  • In this paper the erection method of the Seohae Bridge starter is presented. The erection method of starter for cable stayed bridge was changed from conventional bracket supported erection to heavy lifting supported directly by stays. There was the need to reduce the erection time drastically. The cost saving was obtained as a bonus.

  • The heat transfer analysis is performed on unloaded solar utilization dryer, and thermal performance for a prototype model while drying red-pepper is also investigated. Results of theoretically derived thermal equations are in good agreement with experimental data. This constructed feature of the prototype demonstrates the excellent technical drying performance. Finally, this paper recommends the further work to develop advanced and economic solar utilization multi-purpose dryer.

  • Fine, spherical (Zr, SN)TiO4 powders were prepared from the aqueous solution of metal chlorides by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis. Single phase (Zr, SN)TiO4 powders could be obtained above $700^{\circ}C$ (=temperature of the reactor) and all powders exhibited sizes in the range of 0.1 to 2.0 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and a narrow size distribution. The sintering properties of the prepared powders were better than those of the powders from solid-state reaction.

  • A shelf type solar dryer of simple design has been constructed and its performance evaluated by KIER (Korea Institute of Energy and Resources). Experimental result, the rate of moisture removal of the dried sguid in dryer is higher to that obtained by conventional sun drying. Design modification are suggest to improve its performance.

  • There are two kinds of irradiation intensity deviation, depending on time and position, on illuminated plane when thermal performance of solar collector is tested by using solar simulator. In this study we measured only position deviation of irradiation intensity using 45-cds photosensors and data acqusition system and found the point of average value. By this result we can improve the accuracy of irradiation measurement in indoor test of solar collector.

  • The dielectric properties at microwave frequencies of B site complex perovskite La(Zn1/2Ti1/2)O3 which has +3 ion in A site were investigated. maximum Q*F value of the specimens was 59000 dielectric constant 34, temperature coefficient of resonant frequency -52 ppm/$^{\circ}C$. XRD pattern of the sintered specimen shows (111) ssuperlattice reflection which indicates Zn and Ti cation ordering.

  • In this paper, a realistic launching method for railway bridge is developed. When bridge is launched, it might experience the excessive deflection. Launching method with cable-stayed scheme is developed to control the deflection. The developed method was applied to the launching of an actual bridge. This study results show that bridges can be launched with favorable deflection by the proposed method.
