A new semiparametric estimator of a dichotomous choice contingent valuation model is proposed by adapting the well-known density weighted average derivative of the regression function. A small sample behavior of the estimator is demonstrated very briefly by a simulation and the estimator is applied to estimate the WTP for preserving the Dong River area in Korea.

본 글에서는 최근 기술가치평가에 적용되고 있는 조건부가치평가법(Contingent Valuation Method) 다속성효용평가법(Multi-attribute Utility Assessment) 그리고 조건부청구권가치평가법(Real Option Pricing Method)의 세가지 가치측정기법들의 특징과 조요 관련 문헌들을 간략하게 정리하여 소개함으로서 관심있는 연구자들에게 유용한 정보를 제공하고자 한다. 소개하는 방법론들은 환경재화의 가치측정기법과 위험도가 높은 에너지프로젝트의 가치평가기법으로 개발된 기법들로서 신기술이 가지는 특징인 외부성 등의 비시장재적 특성과 높은 위험도에따른 투자가치를 반영할 수있어 기술 및 기업의 가치평가 사례연구에 응용할 수있다.

정보에 대한 정량적 평가방법으로 조건부 가치평가방법을 응용하여 정량화 하였다. 조건부 가치평가 법은 간단히 말해 직접적으로 사람들에게 비시장 재화에 대해 어느 정도 지불의사가 있는가를 설문지를 통해 사용자들에게 직접 묻는 것이다. 기존의 가치평가 법은 해당 정보 재화와 유사한 재화의 시장수요를 추정하여 평가하는 간접적 가치 평가법이 널리 사용되어 왔다. 그러나 정보는 유사한 재화의 명확한 정의가 곤란하므로 이러한 요인들을 고려하여 설문조사를 통한 정보의 가치평가 방법을 선택하여 정보제공 웹 사이트의 경영성과를 측정하였다.

Recently, there have been a lot of studies for the value for wetlands with increased interest about wetlands. However, the value assessment for wetlands was usually conducted for natural wetlands only, without consideration for Dam-wetlands. In this study, we assumed that a dam carried out a function of wetlands and defined such dams as Dam-wetlands. Contingent Valuation Method(CVM) was used in value assessment method. Study area of this study is Yongdam-dam. We performed questionnaire survey in six metropolitan cities for the value assessment of Dam-wetland. As a result, the total values of a Yongdam-dam is estimated as 4.2 billion-won for construction scenario of wetland ecological park.

This paper proposes a new answering mechanism called RAM (Risk Answering Mechanism) which can be applied to a contingent valuation method. The RAM is derived from the theory of expected utility maximization under the assumption that there exists an uncertainty in a nonmarket good of interest. In RAM, a respondent would accept an uncertain offer only if his or her WTP for the mean of the offer is large enough to exceed the bidding price by more than a risk premium. This is in a striking contrast with a traditional answering mechanism (TAM) in which the WTP is simply compared with the bidding price. Therefore, the TAM would underestimate the WTP by a risk premium without considering the uncertainty a respondent may face. An empirical comparison is made between RAM and TAM using a survey data on the Tong river. It is found that underestimation problem is very serious in the TAM.

In this paper, we have tried to evaluate the economic value of technological information. Toward this aim, we have adopted the newly emerging method of contingent valuation which capitalizes on the direct survey through users. The estimated result indicates the strong support for the public activities to provide and diffuse technological information. We also tried to shed light on the implications of the research finding for government technology policy.

자연형 하천은 사용가치 뿐만 아니라 비사용적 가치를 포함하고 있기 때문에 비용편익분석에 비사용적 가치를 포함시켜야 한다. 그러지 못할 경우, 자연형 하천이 경제적 편익을 제공함에도 불구하고 경제적으로 타당성이 없는 것으로 판단될 수 있다. 본 연구는 자연형 하천의 경제적 편익을 분석하기 위하여 조건부가치평가법(CVM)을 이용하여 자연형 하천으로 조성된 전라북도 순창에 위치한 경천에 대하여 경제적 편익을 분석하였다. 연구방법은 가상적인 상황을 설정하고 여러 조건을 달아 자연형 하천에 대해 어느 정도 지불할 의사가 있는지를 설문을 통하여 분석하였다. 설문은 기본적인 속성과 환경용수, 생태계, 하천유지, 수질개선으로 구분하였고 순창읍 주민들을 대상으로 하였다. 자연형 하천으로 정비된 경천에 대해 경제적 편익을 분석한 결과 년간 약 11억원의 편익이 발생하는 것으로 추정되었다. 이와같은 결과를 이용하면 자연 친화적인 하천 정비사업을 시행할 때 합리적인 경제적 편익을 평가할 수 있으므로 사업의 타당성 평가에 이용할 수 있다.

This study aimed to assess the economic value of the UX design and applied contingent valuation method (CVM) to the three smartphone screen unlock interface types: touch, fingerprint, and iris recognition. The contingent valuation method was chosen from various economic valuation approaches because the interface components such as the screen unlock are important user experience values but non-market goods which are not traded independently. Using the double-bounded dichotomous choice approach of the contingent valuation method, the survey results of the logit model showed that the economic value of touch unlock interface was 529 won, fingerprint was 4,214 won, and iris recognition was 1,316 won. That is, the fingerprint interface had the highest economic value, followed by iris recognition and touch interface. The main contribution of this research is that we examined a method for economic valuation of the UX design and generated systematic and credible results.

수자원사업에 따른 수질개선편익은 사업으로 인해 저감되는 오염원의 양을 예측하고, 그에 따른 수질개선효과를 계량화한 값이며, 이는 곧 해당사업의 가치로써 정의된다. 이러한 수질개선편익을 산정하기 위한 방법에는 개인의 지불의사를 추정하여 가치를 추정하는 조건부가치측정법(CVM)과 해당 사업에 따른 효과를 기술적 방식으로 대체할 때 소요되는 비용을 시행사업의 가치로 평가하는 방식인 대체비용법을 들 수 있다. 현재 조건부가치측정법은 다양한 분야의 사업에 대한 가치추정법으로 널리 쓰이고 있으나, 해당사업의 가치에 대한 공학적이고 직관적인 해답을 줄 수 있는 대체비용법의 적용성은 아직까지 미미한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 수질개선편익을 중심으로 대체비용법의 분석절차와 적용성을 확인하고자 하였고, 이에 대한 사례연구로서 댐증고사업을 대상으로 하였다. 수질개선편익과 같이 환경적 질을 높이는 사업은 대상사업의 가치를 추정하는 데 많은 어려움이 있으며, 기존에 주로 사용된 조건부가치측정법과 더불어 대체비용법을 이용한 검토는 보다 객관적인 의사결정을 지원하는 데 도움을 줄 것으로 판단된다.

The development of information technology provides us with more useful information but it arose to protect such information from inappropriate users. In the course of analyzing and managing the risks associated with information, it should be needed to accurately measure the value of information. We try to consider the contingent valuation method for this purpose. The contingent valuation method which is used to assess the value of public goods or nonmarket goods makes an statistical estimation for the willingness-to-pay. We show with an example how we can estimate the value of information by calculating the amount we are willing to pay the value of information that exists on the information system. Calculation is carried out by using R.
