  • The knowledge sharing in a knowledge management process is much affecting generation and distribution of knowledge. Especially, the knowledge distribution is being revitalized with the center of social media service like twitter and library service 2.0 in the knowledge-based IT (Information Technology) environment. The present research analyzed the structure and characteristics of a social network inside an organization that is growing like an organism through self-organization through tools for SNA (Social Network Analysis) and multiple regression analysis of independent variables such as 1) a relationship between social network's structure and knowledge sharing, 2) a relationship between structural holes and knowledge sharing influence of centrality, 3) a relationship between individual ability and knowledge sharing of information technology and work recognition.

Effects of Job Stress on the Depression of Elderly Police Officers and Moderating Effects of Organizational Health (고령 경찰공무원의 직무스트레스가 우울에 미치는 영향 및 조직건강의 조절효과)

  • This study aims to examine the influence of job stress on the depression conducted with 360 police officers working at police station branch and police box in Chungbuk area, and they were divided into two sub-groups based on the age of 50 in order to analyze the buffering effect of organizational health in the relationship between job stress and depression. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the level of depression in the group older than 50 and younger than 50 were 3.22 and 2.90 respectively showing that in the group older than 50 were significantly higher. Second, the factors that influence the depression were shown to be similar for each group, but significantly different for their influence of each group. The factors that influence the depression in the group older than 50 were shown in the order of organizational structure, job stress, readership. The factors that influence the depression in the group younger than 50 were shown in the order of job stress, police officers ability, readership. Third, in the relationship between job stress and depression, buffering effects of organizational health were identified to be different in each group. Based on these results, several ways were suggested to prevent or ease the job stress and depression of police officers.

  • To improve the durability of concrete structure, we usually consider the reduction of water-cement ratio, the increase of concrete cover depth and the use of mineral admixtures. The use of admixtures make concrete more durable and tighten against water in recent papers so it is needed to study more about the relationship between the admixtures and the chloride ion diffusion. Therefore we analyzed the correlation between chloride ion diffusion and physical properties such as compressive strength, void ratio, air permeability of the concrete, and tried to use them as fundamental data for analyzing chloride ion diffusion mechanism of the concrete mixed with mineral admixtures.

A Study on the Analysis of Informational Structure of University Websites (국내 대학 웹사이트의 정보구조 분석에 관한 연구)

  • In the current information environment, the concept of a website has been transformed from the repository of information to means of accessing information which can communicate and interact with users. To function well as an accessing tool to information, the information embedded in a website should be organized in a way that users can easily understand the whole informational structure. This aspect of a website might be more important to a university's website. However, the informational structures which current university's websites adopt do not reflect their users' information needs. They construct their structure uniformly, and it causes the decrease of the websites' usability. To solve these problems, this study proposes a new and systematical way of constructing a university's website which can reflect users' information needs and ensure the usability of the websites.

The Effect of Authentic Leadership on Intention to Use Knowledge Management System through Techno-stress: Analysis of the Mediating Effect of Techno-stress and the Moderating Effect of Feedback (진성 리더십이 기술스트레스를 통해 지식관리시스템 이용의도에 미치는 영향: 기술스트레스의 매개효과 및 피드백의 조절효과 분석)

  • This study is to suggest conditions for mitigating techno-stress due to the adoption of the knowledge management system(KMS). Specifically, the study suggests that techno overload and techno complexity are negative factors on the intention to use KMS, and suggests that authentic leadership and feedback mitigate techno-stress. We conducted an online survey in May 2021 of employees in organizations that applied KMS, and obtained 417 samples. We performed the structural equation modeling of AMOS 22.0 for hypothesis testing and analyzed the main effect and the moderating effect. The result is as follows. First, techno overload and techno complexity reduced the intention to use the KMS. Second, authentic leadership increased the intention to use the KMS and mitigated techno overload and techno complexity. Third, feedback moderated the negative relationship between techno-stress and intention to use the KMS. The study has implications from the perspective of suggesting the strategic direction (authentic leadership and feedback) at the organizational level for mitigating techno-stress, which may be a problem when introducing and applying a KMS from the perspective of organization employees.

Structural Relationship between Intellectual Capital and Organizational Performance in a Customer Service Organization: Focused on the Role of Dynamic Capability (고객서비스 조직의 지적자본과 조직성과 간의 구조적 관계: 동적역량의 역할을 중심으로)

  • This study explores which organizational capital is important for the customer service center and how the organizational capital is linked to organization's performance through dynamic capability. In this study, total of 389 employees in customer service centers were surveyed for the analysis. The results indicate that relational capital and organizational culture were positively linked with collaborative behavior, capital share, and capital transformation. Also, structural capital was a significant factor in collaborative behavior. Organizational performance was positively affecting collaborative behavior and capital share. This study provides a practical guideline on how to manage organizational capital and supplement shortcomings for managers and counsellors at the customer service centers. Furthermore, the implications for the reinforcement and development of organizational capital were suggested in building a customer service center as a strategic and fundamental part of the company.

An Empirical Study on the Structural Relationships among Colleague trustworthiness, Organizational trust and Organizational citizenship behaviors (동료신뢰성, 조직신뢰, 조직시민행동 간의 구조적 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the structural relationships among colleague trustworthiness, organizational trust and organizational citizenship behaviors(OCB). To conduct such examination, the author (i) designated colleague trustworthiness, organizational trust and OCB as variables and (ii) designed a research model by conducting preceding studies on the variables. To examine the research model the author collected the survey data from the 2 universities employees, 134 copies of questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS programs. The analysis results are as follows. Especially, (1) there was no statistically significant relationship between colleague trustworthiness and OCB. (2) it was found that higher degree of integrity the constructs of colleague trustworthiness would lead to higher degree of organizational trust. (3) organizational trust has been found to exert mediating effect on the relationship between colleague trustworthiness and OCB. The implication and limitation which this study are as follows. First, this study has discovered that organizational trust is the important mediating variable that affect the process of relationship between colleague trustworthiness and OCB. This study have limitation in that was conducted based on cross-sectional design of research. Because, the formation of trust is a dynamic process.

  • 효율적이고 체계적인 정보관리를 위해 최근 연구들은 시멘틱웹(semantic web), 지식관리, 메타데이터의 통합 등에 많은 관심을 두고 있다. 그러한 연구들은 자원(resources)의 기술을 어떻게 표현할 것인가에 대한 기술구조와 그 구조를 표현하기 위한 기계 언어 등을 다루고 있다. 특히 자원의 기술을 어떻게 표현할 것인가에 대한 기술적인 구조로 가장 널리 사용되는 것은 RDF와 토픽맵(Topic Maps)을 들 수 있다. 정보조직이나 시멘틱웹 등의 연구에서 자주 등장하는 위의 개념들을 정확하게 이해하고 무엇보다 그 개념들 간의 관계를 알아보는 것이 중요할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 RDF와 토픽맵에서, 정보 즉 표현하고자 하는 대상을 표현하는 방법을 살펴보고, 두 기법간의 상호운용성에 대한 선행연구로 RDF와 토픽맵의 유사점과 차이점을 비교하고자 한다.

Existing Knowledge in the Organization and the New Product Performance (조직 내 기존지식과 신제품 성과에 관한 연구)

  • The focus of this study is to analyze the link between existing knowledge in the organization and NPD performance. After a comprehensive literature review, we identified factors influential in the management of existing knowledge, such as efficiency of information acquisition, shared interpretation, structure of organization. Through an empirical research, we found that existing knowledge was positively associated with the efficiency of information acquisition and shared interpretation. Additionally, a strong relationship was found between information acquisition efficiency and NPD. Shared information, however, was not found to be associated with NPD. This result, make us recognize the necessity to better understand some subprocesses through which existing knowledge affects new product performance.

  • This study examines the impact of knowledge management strategies and knowledge management determinants for each type of knowledge management of a company on knowledge activities, and because each company's situation and conditions are different, it is necessary to approach each knowledge management type. The analysis was conducted using the SPSS 18.0 program targeting 81 companies that have introduced knowledge management systems or knowledge management by categorizing them into technology-oriented and combined types. The result is that Initial types are based on changes in organizational structure and active adoption of information technology, and the Organizational knowledge centers use management systems (CEO support, performance compensation system, education and training system) and infrastructure building and information technology to maximize individual knowledge. The Information technology-oriented types rely more on information technology such as infrastructure building and information technology use rather than organizational knowledge. and the Combination type is understood as an educational and training system and decentralized organizational structure for the overall expansion of the organization. Through this study, effective and significant strategies, knowledge management determinants, and knowledge activities for each type were presented.
