Three-Phase Z-Source Dynamic Voltage Restorer with a Fuel Cells Source (연료전지 전원을 갖는 3상 Z-소스 동적 전압 보상기)

  • This paper proposes a three-phase Z-source dynamic voltage restorer (Z-DVR) to mitigate the voltage sag for the critical loads. The proposed system is composed of passive filter and Z-source topology inverter. As an ESS(Energy Storage System) of the proposed system is employed the Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC). To calculate and control the harmonics and compensation voltage, $i_{d}-i_{q}$ theory in dq rotating reference frame and PI controller are used. In case that three-phase voltage sags occurred, a PSIM simulation was done for the performance comparison of the conventional method employed battery stacks and proposed method. As a result, considering the voltage compensation performance, each method was nearly similar. Also, the compensation performance and the %THD(%Total Harmonic Distortion) result under the various source voltage conditions (sag or swell) were presented and discussed to show the performance of the proposed system.

  • The field of induction motor is magnetized and demagnetized for each reversal of the current. This field component of the motor accounts for most of the reactive component of inductive load. Reactive power needs to sustain the electromagnetic field required for the induction motor to operate. Power factor of induction motor is usually low and power factor correction needs. Power factor becomes low by the effect of the reduction operation of load capacity. In most cases, Capacitor capacity for the power factor correction should be complied with the recommendation by the motor capacity. But Capacitor value for power factor correction can't change during the normal operation. In this paper, we analyzed characteristics of power and power factor changing by load fluctuation of low-voltage small size induction motor and show that lower power factor correction's parameter of existing recommendation should be revised by new value.

  • A scheme of IESFVSC(Integral Error State Feedback Variable Structure Controller) is proposed for a DC servo position control system with the disturbances which do not satisfy the matching condition. The proposed control system is composed of servo compensator and state feedback VSC. The servo compensator enhances the robustness of the control system against various types of disturbance, and makes effective tracking possible without using error dynamics. The IESFVSC is applied to the practical design of a robust DC servo control system and the control performances are verified through theoretical analyses and simulations.

  • A MVC (Multi-view Video Coding) method, which uses both an illumination change-adaptive ME (Motion Estimation)/DC (Motion Compensation) and a 2D (Dimensional) direct mode, is proposed. Firstly, a new SAD (Sum of Absolute Difference) measure for ME/MC is proposed to compensate the Luma pixel value changes for spatio-temporal motion vector prediction. Illumination change-adaptive (ICA) ME/MC uses the new SAD to improve both MV (Motion Vector) accuracy and bit saving. Secondly, The proposed 2D direct mode that can be used in inter-view prediction is an extended version of the temporal direct mode in MPEG-4 AVC. The proposed MVC method obtains approximately 0.8dB PSNR (Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio) increment compared with the MPEG-4 AVC simulcast coding.

  • 본 논문에서는 카메라의 움직임이 있는 비디오 영상에서 물체의 움직임을 검출하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 입력 영상에서 카메라의 움직임이 있을 경우, 이를 제거하기 위해 카메라의 움직임을 추정, 보상한다. 보상된 영상에서 적응적 임계값을 사용하여 물체의 움직임을 검출한다. 제안된 방법은 카메라의 움직임이 있는 비디오 영상뿐만 아니라, 시간에 따라 조명이 변하거나 잡음이 포함된 비디오 영상에 대해 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있다.

  • 본 논문은 슬라이딩 모드 제어 기법을 이용한 직류 전동기의 디지탈 속도 제어기에 관한 연구이다. 또한 연속 시스템에 적용하던 슬라이딩 모드 제어기법을 이산 시스템에 사용할 수 있도록 해석하고, 실험하였다. 슬라이딩 모드 제어기에서 발생되는 채터링(CHATTERING) 현상을 감소시키기 위해 스위칭 주파수를 높이고, 샘플링 주기를 최대한 줄였으며 제어기 출력에 필터를 도입하였다. 또한, 스위칭 지연과 외란에 대한 보상도 고려하였으며 슬라이딩 모드 제어기를 마이크로 프로세서로 구성하였다. 전력 소비를 줄이기 위해 LIMITED UNIPOLAR 모드에서 직류 전동기를 구동하였다.

  • We introduce the IP3102 which is developed by Interpion Semiconductor co. LTD. for the CFL ballaster. The IP3102 has thermal compensation function. In this paper, we present the temperature compensation design technique and its implementation in the IP3102. The experimental results is also presented in this paper.

  • 전력용 커패시터는 유도성 부하의 낮은 역률을 보상하기 위해 설치하는 경우가 많지만 전력변환장치에서 발생하는 고조파를 줄이기 위해 수동형 필터로서 리액터와 함께 사용되는 경우도 있다. 수동형 필터는 커패시터와 리액터를 직렬로 연결하여 사용한다. 이때 비선형 부하에서 발생하는 고조파를 흡수하는 역할에서 리액터가 자주 소손 또는 열화 되어 정상적인 수명을 보장받지 못하는 경우가 많다. 본 논문에서는 비선형 부하에 사용되는 있는 수동형 필터를 PWM 인버터의 다이오드 정류기 전단에 설친 운전할 경우 받을 수 있는 전기적인 스트레스를 해석하였다.

  • The AC electrified railway systems have the power quality problems such as the harmonic distortion, the reactive power and the three-phase imbalance because of the electrical load characteristics of locomotives, which are non-linear single-phase. These power quality problems have a bad effect on not only AC electrified railway systems but also other electric systems connected together. The RPQC (railway power quality conditioner) can compensate such power quality problems in the AC electrified railway systems. In this paper, a novel RPQC control method based on SRF (synchronous-reference-frame) control is proposed. The proposed RPQC control method can compensate effectively the harmonic currents, the reactive power and the load imbalance. The validity and the effectiveness of the proposed RPQC control method are illustrated through the simulations.

Dynamic Characteristics Improvement of a Step-Down Chopper Using Load Current Feed-Forward Compensator (부하전류 전향보상기를 이용한 강압쵸퍼의 동특성 항상)

  • In this paper, The author present a load current feed-forward compensator by method that improve voltage controller of Step-down Chopper to get stable output voltage to sudden change of load current. To confirm the characteristics of a presented load current feed-forward compensator compared each transfer function of whole system that load current feed-forward compensator is added with transfer function of whole system that existent voltage controller is included using Mason gains formula in Root locus and Bode diagram. As a result the pole of system is improved, extreme point of the wave and system improves, and size of peak value and phase margin of break frequency in resonance frequency confirmed that is good. Therefore, presented control technique could confirm that reduce influence by perturbation and improves stationary state and dynamic characteristics in output of Step-down Chopper.
