Precise Analysis of the Surface Oxidation Layer on Cu Powders Using FE-TEM Techniques (전계방출 투과전자현미경 분석기술을 이용한 Cu 입자 표면산화층의 정밀평가)

  • Nanosized surface structures of Cu powders were investigated at the atomic scale by field-emission transmission electron microscope techniques. The nanoscale surface oxide layer on the Cu powder was analyzed to be the $CU_2O$ phase by electron diffraction pattern and electron energy-loss spectroscopy. In addition, it was found from high-resolution transmission electron microscopy study that there are formed no surface oxide layers on the surface of alkanethiol coated Cu powders.

  • The basic properties and electrical characteristics of sputtering films deposited with a commercial cast target and Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) were compared and analyzed. From the results, the Cu film prepared heating $60^{\circ}C/min$ (SPS process) showed a similar specific resistance compared to the commercial cast Cu film. Also, auording to the results of XRD, SIMS, and TEM. There was not much difference in the crystal structure and impurities between the two films. Consequently, the SPS Cu target was found to have quite similar properties with the commercial one and it is expected to be applied in futare research to the metal wiring material for semiconductor/display devices.

  • In this paper, the new evaluation system for water quality pollution is implemented using fuzzy integral based on the conventional evaluation criterions and their evaluation factors and this is the first phase in the whole water quality pollution evaluation system development. In the final evaluation for water quality pollution the factors like BOD, COD, SS, T-N, and T-P are taken into overall accounts. It is found that the final evaluation can be represented in a linear combination of respective factor evaluation when each factor is independent one another, With respect to the combination patterns the fuzzy measurement is defined and the fuzzy integral is taken. As a result this approach shows stable and reliable evaluation for the water quality pollution evaluation system development.

  • 지식경제부의 청정제조기반 산업원천개발사업의 일환으로 진행 중인 "초고진공펌프 개발" 과제 중 제 3세부 과제인 "고진공펌프종합특성평가시스템 설계, 진단기술 개발" 과제에서 5년 동안 진행되고 있는 전반적인 연구수행결과 및 구축 완료된 종합특성평가시스템을 활용한 고진공펌프의 상용화를 위한 신뢰성 평가에 관하여 소개한다. 고진공펌프개발 총괄 과제의 대명제는 "국제적 신뢰성을 가지는 상용화 제품의 완성"이며, 10(3) mbar~10(-10) mbar 영역의 국내 진공펌프 개발 수준의 선진화를 위한 모든 특성평가장치의 국제적 신뢰성이 있는 완벽한 성능평가의 구현을 포함한다고 볼 수 있으며, 전체 사업 추진기간 동안 제품 개발 주체인 산업체에 상용화를 위한 신뢰성 기반기술의 완벽한 구현의 제공에 있다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 고진공펌프의 신뢰성 평가는 저진공펌프의 신뢰성 평가기술에 기반을 두고 있으며, 기 개발 완료된 특성평가뿐만 아니라 실질적으로 나노종합팹센터의 공정현장에서 판단할 수 있는 내구성진단 및 최종 제품의 기계적 신뢰성 진단기술의 복합적인 요인들의 집합적인 분석에 기인하고 있다고 판단할 수 있다. 상용화 단계의 내구성 및 신뢰성 확보를 위한 전제 조건은 대외적으로 공표할 수 있는 시험평가 데이터와 개발 주체에서 기밀 수준으로 유지해야만 하는 민감한 자료의 상시 생산 infra의 구축으로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 진공펌프개발이라는 과제의 대명제를 완성하기 위한 연구개발 등 최종 상용화에 필요한 국제 신뢰성, 공정대응성 확보 기술개발 등 핵심사업 추진내용을 소개하고자 한다.

Correlations Between Ultrasonographic Findings of Sternocleidomastoid Muscle and Torticollis Overall Assessment of Congenital Muscular Torticollis in Infants (선천성 근성 사경 환아의 흉쇄유돌근 초음파 소견과 사경종합평가 사이의 상관관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between ultrasonographic findings used to diagnose and assess of torticollis and a overall special assessment of congenital muscular torticollis in infants. Seventy-eight subjects with congenital muscular torticollis participated in this study. All the patients were divided into one of four clinical types according to the sternocleidomastoid muscle fibrosis noted on the ultrasonographic findings, and they were divided into one of three subgroups according to the degree of disability on the overall special assessment score of torticollis. For the ultrasonographic classifications of the 78 patients, 42(53.8%) made up the first type, 21 (26.9%) made up the second type, 7 (9.0%) made up the third type, and 8 (10.3%) made up the fourth type. Multivariate analysis of the results showed that the age at presentation was significantly different according to the ultrasonographic subtypes (p<0.01). There was significant correlation between the ultrasonographic findings and the torticollis overall assessment for patients with congenital muscular torticollis (${\phi}$=0.893, p<0.01). According to the results of this study, the use of the simple and objective torticollis overall assessment will be useful for the evaluation of torticollis in the future.

  • Land suitability assessment(LSA) is a useful method to assess land characteristics according to its physical, locational, and environmental characteristics, and then to classify it into several categories based on its usability and the necessity for conservation. Therefore, the credibility of this assessment result depends on the rationality of assessment method such as computation of suitability values and the criteria of ranking the land grade. This study focused on identifying problems in current LSA method by critically reviewing it, and aimed to suggest a suitable method for the assessment of land suitability. As a alternative method in this study, linear transformation method was used for scoring factors instead of critical values and the weight for each assessment factor. and all values of those factors were added to produce comprehensive suitability values. Those values were ordered and categorizied with suitability level based on the ratio of square measure. After comparing existing LSA method to the suggested alternative method, it is concluded that the alternative method was more suitable to assess the characteristics of lands than existing LSA method. This method was also suitable to represent the characteristics of various assessment factors. Field survey using satellite image clearly revealed the suitability of the alternative method compared to an existing method of land assessment. Furthermore, the alternative method of grading the land suitability improves the problem of using standardiZiation method and gives more flexibility, which makes this method very rational.

Evaluation of Vehicle and Pedestrian Environments using Grey System Theory (Grey System Theory를 이용한 차량 및 보행환경 통합평가)

  • In this paper, understanding there is a limitation with a comprehensive and network approach for the evaluation of existing vehicle and pedestrian environments, the authors focus on developing an integrated approach to assessing these environments. The network evaluation here means the assessment at a three-dimensional level that includes evaluation methods of lines/axes in a spatial concept as well as integration of evaluation indicators being used for vehicles and the walking environment. Grey System Theory (GST) was applied based on the theoretical background for network and comprehensive integrated evaluation, and the evaluation of the vehicle and pedestrian environment was performed by assigning target areas to walking preference zones. As a result of the comprehensive evaluation and analysis by GST, even if the service level is the same as the operating indicators (Highway Capacity Manual) of the vehicle and pedestrian environment, or relatively better, it was identified that the total score could be varied over Grey Category because the observed data are calculated after considering the weights between evaluation indicators by the range of Grey Category on the comprehensive evaluation. Considering comprehensively these points, although the indicators on the operation of roads are relatively good, in the event that the indicators on the safety of roads are bad, it was known that the scores over Grey Category also could be changed. The result is that this evaluation method can be used to evaluate the network concept per lane (per axis) as well as to diagnose the current state by type of urban street in the future.

  • The impacts influenced on the performance and safety of a repository are classified as units of Features, Events, and Processes (FEP), for the total system performance assessment (TSPA) related to the permanent disposal of HLW. The importance is evaluated in consideration of the frequency, consequence, regulation, suitability of a specific site, etc. and then these are grouped as a similar FEP. A scenario describing the migration of radionuclide from the repository to the biosphere is derived from understanding the interaction among these groups. KAERI has developed the KAERI FEP lists by review and collation of the foreign studies. The KAERI FEP list has been reviewed by several Korean experts. The five major scenarios describing possible future evolutions of the geological disposal system have been developed by RES and PID methods. Also the CYPRUS which is a KAERI integrated database management system for the total system performance assessment (TSPA) related to the permanent disposal of HLW has been developed and the results of the FEP and scenario development have been uploaded in this system.

  • 최근 세계 각 국에서는 노후된 원전의 연장운전과 관련하여 주요기기의 손상진단 또는 수명평가를 통한 지속적인 안전성 보장과 원전의 정비계획 수립, 효율적인 원전이용 등을 위하여 기기의 손상평가 및 성능감시를 수행할 수 있는 각종 감시시스템을 개발하고 있다. 국내의 경우도 발전소 가동년수 증가와 함께 안정적인 전력수급을 위해 연장운전에 대한 타당성 검토를 수행한 바 있으며, 그 후속연구도 진행될 예정으로 있어 발전소를 구성하고 있는 주요 기기의 안전성 확보와 신뢰도 향상이 요구되고 있다. 이러한 측면에서 Prototype 형태로 기기 건전성 평가에 활용할 수 있는 과도상태, 조사취화, 피로손상, 균열성장 및 부식손상 평가모듈을 개발하고, 이를 통합하여 원자력 발전소 종합 진단감시시스템을 구축하였다.
