This study examines how people perceive and experience busyness, which is a great social pressure in the Korean society, and The socio-psychological motives that drive people's different paces of life, such as busyness or slowness, despite being in the same busy reality, were examined. Furthermore, an in-depth study was conducted on the adaptation factors in the real society according to the speed of individual life. The analysis of this study was based on an in-depth interview data of 21 unmarried men and women in their 20s and 30s, and was conducted using a phenomenological qualitative analysis method. As a result, the perception and experience of being busy had both positive and negative parts. The components of socio-psychological motivation that affect the speed of an individual's life are 'internalization of positive values of (busy/rest)', '(future/present) centric', 'selection & concentration/Inertial busyness', 'personality characteristics' were derived. In addition, 'self-selection', 'successful time management', and 'maintenance of psychological health' were derived as common factors among adaptation factors in real society, 'a sense of achievement' and 'understanding and accepting self-characteristics' were derived as discriminatory factors. became Based on these results, the value and meaning of being busy in Korean society was discussed from a social psychology perspective, and a new perspective was presented to existing studies and discussions related to the speed of life. In addition, several follow-up studies were proposed.
The present study was conducted to determine convergent factors affecting depression in drinker by age. This was a cross-sectional secondary data analysis study that used the raw data from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey in 2014 & 2016. The subjects of the present study were 4,446 middle-aged drinker. Variables related to general characteristics, physical and psychological factors were selected. After a sampling plan compound file was created using IBM SPSS 23.0 program, data were analyzed by giving weights. Depression was influenced by gender (30s, 50-60s), income (30-40s, 60s), education (30-40s), number of family members (30-60s), job (30-60s), eating level (30-40s, 60s), hypertension (40s), DM (30-40s), BMI (30-40s), smoking (30s, 50s), exercise (30s), weight control (60s), drinking binge (30-60s), subjective health (30-60s), subjective body awareness (30-50s), stress (30s-60s), quality of life (30-60s). It is required to design preventive interventions and management plans for depression, considering these factors comprehensively.

Urban Green space takes charge of the important role for the physical activity and promotion of health to the residents. Therefore, this study is trying to examine the relationship between the various characteristics of green space and green space usage for physical activity and health promotion. A questionnaire survey was conducted to obtain the information about patterns of green space usage and perceived neighborhood environments for the residents living in Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do(n=541). Geographic Information System(GIS) was used to construct spatial data about green space accessibility and physical neighborhood environments. A Multiple Linear Regression model was used to examine the association between the characteristics of green space and physical activity, perceived health status and BMI(Body Mass Index). The study results revealed that the residents' physical activities are positively and directly influenced by the number of available public parks and green spaces in the vicinity(${\leq}200m$). The frequency at which residents witness others exercising nearby or the perceived abundance of low-cost gym facilities also factor as positive influences. The closer to the park, the higher the number of parks and area of green spaces, the more comfortable the walk thereto and the denser the neighboring residential area distribution, the perceived health level was found to be the more positively influenced. Further, it was verified that BMI is correlated with the number of public parks and green spaces within 400 m of the resident's home as well as the safety of walkways, the density of neighboring residential areas, the ratio of road, and the density of crosswalk. The significant multiple regression models between the characteristics of green spaces and physical activities and perceived health level were extracted within the significance level of 10%. This study will contribute to provide better understanding the ways in which green space and neighborhood characteristics are associated with physical activity and health. The result of this research will be available in the landscape architecture plan aimed at improving the use of green space for physical activity and reducing obesity.
The purpose of this study was to survey the relationship of the self-esteem of high school students, their oral health knowledge and practice, AMPQ and life satisfaction in a bid to provide some information on how to lead high school students to get into the right oral health habits. The subjects in this study were the students who were in all the seven senior classes in a high school that was selected by convenience sampling from a city in Gyeonggi province. After a survey was conducted in November, 2010, the following findings were given: There were no significant gaps among the students in every regard according to whether they received academic or vocational education. But the students who received academic education had a better oral health knowledge than the others, though the intergroup gap was not significant. As a result of checking the influence of the variables affecting the oral health practice of the adolescents, AMPQ was identified as the most influential variable, and oral health knowledge and subjective health status also had an impact on oral health practice. There were statistically significant differences according to those variables (p<0.001).

The purpose of this study was to examine relation between perception on hospice and attitude toward death to provide baseline data for the development of programs for hospice or death-related education for university students. The survey was performed on 150 students in four universities in B metropolitan city. The data was collected from July 30 to August 13, 2019. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA Pearson's correlation coefficient with the SPSS/WIN 26.0 program. The mean of perception on hospice score was 3.06 out of 4, of the attitude toward death, 'neutral acceptance', 'fear of death', 'death avoidance', 'approach acceptance', and 'escape acceptance' had average scores of 5.31, 3.77, 3.56, 3.15, and 3.06, respectively. There were significant differences in perception on hospice according to gender, major, and experience of hospice-related education and in attitude toward death according to gender, major, religion, subjective health status, experience of hospice-related education. The relationship between perception on hospice and neutral acceptance showed a significant positive correlation, and fear of death and death avoidance showed a significant negative correlation. Therefore, we need consider these variables to develop a hospice or death-related education program to enhance university students' attitudes to death and their perception of hospice.
In this study, the objective masticatory efficiency of two groups of temporomandibular disorder patients, pain and sound groups, was compared with that in a normal group using the MAI (mixing ability Index). The subjective chewing ability was evaluated using questionnaires, such as the Food Intake Ability Index (FIA) and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). The Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP)-49K of the patients was also examined to measure the oral health-related quality of life. The results were as follows: 1. The MAI, FIA and VAS in the pain group were significantly lower than in the normal and sound groups. This shows that the chewing efficiency of the pain group was lower than the normal and sound groups (P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference between the sound and normal groups. 2. The OHIP-49K for the oral health-related quality of life showed a significant increase in both the pain and sound groups compared with normal group. This means that the oral health-related quality of life was lower in both the pain and sound groups. 3. There was a correlation between the MAI, FIA and VAS (P<0.01) in all subjects (71 persons). The OHIP-49K was associated with the FIA and VAS. 4. There was a correlation between the FIA and VAS (P<0.05) in the sound group but no correlation in the other groups. 5. There was a correlation between the FIA and VAS in all groups. 6. The VAS was increased significantly in the pain group according to the level of pain reduction after treatment (P<0.05). However, there was no significant increase in the MAI, even though there was an improvement in masticatory efficiency. In addition, there was no difference in the FIA and OHIP-49K according to the level of pain reduction after treatment. In this study, it is believed that pain is a main factor decreasing the masticatory efficiency in patients with temporomandibular disorders. Moreover, TMJ sounds decrease the quality of life but do not decrease the masticatory efficiency. Therefore, it is important to control the pain in order to improve the masticatory efficiency in temporomandibular disorder patients. Moreover, managing both pain and sound can improve the quality of life.
The purpose of this study is to investigate into company workers' general characteristics and their awareness or oral health examinations. Answer sheets for questionnaire for 267 industrial workers at Changwon city, Korea, were collected and analyzed using SPSS 12.0. Among workers who haven't visited a dental clinic for last one year, 75.6% of them didn't have dental caries. 74.0% of workers who haven't received dental scaling didn't have dental caries. 84.4% of workers who thought of themselves as having good oral health had good oral health and none of them had dental caries. 9.1% of people who had dental caries of 4 or more had bad breath. 73.4% of workers didn't need to treat dental caries, while scaling in 57.7% of them was required. To reform and improve of the system, incremental dental health care system for industrial workers is needed. Oral health education is needed to increase the motivation of industrial workers to control their basic disease.

This study examined the effects of the levels of depression and oral health on the quality of life in workers participating in a self-sufficiency program in the Seoul metropolitan area. As for the study method, a questionnaire survey was conducted from July 26 to September 5, 2020, targeting 569 workers participating in a self-sufficiency program. Depression, Perio-Quotient Index, self-diagnosed oral symptoms, and oral health quality of life were the survey items investigated. The results were as follows. In the workers with systemic diseases, depression, Perio-Quotient Index, oral symptoms, and oral health quality of life were all negative. The level of depression was highly negative in both Perio-Quotient Index, oral symptoms, and oral health quality of life, showing statistically significant differences. In addition, depression showed a strong negative correlation with the Perio-Quotient Index, oral symptoms, and oral health quality of life. Depression, Perio-Quotient Index, and particularly oral symptoms negatively affected oral health and the quality of life. As workers participating in a self-sufficiency program are vulnerable to oral health problems, oral health education is required for the correct awareness and management of oral health, and oral health policy improvement for socially vulnerable groups is essential to ensure continued oral health management.

Purpose : This study aimed to analyze the relationship between local residents' experience of public health education on smoking, drinking, and nutrition and their perceptions of health and happiness, thereby providing data for improving the levels of residents' perceptions of health and happiness through the expansion of public health education. Methods : This study used 2017 data on the health of local communities in Gyeongsangnam-do. SPSS (version 25.0) was employed for the statistical analysis. A t-test and an analysis of variance were conducted in order to examine the levels of local residents' perceptions of health and happiness according to their general characteristics and whether or not they had received public health education on smoking, drinking, and nutrition. Results : Those who resided in a city, were younger, earned money, had high educational background, and had high income level had much experience on smoking, drinking, and nutrition education. Those who lived in a county, were males, were younger, had a high level of education, earned money, and had high income level felt a high level of subjective happiness. Residents who had experienced smoking, drinking, and nutrition education had a high level of subjective perception of general health and oral health. The subjects' experience of public health education was positively correlated with their levels of perception of their health and happiness. Conclusion : Education on smoking, drinking, and nutrition for local residents does not merely provide them with knowledge but also it is conductive to improving their quality of life. Therefore, more opportunities for a larger number of people to receive public health education on diverse topics should be given to increase their levels of happiness.
Objectives: This study aims to identify the effect between high school students' recognition of mental health on sleep quality to present basic data for better health. Methods: The study used data obtained through the 2007 online research on adolescents' health behaviors, targeting a total of 35,228 high school students (18,628 of male students and 16,600 of female students). Results: Seventy six point ninety six percent of the male respondents and 79.67% of female respondents answered their sleep quality was not satisfactory. The subjects who had stress showed significantly lower quality of sleep than those who answered they had no stress. For female students, those who answered they had intention to suicide had significantly lower quality of sleep than those who answered they did not have, but for male students, there was no significant relations between them. There were no significant relations between sense of dispair and sleep quality both for male and female subjects. Conclusion: Factors of mental health related with sleep quality were stress and intention of suicide. The more they had stress and intention of suicide, the significantly lower sleep quality was. Therefore, in order to improve sleep quality of high school students, it is suggested that management programs based on education and counselling with experts should be provided and further studies on other mental health factors and sleep quality should be conducted.
