  • This thesis is focused on online education and proposes a guideline for selecting teaming theories and multimedia representation without difficulty. On the first, consideration of learning theories and analysis of multimedia properties are made, and from these results guidelines are formed. Then they are applied to each 6 types of CAI. Objectivism and constructivism could be used for the basic framework of CAI. The former is suitable for reed, sequential, structural, and passive learning style and the latter is suitable for selectable, unstructural, active, self-controled, learning style. And the quideline for selecting multimedia representation is made out of the properties of media, learners(cognitive model, proficiency, acceptance), and teaming contents. On the basis of guideline obtaining from the previous process, I suggest mosts suitable conditions for each 6 types of CAI available today. Those conditions are consist of learning theories, media selection, levels of learners, and categories and properties of teaming contents.

A Motion-driven Selective Visual Attention System (모션 기반 선택적 주의 시스템)

  • In this paper, a selective visual attention module based on motion stimuli is introduced for the purpose of detecting ROI(region of interest) or FOA(focus of attention) in motion pictures. Analysis of motion fields in our approach is in direct contrast to some of the previous studies of selective visual attention module. Motion that presents temporal visual saliency in an aspect between two successive frames is analyzed based on psychological studies in 'DORF(double opponent receptive fields)' and 'NF(noise filtration)' in MT(middle temporal cortex). Analyzed results are integrated based on the theory of 'motion integration' in MT to obtain a single conspicuous region. Experiments through a human subjective evaluation showed generally accepted results.

Food Organisms and Feeding Selectivity of Postlarvae of Slimy (Leiognathus nuchalis) in Kwangyang Bay, Korea (광양만 주둥치 (Leiognathus nuchalis) 후기자어의 먹이생물과 선택성)

  • To investigate the food organisms and feeding selectivity of slimy (Leiognathus nuchalis) during the postlarval stage, the gut contents of the fish, captured in Kwangrang Bay in 1995, were observed. The food organisms in the gut were composed of copepod egg and nauplius, Tintinnopsis spp. and Codonellopsis sp. The indices of relative importance (IRI) indicated that Tintinnopsis spp. was the most dominant food item ($80.6\%$), and copepod nauplius was the next ($18.5\%$). Tintinnopsis spp. was the most favorite food item: it occupied $73.8\%$ of gut contents, though it did $39.2\%$ of microzooplankton in the surrounded water. The composition of copepod nauplius was higher in the larvae shorter than 2.0 mm NL. As slimy larvae grew, the size of food organisms in the gut was not changed, and their number increased, and the selectivity for food items increased.

  • 당뇨인이 먹는 것에 신경을 쓰는 것은 당연지사. 하지만 대개 먹는 양을 줄이고 제한된 음식을 섭취하는 것 뿐이다. 우리가 조리한 음식에는 숨은 칼로리가 많다. 이 때문에 조리 시에도 주의가 요구된다. 칼로리를 낮추는 조리라고해서 음식 선택 폭도 좁아진다는 오해는 하지말자. 다양한 재료와 새로운 맛으로 먹는 재미가 한층 더해질 것이다.

  • 본 연구는 한국어를 학습한 경험이 없는 일본인의 한국어 치경폐쇄음 세 음소 범주(/ㄷ/, /ㄸ/, /ㅌ/)에 대한 지각 학습이 양순폐쇄음 세 음소(/ㅂ/. /ㅃ/, /ㅍ/) 지각에 미치는 효과를 검토하였다. 김윤현과 김정오 (2005)는 일본인들이 지각 학습과제에서 한국어 치경폐쇄음 세 범주를 구분할 때 기식성. 긴장성과 같은 변별 자질에 선택주의 하게 됨을 시사하는 결과를 얻었다. 치경음에 대한 지각 학습으로 적절한 단서에 선택주의 하게 되었다면, 같은 지각 차원에 따라 세 범주로 구분되는 양순음의 경우에도 치경폐쇄음 학습 후 음성자극들을 옳게 범주화를 할 것이다. 실험 결과, 치경폐쇄음 자극(/다/, /따/, /타/)만으로 이루어진 동일-상이판단 학습 과제에서 치경폐쇄음 파악의 정확율은 29.1%(표준오차=3.02) 증가하였고, 조음 위치의 변화에 따른 음향적 차이에도 불구하고 양순폐쇄음의 정반응율도 15.8%(표준오차=3.27)의 향상을 보였다. 이 전이효과는 치경음 지각 학습 때문에 일본인들이 폐쇄음의 세 음소 범주를 구분하는 적절한 지각 차원에 선택주의하게 되었음을 시사한다.

Covid 19 News Data Analysis and Visualization

  • In this paper, we calculate the word frequency by date and region using news data related to COVID-19 distributed for about 8 months from December 2019 to July 2020, and visualized the correlation with the current state data of COVID-19 patients using the results. News data was collected from Big Kids, a news big data system operated by the Korea Press Promotion Foundation. The visualization system proposed in this paper shows the news frequency of the selected region compared to the overall region, the key keyword of the selected region, the region of the main keyword, and the date change of the selected region. Through this visualization, the main keywords and trends of COVID-19 confirmed and infected people can be identified for previous events.

Effects of Object- and Space-Based Attention on Working Memory (대상- 및 공간-기반 주의가 작업기억에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the effects of space- and object-based attention on spatial and visual working memory, by measuring recognition of working memory on the spatial Stroop task including two modalities of attention resource. The similarity condition of stimulus arrangement between working memory task and spatial stroop task was manipulated in order to examine the effects of space-based attention on spatial rehearsal during working memory task, while Stroop rendition was manipulated in order to examine the effects of object-based attention on object rehearsal during working memory task. The results showed that in a condition that stimulus arrangement was highly similar for the spatial working memory task and the spatial Stroop task, recognition accuracy of the spatial working memory was high, but it was not significantly different with the Stroop conditions. In contrast, the recognition accuracy of visual working memory in the incongruent Stroop condition was lower than that in the congruent Stroop condition, but it was not significantly different with the similarity conditions (25% vs. 75%). The results indicated that selective attention has effects on working memory only when resource modality of working memory is the same as that of selective attention.

A CLINICAL TRIAL OF FLUOXETINE IN THE TREATMENT OF SELECTIVE MUTISM (선택적 함구증 환자에서의 Fluoxetine 치험)

  • We examine the clinical efficacies of fluoxetine in treating the children with selective mutism. In an 8-week open-label clinical study, 17 children with selective mutism are received 20-60mg/day of fluoxetine. Our results reveal that 13 subjects(76%) of 17 subjects improve statistically in within subjects comparison of pre- and post-treatment changes in the scores of Clinical Global Impression scale for mutism, Children’s Depression Inventory scale, and Revised Children’s Manifest Anxiety Scale. These data suggest that selective serotonergic antidepressants may be effective in treating selective mutism in children and adolescents.
