Post Recommendation Using Link-based Similarity in Blogosphere (블로그 공간에서 링크 기반 유사도를 이용한 게시글 추천)

  • 본 논문에서는 링크 기반 유사도 계산을 이용해서 블로그 공간에서 사용자가 관심을 가질만한 게시글들을 사용자에게 추천하는 방안을 제안한다. 제안된 방안은 사용자가 관심을 가졌던 게시글들 중에서 시드 게시글을 선택하고 링크 기반 유사도를 계산하여 시드 게시글과 가장 유사하다고 판단되는 k개의 게시글들을 사용자에게 추천한다. 또한, 시드 게시글들 중에서 추천하고자 하는 주제가 아닌 다른 주제의 게시글들이 잘못 추천되는 문제를 해결하기 위해서 시드 게시글과 동일한 주제라고 확실시 되는 게시글들만을 점진적으로 찾아 추천하는 방안을 제안한다. 실제 블로그 데이터를 이용한 실험을 통하여 제안하는 추천 방안의 우수성을 검증한다.

Development and Application of STEAM Education Program based on Topic-specific Project (주제중심 프로젝트 기반 STEAM 교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용)

  • For this study, we reviewed theoretical background of STEAM education and domestic and international studies in STEAM education, by doing so, we developed and applied the STEAM education program based on topic-specific project. This program is designed for the 3rd and 4th lesson of 6th graders' science in elementary school. As a result, the positive attitude about science of the students who went through the researched program increased with meaningful difference compared to that of the sample population. The result of this study shows that the STEAM education program based on topic-specific project can brings positive changes for the science-related affective domains.

Topic-based Multi-document Summarization Using Non-negative Matrix Factorization and K-means (비음수 행렬 분해와 K-means를 이용한 주제기반의 다중문서요약)

  • This paper proposes a novel method using K-means and Non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) for topic -based multi-document summarization. NMF decomposes weighted term by sentence matrix into two sparse non-negative matrices: semantic feature matrix and semantic variable matrix. Obtained semantic features are comprehensible intuitively. Weighted similarity between topic and semantic features can prevent meaningless sentences that are similar to a topic from being selected. K-means clustering removes noises from sentences so that biased semantics of documents are not reflected to summaries. Besides, coherence of document summaries can be enhanced by arranging selected sentences in the order of their ranks. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves better performance than other methods.

  • 최근 Twitter를 비롯한 소셜 네트워크 서비스의 급속한 확산으로 인해, 많은 수의 SNS 메시지가 실시간으로 생성되고 있다. 이러한 SNS 상의 모든 글을 읽어보는 것은 현실적으로 불가능하며, 여러 포탈 사이트에서 제공되는 실시간 검색어 순위만으로는 상세 내용을 직관적으로 파악하기 어렵다. 따라서, 이러한 SNS상의 글을 실시간으로 분석하여 최신의 트렌드를 찾고 이와 연관된 내용을 분류 및 요약할 수 있다면, 사용자에게 유용한 최신 정보를 생성하여 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 Tweet 들을 분석하여 얻은 트렌드 키워드를 기반으로 관련된 Tweet 들을 주제 별로 분류한 후, 각 주제 별로 세부 내용을 요약해서 제공하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 실시간으로 생성되는 Tweet 내에서 최근 화제가 된 트렌드 및 연관 키워드를 추출해낸다. 그 후, 해당 키워드가 출현한 Tweet 내에서 핵심 키워드를 찾고, 이를 기반으로 Tweet 들을 각각의 주제별로 분류하고 각 주제를 '이슈'로 정의한다. 마지막으로, 특정한 이슈에 해당되는 Tweet들을 분석하여 각 이슈 별로 키워드 리스트 및 단문 형식으로 요약된 줄거리를 생성한다. 제안된 기법을 바탕으로 프로토타입 시스템을 구현하고, 다양한 실험을 통하여 이슈 검출 기법의 유용성 면에서 성능을 평가한다.

Development of smart education programs on clothing in Home Economics education (스마트교육을 기반으로 한 의생활교육 프로그램 개발)

  • This study developed smart education programs on clothing in Home Economics education for middle school students and assessed the validity of the programs. To create a self-directed adaptive learning model, 'Textile fibers' was selected as a topic. A digital textbook was developed to provide an adaptive learning experience to each student. The students can learn the contents of the digital textbook via their smart phones or tablet PCs in their Home Economics classes. To create a cooperative learning model for a good communication, 'Recycling clothes' was selected as a topic. Students can cooperate to solve the problems via Google docs and facebook in their Home Economics classes. The programs gained more than 4.5 on a 5-point Likert scale. The results of the assessment indicated that the smart education programs on clothing are appropriate to enhancing the self-directed learning, communication, and cooperation competencies of the students in Home Economics classes.

  • Recent advances in the 4th Industrial Revolution have accelerated the change of the shopping behavior from offline to online. Search queries show customers' information needs most intensively in online shopping. However, there are not many search query research in the field of search, and most of the prior research in the field of search query research has been studied on a limited topic and data-based basis based on researchers' qualitative judgment. To this end, this study defines the type of search query with data-based quantitative methodology by applying machine learning to search research query field to define the 15 topics of search query by conducting topic modeling based on search query and clicked document information. Furthermore, we present a new classification system of new search query types representing searching behavior characteristics by extracting key variables through principal component analysis and analyzing. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the establishment of effective search services and the development of search systems.

A Study of Reconsideration for Users in the Subject-Special Librarians of the University Libraries (대학도서관의 주제전문사서에 대한 이용자 인식제고방안에 관한 연구)

  • At the time of operating and studying the subject special librarians of university libraries, an aim of this study is to seek the ways for the users to be aware and make the best use of them, and to receive the necessary assistance from them. To achieve this, I examined carefully the operation and management states, and surveyed and analyzed the actual users' awareness of these operations. Furthermore, I investigated the way to improve the required qualifications to be subject-special librarians and the users' awareness of them. Therefore, I finally examined the way how they reconsidered the actual users in the university libraries.

  • For a wireless ad-hoc network, event routing algorithm of the publish/subscribe system is especially important for the performance of the system because of the dynamic characteristic and constraint network of its own. In this paper, we propose a new hybrid event routing algorithm. TopSim for efficient publish/subscribe system on the wireless ad-hoc network by extending the ShopParent algorithm by considering not only network overheads to choose a Parent of the publish/subscribe tree, but also topic similarity which is closeness of subscriptions. Our evaluation shows our proposed TopSim performs better for the case where a new joining node subscribed to the multiple topics and there is a node among Parent candidate nodes who subscribe to the ones in the list of multiple topics (related topics).

Analysis of Epistemic Thinking in Middle School Students in an Argument-Based Inquiry(ABI) Science Class (논의기반 탐구(ABI) 과학수업에서 나타나는 중학생들의 인식론적 사고 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine epistemic thinking in middle school students in an argument-based inquiry science class. Participants of the study were 93 9th grade students from four classes of a middle school in a metropolitan city. Observations were made over one semester during which argument-based inquiry lessons on five subjects were conducted. Data was collected from argument-based inquiry activity worksheets and student questionnaires. After analysis of epistemic thinking in the written reflections, students were found to have the highest frequency of epistemic metacognitive skills, followed by epistemic cognition, epistemic metacognitive experience, and epistemic metacognitive knowledge. While investigating the effects of an argument-based inquiry science class on student epistemic thinking and after analysis of the reflections written for the first ABI activity and the fifth ABI activity, we found that all of the sub-elements of epistemic thinking have increased. The rate of growth for epistemic cognition is greatest, followed by epistemic metacognitive knowledge and epistemic metacognitive skills. Assessed for epistemic thinking, the level of epistemic thinking improved over the course of the argument-based inquiry science class. The results of the survey show that students actively participating and being recognized for their active participation in the argument-based inquiry science class are helpful in understanding scientific knowledge. Therefore, an argument-based inquiry science class is a teaching and learning program that allows students to understand and experience the epistemic nature of scientific knowledge and its construction through collaboration and agreement.

A Policy Study on Subject-oriented Specialization of University Libraries to Facilitate Sharing of National Academic Information Resources (국가적 학술정보공동활용의 활성화를 위한 대학도서관의 주제별 특성화 정책에 관한 연구)

  • Joint collection and sharing of specialized academic resources among academic libraries will not only promote academic research at universities in general but also further diversification and concentration process of academic libraries. For that both the government and universities should make concerted policy efforts to fortify individual characteristics of each academic library. This study proposes two concrete plans to build a national information management system comprising the specialized resources of academic libraries. One is to utilize the existing cooperative network of Korea Education & Research Information Service(KERIS) as a national hub for information exchange, and the other is to activate various regional or subject-based committees to encourage subject-oriented specialization of university libraries.
