In this proposed model, we can see 'K-POP' preference had a positive effect on participation intention of Korean culture event, but it was not significant for purchase intention of common products. The participation in Korean culture event had significant effects on the purchase intention of Korean culture products and the purchase intention of common products. However, the purchase intention of Korean culture products had no significant effects on the purchase intention of common products. Thus, our finding showed that higher preference of 'K-POP' did not make cause purchase intention of common products. As a result, there was no difference in design sensitivity between luxury and non-luxury brand product, but the effect of design sensitivity on purchase intention was found different between luxury and non-luxury brand. It shows that for luxury brand, the people with high design pursuit of the brand have high purchase intention while for non-luxury brand, the people with high design value of the brand have high purchase intention. It indicates that for luxury brands, consumers already recognize the value of its design, which does not affect the purchase intention. For non-luxury brands, it would be important to let consumers recognize their design value.

  • Recent studies validate the idea that consumer judgment of products can affect consumer purchase intentions. Consumers judge products based on product quality, after sales satisfaction, and other visible values, but consumers also judge products on country-of-origin image, brand image and such intangible values. In this paper, we will examine consumer ethnocentrism and animosity, which are frequently responsible for country-of-origin prejudices, because the offending (i.e. exporting) nation has engaged in economic, political, or even military activities that the consumer finds difficult to forgive. The results of the study show a positive effect of product judgment on consumer purchase intentions, but consumer ethnocentrism and animosity negatively affect product judgment and consumer purchase intentions of foreign products. In the Chinese market, ethnocentric Chinese consumers have negative perceptions of foreign products with negative intentions to buy them. Chinese consumers have strong animosity for Japanese products, which negatively affect product judgments and purchase intentions to buy; therefore, Japanese corporations should increase cooperation with Chinese corporations. Conversely, for Korean companies, product judgment primarily affects consumers' intentions to buy; consequently, Korean companies should improve their product quality, after-sales satisfaction, brand image and other tangible aspects to improve consumer judgment.

  • This study aims to find out the relationship between purchase intention of fashion products and affecting factors. Measurement was not on the general Web environment but on the individual websites. It was modeled that the likeness of shopping malls affects purchase intention. Flow, which Csikszentmihalyi(1990) introduced as the state of optimal experience, was to affect purchase intention through the likeness of shopping malls. In addition, characteristics of fashion products were to affect purchase intention. A structural equation modeling was used for estimation. The result shows that the likeness of shopping malls affect purchase intention more than characteristics of fashion products. The difference from other studies is that the sign of Skills on Flow is negative. The effect of Flow on purchase intention is the largest and the next is the characteristics of the shopping malls. These results imply that internet shopping malls have to increase the likeness of shopping malls in addition to interests of the products. In addition, fashion consciousness was tested as a moderator by dividing the subjects into two groups of high and low fashion consciousness. The result shows that fashion consciousness works as a moderator for the variables affecting purchase intention.

  • This paper analyzed the impact of nation and celebrity reputation on purchase intention in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan people aged 10 to 30 years were surveyed. The study proved that the national reputation has positive impacts on the purchase intention of Korean products. However, the Korean celebrity reputation has not statistically affected the intention of purchasing Korean products. In other words, it confirmed that the country of origin effect of Korea is affecting purchases of products from the countries concerned. Therefore, based on the country's reputation for Korea in Kazakhstan, it is believed that the promotion activities of Korean products will encourage consumers to make purchases.
