  • This paper is to develop an integrated LAN unit (hereinafter called ILU) which connects the transformed signals from on-board equipments with the information display unit and vice versa In developing the ILU, the topology, transfer mode, and protocol was inspected considering the structure and characteristics of a related ship. The principle of development was determined type. Finally the ILU appropriate for the ship's characteristics was designed and developed.
