local characteristics makes it difficult to achieve sustainable regeneration. There are also alienation, conflicts, and the loss of a authentic sense of place because of physical oriented development without regard to the social, economic, and cultural aspects. This research defines the components and types of coastal settlements and draws the characteristics of them around the fishery ports in Busan in the aspect of sustainable regeneration. It will be the important methods for an integrated regeneration including not only spatial and physical regeneration but also social and economic regeneration which has the preservation of local culture with living conditions, local economy activation, and community building. It will also provides the bases of sustainable development, attractiveness, and competitiveness of coastal settlements.

Effects of Training Methods on Growth and Yield of White Spine Cucumber 'Sharp-1' (정지방법이 백침계 오이 '샤프1호'의 생장 및 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • The effects of training methods on growth and yield of white spine cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. cv. Sharp-1) were examined. The numbers of nodes, leaf area and root weight were in the order of, from high to low, ateral vine, main plus lateral vine, and main vine training. The total and marketable fruit yields were higher by the lateral training method than those by the other ones. The labor required for training was in the order of, from low to high, lateral vine, main vine, and main plus lateral vine training methods.

Effect of Boron in Nutrient Solution on Root Development and Freezing Tolerance of Mulberry

  • The experiment was carried out to define the effect of the boron in nutrient solution on the development of mulberry root and cold damage. The length of shoots only attained about 50cm and then stopped in case of boron deficiency, while the mulberry trees developed vigorous and attained over 190cm long under boron supply condition. When boron is deficient, the measles appeared on surface of the stem and the necrosis appeared on the petiole, midribs and veins of leaves. At 70 days after planting, almost all new roots and old roots changed to brown, the lateral roots became necrosis by boron deficiency. After three days of stopping boron supply, many new roots changed to brown and after two days of boron resupply, new roots began to grow out and then new roots normally developed. Content of boron in leaves and barks increased by the increase of boron concentration in nutrient solution and maximum boron content in leaves and barks was obtained with boron-sufficient treatment of 0.5ppm. Treatment of 0.5ppm boron supply indicated that the leaves and barks contained more phospholipid, protein, sugar, RNA and proline than treatment of 0.01ppm boron supply in nutrient solution. The cuttings grown in boron supply nutrition have a sufficient tolerance at -10$^{\circ}C$ and -15$^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours while cuttings grown in boron-deficient nutrition have a weak tolerance at the same condition. As mentioned above, we can conclude that the effect of boron deficiency on root development is much severe and the relationship between the lack of boron and cold damage is very closely related.

  • 산한지통(散寒止痛)의 효능(效能)이 있는 고량강(高良薑)이 체내 면역활성에 미치는 영향을 검토하기 위하여 인삼과 함께 실험을 행하여 아래와 같은 결과를 얻었다. 고량강(高良薑) 및 인삼 수침액을 Sarcoma-180 고형 종양 세포를 이식한 생쥐에 투여하여 생존기간을 연장시켰다. 이를 바탕으로 면역에 대한 효과를 검토한 결과, 정상 ICR 생쥐에서 고량강(高良薑) 수침액은 백혈구수, 체중에 대한 상대적 비장의 무게를 약간 감소시켰으나 통계적으로는 유의성이 없었고, 간에는 영향을 주지 않았다. in vitro 실험에서, splenic IgM PFCs을 유의성있게 증가시켰으며, BSA를 주사한 생쥐에서의 Arthus반응도 증가시켰다. 그러나, 지연형 과민반응에는 영향을 주지 않았으며, 비특이성 면역에 관여하는 Macrophage 등의 탐식 세포의 기능에도 영향을 주지 않았다. 이상의 결과, 고양강은 체액성 면역을 강화할 것으로 보여진다.

  • 본 논문에서는 SNMP를 이용한 Nerwork Management System(NMS)이 Network을 사용하는 Application에 영향을 주지 않도록 하는 Polling 전략과 Model을 설계하였다. 제안된 System은 Network의 각 Client 정보를 처리하는 Agent와 Data 수집 및 제어를 담당하는 Server로 구성된다. Agent는 SNMP Agent 부분과 Network 상태를 Monitoring 하는 SubManager로 구성되어, Server는 SNMP Agent와의 Polling 및 Polling 정책을 결정하는 부분으로 구성된다. 제안 Model은 SNMP를 이용한 NMS를 도입할 경우, 기존 Network Service에 영향을 주지 않도록 하는 것이 목적이다. 제안된 System에 대한 성능평가를 위해 실존하는 Network을 대상으로 SNMP의 Polling 및 Service의 부하량을 측정하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 웹 서버에게 부하를 주지 않으면서 네트워크를 통해 원격으로 로깅 하는 시스템인 원격 웹 서버 로깅 시스템을 구현하였다. 구현된 로깅 시스템은 웹 서버의 종류와는 관계없이 로그 데이터를 수집할 수 있으며, 여러 개의 서버 군으로 이루어진 시스템에서도 각 시스템의 웹 서버나 환경과는 관계없이 독립적으로 로그 데이터를 수집할 수 있다는 장점을 갖고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 웹 서버에게 미치는 오버헤드를 측정해 본 결과, 부하를 거의 주지 않음으로써 로깅 시스템으로 인한 웹 서버의 성능 저하를 일으키지 않는다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
