Development and Application of Theme-based Integrated Teaching/Learning Plan focused on Green Life of Clothing, Food, and Housing in Home Economics (가정교과내 의.식.주생활 영역의 주제중심 통합 교수.학습 과정안 개발 및 적용 - '가족의 생활'과 '가정생활의 실제' 단원의 녹색생활요소를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this research is to develop a theme-based integrated teaching/learning plan in clothing, food, and housing in home economics and to apply the developed process in classes for evaluation in order to identify the suitability in schools. The theme-based integrated teaching/learning plan developed on the basis of textbooks consist four sub-themes; choosing($1^{st}$ and $2^{nd)$ lessons), using($3^{rd}$ lesson), processing ($4^{th}$ lesson), and alternatives($5^{th}$ and $6^{th}$ lessons) under the main theme of 'green family life'. The results from 20 individual and group activities showed that the students actively solved the problems when the presented cases were related to their own lives or experiences. The opportunity to implement green life through activities motivated students' willingness to proceed in real life. However, it is vital to assist integrated thinking through various examples before beginning due to students with difficulties connecting the issue from one area to the other during the problem-focused activity. The students' ability to solve the activity workbook had been improved as the lessons continued. From the survey questions on the theme-based integrated lessons, all items associated with integration of clothing, foods, and housing were positively responded. Also, questions regarding general understanding, suitability and satisfaction on the teaching/learning process were marked positive. The conclusion could be that the integrated theme related to clothing, food, and housing in our life would be appropriate for green family life. The theme-based integrated teaching/learning plan is effective in understanding the occurrence of green family life in relation with clothing, food, and housing, identifying the practical ideas implementing green life in those areas, and improving the integrated ability to solve the green life related problems. However, this research has its weakness in generalizing the results due to its limited survey respondents and post-evaluation being the only assessment conducted.

The Effect of 40-hour Work Week System on Leisure Life of Workers (주 40시간 근무제가 노동자 여가생활에 미친 영향)

  • The 40-hour work week system has brought positive impact on shortening working hours, eliminating long-time work, increasing leisure-time with family, etc. And this has brought about an increase in leisure-life satisfaction and happiness level. The type of leisure activities has changed from passive activities such as rest to active activities such as sports, tourism. And the 40-hour work week system has positive impact on social activities such as participation in volunteer work and, club activities. Thus all efforts need to be made to establish 40-hour work week system as soon as possible in all workplace. Firstly, 40-hour work week system needs to be introduced to every workplace with less than 5 persons, enlarge 5-day school week system into every primary and secondary school, and create conditions for positive leisure activities. Secondly, labor standards supervision and administration needs to be strengthened to eliminate long-time work over 52 hours per week, below-minimum wage work.

Importance of objectives of Housing unit in Home Economics by three systems of action of Home Economics teachers in middle school (중학교 가정과 교사가 인식하는 주생활 영역의 세 행동체계별 목표 중요도)

  • The purpose of this research was to develop objectives of Housing contents in Technology$\cdot$Home Economics by three systems of action and to find out the importance of the objectives of the teachers have taught the class. The 303 teachers from 183 middle schools replied the mail questionnaire during September, 2003. The data were analyzed by SPSS/win. The 21 objectives for each system of action were developed based on the textbooks, teachers guides, and other related references. The importance of the objectives related to communicative system of action was the highest, respectively followed by the ones related to technical and emancipatory systems of action. Indoor Environment & Equipment was more likely to be important than Maintenance & Repairs as the objectives related to communicative system of action, while Usage of Living Space was less likely to be important than the other two sub-units. The importance of the objectives was somewhat differed by the general characteristics of the teachers. The older are the more important the objectives related to technical system of action. Female, Home Economics teachers, who learned philosophy of Home Economics were more likely to think than others objectives related to communicative and emancipatory systems of action to be important. This research showed the teachers' perspectives of the objectives of Housing contents were not the same among respondents and generally supported the previous results from other contents of Home Economics.

Anti-aging Effect on Skin with 9 Repetitive Steaming and Fermenting Process Herbal Composition Extract (구증구포(九蒸九炮) 발효(醱酵) 한약(韓藥) 혼합물(混合物)이 피부(皮膚) 노화(老化)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • Objectives : We investigated the anti-aging effects on skin with 9 Repetitive steaming and fermenting herbal composition extract (FHE). Methods : Herbal composition is comprised of Panax Ginseng, Rehmannia glutinosa, Polygonum multiflorum and Polygonatum Sibiricum. They steamed and fermented with Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Lactobacillus brevis by turns at 9 times. We measured various effects related to skin aging such as scavenging activity against free radical, cell proliferation, collagen synthesis and toxicity of 9 repetitive steaming and fermenting herbal composition extract were evaluated and compared with herbal composition extract (HE). Results : As the number of steaming and fermenting cycle increased free-radical scavenging activity were increased. But cell proliferating ratio was not increased when the number of steaming and fermenting cycle. The FHE could significantly increase the collagen synthetic ratio compared with HE treated group. And, FHE was showed no toxicity at all tested concentrations. Conclusions : The results of our study propose that FHE has good anti-aging effects on skin.

Home Management Behavior Stress and Life Satisfaction Perceived by Employed Wives and Unemployed Wives (취업주부와 비취업주부의 가정관리행동시 스트레스 인지수준과 가정생활만족도)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 주부의 취업여부에 따른 가정관리 행동시 스트레스와 가정생활만 족도를 비교.분석하고 관련변인에 따른 차이를 분석하며 가정생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 제반 변인을 고찰하여 주부들의 스트레스를 해소함과 동시에 가정생활의 만족도를 증진시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 데 있다. 본 연구는 예비조사를 거쳐본조사를 실시하였고 설문지는 총 500부를 배부하였으나 응답이 부실기재된 것을 제외한 328부가 분석자료로 사용되었고 모든자료의 분석방법은 SPSS program package를 이용하였다. 본 연구의 중요한 결과를 요 약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 가정관리행동과 스트레스 인지수준은 취업주부가 비취업주부보다 높 게 나타났다. 2)가정생활만족도는 취업주부와 비취업주부간에 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 3)취업주부와 비취업주부의 가정관리행동시 스트레스 인지수준과 가정생활만족도는 의미있는 부적상관을 나타냈다. 4)취업주부와 비취업주부의 가정생활만족도에 가장 큰영향을 미치는 변인은 남편의 지지도로 밝혀졌으며, 이외에 취업주부의 가정생활만족도는 가사노동선호도, 주생활 관리행동시 스트레스에 의하여, 비취업주부의 가정생활만족도는 가사노동선호도, 애정 및 기질 관리 행동시 스트레스, 가사노동에 대한 가치평가에 의하여 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 설날을 맞는 사람들의 마음은 언제나 풍요롭고 설레였다. 비록 경제적 어려움이 커지고, 삶은 피곤하지만 다가오는 설을 기다리는 사람들의 마음은 예나 지금이나 같다. 그 한결같음은 바로 우리 옛 것으로부터 나온다. 돌멩이 하나로 하루가 즐거운 소박한 놀이, 세월이 지날수록 정겨워지는 생활용품들, 품위 있고 맛깔스런 우리의 생활 음식, 자연을 거스르지 않는 삶의 공간. 설날을 맞아 우리 전통을 생각해 본다. 주로 생활에서 문화사적 의미를 길어올린 내용의 책을 중심으로 소개한다.

생활환경관리 주요 정책 추진방향

  • 우리의 생활공간에서 실내공기, 소음, 전자파 등 생활공해로 인한 피해는 시시각각으로 일어나고 있다. 그 동안 깨끗하고 쾌적한 실내환경과 정온한 생활환경 속에서 모든 국민이 건강하게 생활할 수 있도록 다양한 생활환경관리 정책을 추진해 왔다. 하지만, 정부의 노력만으로는 한계가 있다. 국민이 편안한 생활환경의 창출을 위해서는 그 구성원의 자발적인 노력과 참여가 필요하다.

  • 본 연구는 지난 30여 년 동안 두 번의 신도시개발 정책으로 인하여 이원적 도시구조를 지니게 된 성남시의 차별적 생성과 변화를 행위주체자로서 여성을 선택하여 그들의 생활세계-생활사, 사회.경제적 배경, 지역정체성, 지역사회의 관계, 일상과 생활공간-를 통하여 공간과 사회와의 관계에서 경험적으로 입증하고자 하였다. 그 결과 성남시는 차별성을 지닌 두 지역사회를 생성하게 되었으며, 각 장소의 행위주체자(여성)의 생활세계에 있어서도 차별적 특성을 나타내어 기존시가지 주부들은 신시가지에 <가까이 하려는> 경향을, 신시간지 주부들는 <구별짓기>의 경향을 나타내고 있었다. 또한 전업주부의 일상생활을 통해서 볼 때 기존시가지의 경우에는 오전에는 주로 부업활동에, 오후에는 주변 이웃과의 교제활동을 주로 함으로써 자신의 거주지를 생산현장으로서의 공간으로 형성해 가고 있는 반면 신시가지 주부들은 오전에는 사적인 생활 즉 여가활동에, 오후에는 자녀교육활동에 참여하는 등 자신의 거주지를 소비현장으로서의 공간으로 형성해 가고 있었다.

A Study on Middle School Students' Interests in Housing Education Contents of Technology Home Economics Subject - Based on Jeonbuk Province - (중학생의 기술 가정교과 중 주생활 교육내용에 대한 흥미도 연구 - 전북지 역을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to research middle school students' interests in the housing education contents of Technology Home Economics Subject - to classify the contents into three units, we have application of living space, indoor environment and equipments, support and repair of housing. This study has a subject of 529 middle schoolers living in Jeonbuk province. In this statistical analysis, SPSS program was utilized to analyze percentage, mean and standard deviation. These materials were also verified by t-test. The results of this research were as follows: Middle school students' interests in housing education contents stayed at a mid-level. There was a significant difference in contents interest according to their gender - boys appeared to have a higher interest than girls. On the basis of these results, it can be suggested that these results offer fundamental information for improving students' critical practice in their real life. Since this study has conducted a limited research with a topic of housing education only, it is essential that further research covering a wider array of themes be done in the future.
