Optical Design of the Integrated Triplexer Fabricated by Micro Block Stacking Method (MBS 방법으로 제작한 집적형 Triplexer의 광학 설계)

  • In this paper, we have designed an integrated triplexer which is the basic component for a FTTH(Fiber To The Home) system which can transmit CATV and voice/data at the same time in a single fiber. The integrated triplexer can be fabricated with a novel technique of "Micro-Block Stacking (MBS)" method which automatically aligns the optical components in the optical beam pass using accurate ceramic holders. We analyze the displacement of the optical focus according to the tolerances of the component dimensions and the assembly process using code V simulator. For the transmitter, the most serious shift of the focal points is caused by the displacements of the LD spot. So the focal point moves up to $72{\mu}m$ from the center point for ${\pm}25{\mu}m$, ${\pm}25{\mu}m$, ${\pm}30{\mu}m$ displacements. For the receiver the most serious shift of the focal points is caused by the displacements of a 0.8mm ball lens (for the analog receiving part) and a micro ball lens (for the digital receiving part), and the focal point moves up to $55{\mu}$ for ${\pm}55{\mu}m$, ${\pm}5{\mu}m$, ${\pm}55{\mu}m$ micro ball lens displacements.

An Advanced Prediction Technology of Assembly Tolerance for Vehicle Door (차량도어 조립공차 예측기술 개발)

  • The setting of values on door hinge mounting compensation for door assembly tolerance is a constant quality issue in vehicle production. Generally, heuristic methods are used in satisfying appropriate door gap and level difference, flushness to improve quality. However, these methods are influenced by the engineer's skills and working environment and result an increasement of development costs. In order to solve these problems, the system which suggests hinge mounting compensation value using CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) analysis is proposed in this study. A structural analysis model was constructed to predict the door gap and level difference, flushness through CAE based on CAD (Computer Aided Design) data. The deformations of 6-degrees of freedom which can occur in real vehicle doors was considered using a stiffness model which utilize an analysis model. The analysis model was verified using 3D scanning of real vehicle door hinge deformation. Then, system model which applying the structural analysis model suggested the final adjustment amount of the hinge mounting to obtain the target door gap and the level difference by inputting the measured value. The proposed system was validated using the simulation and showed a reliability in vehicle hinge mounting compensation process. This study suggests the possibility of using the CAE analysis for setting values of hinge mounting compensation in actual vehicle production.

  • 미래 정보와 시대에서 중추적인 역할을 할 광관련 멀티미디어 장비들은 최근 관련 산업계에서 주목을 받기 시작하고 있고 특히 기존 VTR(Video Tape Recorder) 시장을 대체할 차세대 DVDR(Digital Video Disk Recorder)는 기술전쟁이라고 할 정도로 선진 기업의 연구가 치열해지고 있다. DVDR 시스템에서는 필요한 정보들을 레이저빔을 이용한 광학신호로 바꾸어 광디스크에 기록, 재생하는 광픽업이 절대적으로 필요하게 된다. 그런데 광픽업의 위치추종기구인 Actuator는 정확한 위치추종(.+-.1.$\mu$m 오차이내)을 할 수 있는 성능이 요구되며 서보의 특성상 20KHz 이하에서 불필요한 모우드가 가진되지 않는 정밀부품이어야 하므로 Actuator 각 부품의 동적인 특성을 명확히 규명할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 우선 Actuator 각 부품과 가동부 전체의 중량 및 진동해석을 통해 동특성을 조사하였다. 그리고 Actuator의 중요한 기본성능중 하나인 구동감도 확보여부를 검토할 필요가 있기 때문에 유한요소법 프로그램인 ANSYS를 이용하여 자기회로 부분에 대한 해석을 구하였다. 또한 가동부와 자기회로 등 하위부품을 조립하는 과정에서 발생하는 조립오차로 인해 불필요한 공진과 회전형상이 야기될 수 있으므로 동특성 및 문제점 파악을 위한 민감도 분석이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 가동부의 관성 모멘트 값과 강체에 대한 일반식을 이용한 자체 프로그램을 작성하여 조립공차를 구하였다. 이와같은 과정을 통해 구해진 설계값을 바탕으로 실제 제작된 Actuator에 대해서는 비접촉식 측정방법을 통해 동특성값을 측정하였고 이를 해석값과 상호 비교하였다.동강성행렬법(dynamic stiffness matrix method)을 이용하여 해석하고자 한다. 수준임이 입증되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로우리나라 젊고 건강한 남성에게 적합한 무게상수는 작업자군에 대하여 25.05kg, 학생군에 대하여 20.24kg 으로 나타나 이는 미국 NIOSH 안전기준과 대체로 일치함을 발견하였다.ive structures utilized in Client/server architecture for distribution and cooperative processing of application between server and client this study presents two different data management methods under the Client/server environment; one is "Remote Data Management Method" which uses file server or database server and. the other is "Distributed Data Management Method" using distributed database management system. 자동차 부품 산업에서의 정밀 기술

  • 최근 자동차가 편리성과 안전성을 추구함에 따라서 자동차 부품도 과거의 기계식 동작 방법에서 전자 제어 장치가 부착된 전자식 동작 방법으로 발전되어 가고 있는 추세입니다. 또한 연비 향상을 위하여 부품의 소형화가 급속히 추진되고 있습니다. 이러한 전자화, 소형화를 실현시키기 위해 자동차 부품에서의 정밀성이 요구되어 지고 있고, 부품 제조 측면에서는 고속화, 정확성이 요구되고 있는 실정입니다. 당사의 경우 CBS (Conventional Brake System)를 생산하다가 전자 제어 장치가 부착된 ABS (Anti-lock Brake System)의 생산을 시작할 때, 부품의 정밀도를 좌우하는 각 치수의 공차 영역이 전체적으로 CBS 대비 약 1/5 수준밖에 되지 않고, 가공 속도는 약 2 배가 빨라야 하기 때문에 생산 준비 단계에서 많은 시행 착오를 겪어야만 했습니다. 여기서 당사가 ABS를 양산하면서 겪은 경험을 토대로 기술토록 하겠습니다. 가공 기술의 경우 고속, 정밀 가공을 실현시키기 위해서 크게 4 가지 측면을 고려해야만 하며, 그 4가지는 설비, Tool Holder, Tool, Chip 측면입니다. 먼저 설비가 고정도가 되기 위해 고강성을 필요로 하는 것은 물론 가동중에 필연적으로 발생하는 열변형에 대한 대책을 수립하지 않으면 안됩니다. 이러한 열변형은 설비 설계 단계에서 대책을 수립할 수 있는 것도 있지만 주위 온도 변화에 의한 열변형처럼 사용 중에 발생되는 것은 설비 사용자가 장시간에 걸친 Data 를 확보하여 대책을 수립하지 않으면 안됩니다. 또한 Tool Holder의 정도도 일반적으로 사용하는 것보다는 고정도의 것이 요구되어지므로 Tool Holder Maker 에 반드시 요구 정도를 명기하여 주문하여야 합니다. Tool도 고속화를 실현시키기 위해 고정도의 다이아몬드 공구가 필요하였고 이를 국내에서 개발하기 위해 많은 시행 착오를 겪어야만 했습니다. 또한 Chip 배출이 고정도의 필수 고려 항목으로서 당사에서는 경우에 따라 여러 가지의 방법을 사용하고 있습니다. 조립 기술의 경우 스테인레스 박판을 열변형을 최소로 하면서 용접을 하기 위해서 레이저 용접을 도입하였고, 부품을 압입하면서 정확하고 정밀한 치수 셋팅을 위하여 서버 모타를 이용한 압입 방법을 사용하였습니다.

A Study on the Quality Deviation of Passenger Cars using the Robust Design (강건 설계 기법을 이용한 승용차의 품질 산포에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes the development process of body and full vehicle for reduced idle vibration through the data level of frequency and sensitivity. The vibration mode map is used to separate body structure modes from resonance of engine idle nm and steering system. This paper describes the analysis approach process to reduce the variation of uncertainties for idle vibration performance at initial design stage. The robust design method is performed to increase the stabilization performance under vehicle vibration. It is used to predict the effects of the stiffness deviation according to the spot welding condition of the body structure. The tolerance associated with hood over slam bumper is analyzed for the quality deviation of the moving system in full vehicle. And the glass sealant stiffness and weight difference is considered for the deviation characteristic. The design guideline is suggested considering sensitivity about body and full vehicle by using mother car at initial design stage. It makes possible to design the good NVH performance and save vehicles to be used in tests. These improvements can lead to shortening the time needed to develop better vehicles.

Statistical Analysis of Focus Adjustment Method for a Floating Imaging System with Symmetric Error Factors (대칭형 공차를 갖는 플로팅 광학계의 상면 변화 보정 방법에 대한 통계적 해석)

  • A floating optical system is a system that moves more than 2 groups to focus at the camera lens. At the camera optics, the floating system that is mainly used is an optical system such as a macro lens which changes magnification very much. When the floating system is assembled and fabricated in the factory, there are differences between the image plane of the sensor and the focal plane of the infinity or macro state. Therefore, in a considerable proportion of cases, the focus adjustment to minimize the difference of BWD(Back Working Distance) is carried out in the process of manufacturing. In this paper, in order to decide the movement of each group in a floating system, we evaluated the rotation angle of CAM for the focus adjustment. We know that the maximum magnification of macro state is corrected by this numerical method for the focus adjustment, too. We investigated the limit of CAM rotation angle of the system by using statistical analysis for CAM rotation angle, which uses the focus adjustment of the floating system with symmetric error factors.

  • The performance of fault diagnostics for a planetary gearbox depends on vibration modulation characteristics, which can vary with manufacturing & assembly tolerance, and load condition. In this paper, a fault diagnostics technique that considers vibration modulation characteristics is proposed for the effective fault detection of planetary gearboxes in wind turbines. For identifying the vibration modulation characteristics in practice, re-sampled vibration signals are processed with narrow band-pass filters. Thereafter, the optimal position of the vibration extraction window is identified for effective detection of faulty signals under the varying vibration modulation characteristics. The proposed diagnostics technique makes it possible to perform robust diagnostics of the planetary gearbox with regard to the changeable vibration modulation effect. For demonstrating the proposed fault diagnostics technique, a 2-kW WT testbed is designed with two DC motors and gearboxes. A faulty gear with partial tooth breakage is machined and assembled into the gearbox.

  • In order to realize a 3-D stereoscopic display module with alternating illumination angles, several conditions required for a lenticular lens sheet were established, and then both the lens specification and the module structure were designed. Also the performance of the stereoscopic module and its tolerance characteristics were evaluated by simulating the intensity distribution on the observation plane with a finite-ray tracing technique. From the evaluation, it was known that an intersection area between two adjacent lenses should not be filled and that the lateral mismatch between a planar liquid crystal shutter and a lens sheet should be minimized.

  • A catadioptric omnidirectional zoom optical system using a hybrid lens (COZOSH) that performs simultaneously two functions of a lens and a mirror was designed at the visible wavelength range for daytime unmanned surveillance, and its performance was analyzed. The hybrid lens has lots of advantages in terms of fabrication and assembly of a COZOSH, because of the obviation of a lens boring process and reduction of the number of optical components. Additionally, we designed the COZOSH to expand the compressed inner-image region of a donut image at low spatial frequencies. As a result, the optimized design performance of the optical system that satisfies all initial design specifications was obtained from calculation of the modulation transfer function, spot diagram, and tolerance analysis. We confirmed that the COZOSH is a passively athermalized optical system under conditions of temperature variation from -30℃ to 50℃, by using athermalization analysis during zooming.

Analysis of the Warm Shrink Fitting Process for Assembling the Part(Shaft and Output Gear) (단품(축/OUTPUT 기어)조립을 위한 온간압입공정 해석)

  • Fitting process carried out in the automobile transmission assembly line is classified into three classes; heat fitting, press fitting, and their combined fitting. Heat fitting is a method that heats gear to a suitable range under the tempering temperature and squeezes it toward the outer diameter of shaft. Its stress depends on the yield strength of gear. Press fitting is a method that generally squeezes gear toward that of shaft at room temperature by a press. Another method heats warmly gear and safely squeezes it toward that of shaft. Warm shrink fitting process for the automobile transmission part is now gradually increased, but the parts (shaft/gear) assembled by this process produced dimensional changes in both the outer diameter and profile of the gear. So that it may cause noise and vibration between gears. In order to solve these problems, we need an analysis of warm shrink fitting process, in which design parameters are involved; contact pressure according to fitting interference between outer diameter of shaft and inner diameter of gear, fitting temperature, and profile tolerance of gear. In this study, an closed form equation to predict contact pressure and fitting load was proposed in order to develop an optimization technique of the warm shrink fitting process and verified its reliability through the experimental results measured in the field and FEM, that is, thermal-structural coupled field analysis. Actual loads measured in the field was in good agreements with the results obtained by the theoretical and finite element analysis.
