Experimental Study on Structural Performance of Steel Slit Damper According to Restrained Out-of-plane Deformation (면외변형 구속에 따른 강재슬릿댐퍼의 구조성능에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, a supplementary detail capable of restraining out-of-plane deformation was proposed for steel slit dampers, and a constant amplitude cyclic loading test was performed with the application of the proposed detail and the shape ratio of the damper as variables. Repeated hysteresis and cumulative plastic deformation according to the test results were analyzed. Repeated hysteresis of the slit damper with the proposed detail showed a stable spindle-shaped hysteresis within the set variable range, and no out-of-plane deformation of the damper was observed until ultimate state. It was confirmed that the restraining panel effect through the application of the proposed details is effective in terms of both the strength and deformation capacity of the damper. In addition, experimental parameters for the fatigue curve evaluation of slit dampers were derived in this study. Based on the results, it is judged that quantitative comparison of structural performance with various types of seismic devices will be possible in the future.

  • 최근의 반도체/display 관련 생산장비 및 검사장비들이 대형화/고속화 되어감에 따라 과거 stepping 방식에서 scanning 방식으로 전환된 장비들이 공정 상에 발생하는 과도응답 형태의 진동으로 인하여 제품 수율의 저하와 생산 효율의 감소를 가져오고 있다. 이러한 과도응답의 진동은 장비 자체의 가진력으로부터 발생하므로 건물 구조의 동강성 증대 방안이나 고효율의 방진 시스템 적용으로는 한계를 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 smart 재료인 MR유체를 이용한 MR damper를 이용하여 방진효율을 유지하면서 과도응답의 진동을 제어하기 위한 반 능동제어 방식의 방진/제진 시스템을 구성하였으며, 시스템 해석과 제어 시스템의 구성을 위하여 6자유도 강체 진동에 대한 운동방정식을 고려하였다.

  • It is reported that the heavy weight floor impact noise of a slab system is very sensitive to the location of microphone and impact load. In addition, it is known that the aspect raio, thickness and boundary condition of a slab also have great effect on the noise induced by impact load. However, the effect has been mainly evaluated by experimental test and numerical analysis is nearly performed to verify the effect quantitatively. In this study, the effect of the aspect ratio, thickness and boundary condition on the heavy weight floor impact noise is examined through numerical analysis for simple rectangular slab system. The results show that the thickness and boundary condition have a strong correlation with the noise of the slab, on the contrary, the aspect ratio has little relation with the noise.

  • 본 연구에서는, 제철 열간 압연기에서 slab가 진입, 추출시 충격으로 인한 진 동에 의해 두께 조절용 위치센서가 오작동을 하는 원인을 규명하고 그 해결 책을 제시하고자, 기존 AGC Top Plate와 위치 감지센서의 작동 상태 및 진 동특성을 검정하였고, 문제점을 발견하여 각각의 구조를 개선, 재측정하여 개선정도를 확인하였다. Disk형 AGC Top Plate는 직경을 줄이고, 두께를 늘 여 자체 진동을 감소시켜, Plate 진동에 의한 위치센서의 오작동 원인 및 이 에 의해 제어 유압펌프에 Feedback되어 top부 제어계에 발생하는 Hunting현 상을 줄였다. 위치센서는 내부 Spring의 초기변형량을 증가시켜 내탄성에너 지량을 증가시켜, 센서자체의 진동 및 측정시 나타나는 여진현상을 제거하였 다. 본 연구를 통한 측정결과로는 최대 82.7%의 제진효과와 여진현상의 제거 효과를 보았다.

  • Various control algorithms are available to suppress the vibration of a system subjected to disturbances. LQ algorithm is simple and easy to implement the hardwares, but it lacks robustness for uncertainties and often causes difficulty in determining the weighting matrices. This study focuses on the effectiveness ILQ(Inverse Linear Quadratic optimal control) algorithm as the alternative to LQ applied to control the vibration of a building under the seismic excitation. The building is of moment resisting steel frames and assumed to behave within the elastic range. The brief overview of LQ and ILQ algorithms is introduced, and the displacement responses of the structure using ILQ algorithm are compared with those obtained from LQ control. The magnitude of control forces are also determined and compared for both LQ and ILQ algorithm.

  • 케이블 교량에서 발생하는 사장케이블의 진동현상에 대한 현상학적 특성을 명확히 이해해야, 사장케이블의 적합한 제진설계가 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 유체의 흐름과 구조물의 진동을 동적으로 연계하여 해석하기 위하여, ADINA의 CFD 및 Structure 코드를 동적으로 연계하는 FSI(Fluid Flow with Structure Interaction) 기법을 이용하였다. 바람으로 인해 이중원형실린더의 풍상측과 풍하측 실린더에서는 와류가 방출되면서 외력이 작용하게 되며, 이러한 공기력은 풍하측 실린더의 고유진동 운동과 함께 와류진동현상을 유발한다. 본 연구에서는 풍하측 실린더의 와류진동 현상의 해석에 주안점을 두었다. 본 연구에서는 흐름의 레이놀즈수와 이중원형실린더에 대한 바람의 입사각을 변화시키며 풍하측 실린더에서 발생하는 와류진동의 크기를 분석하였다. 본 연구결과, 유입풍속 및 바람의 입사각에 따라 이중원형실린더에서 발생하는 일반적인 와류방출현상과 풍하측 실린더에 작용하는 공기력 및 변위양상을 예측할 수 있었다. 특히, 바람의 입사각이 $15^{\circ}$인 경우에는 풍하측 실린더에서 방출되는 와류로 인해 풍하측 실린더에는 비대칭의 공기력이 작용하며, 이는 풍하측 실린더가 2사분면에서 4사분면 방향으로 진동하는 원인이 되는 것으로 판단된다.

  • Damping materials encompass a broad range of materials, including, but not limits to, pressure sensitive adhesives, epoxies, rubbers, foams, thermoplastics, enamels and mastics. Their common characteristic is that their modulus is represented by a complex quantity, possessing both a stored and dissipative energy component. Loss factor of damping material analyzed more than 2 times than rubber to 1.5 $\sim$ 2.3, could know that Damping layer has excellent attenuation performance in side of vibration reduction. Measurements of vibration using accelerometers by adhesion of Damping layer, square Plate by Separation of Damping layer is less binding of Damping layer, analyzed low loss factor and Natural Frequency by free Vibration of Square Plate.

  • A large capacity hybrid-type linear motor damper was designed and fabricated for the application to the vibration control of a large building structure model. It has been designed to be able to move the damper mass, 1,500kg up to $\pm$ 250mm strokes at the first mode natural frequency of the building structure model, 0.51Hz. Dynamic response characteristics of the fabricated damper were investigated by experimentally and analytically.

  • Experimental studies using tuned liquid damper(TLD) and multiple tuned liquid damper(MTLD), which are passive control devices consisting of a rigid tank filed with liquid, are used to suppress vibration of structures. This TLD and MTLD are attributable to several potential advantage -low costs, easy; easy to install in existing structures: effective even for small amplitude vibrations. For this, we conducted shaking table experiments for two natural frequencies (0.44Hz, 0.55Hz) according to the excitation amplitude(1mm, 3mm, 5mm, 10mm, 20mm) So, the majority of studies suggested optimized natural frequence and excitation amplitude for control devices.(TLD and MTLD type : circle, rectangular) As the analysis result, we verified vibration reduction effects of a MTLD by analyzing the performance experiment of TLD and MTLD

  • The purpose of this study is to propose damper system which is easy to design, which can ensure against risks, and to verify earthquake response characteristics. For this study, the pseudo dynamic earthquake response tests carried out for steel frames with metallic damper. As a result, in case of using the metallic damper as a vibration control device proposed by this study, the damper having higher stiffness than main-structure turned to the state of plasticity by little displacement has been proved to be able to absorb earthquake energy.
