  • 2014년 제지업계 신년인사회가 지난 1월 9일 신라호델 영빈관에서 신학용 민주당 국회의원(교육문화체육관광위원장), 정우택 새누리당 국회의원, 최태현 산업통상자원부 소재부품산업정책관, 김남수 대한인쇄문화협회 회장 등의 유관기관 대표를 비롯한 120여명의 관계자가 참석한 가운데 개최됐다.

  • 1. 서론 : 제지산업은 용수 다소비용 산업으로, 생산하는 제품 톤당 약 40톤으로 폐수가 배출되고 있으며 공정내로 재활용하는 폐수량을 고려한다면 그 사용량은 더욱 클 것이다. 이와 같은 다량의 용수 사용으로 인하여 제지 공장의 폐수를 제조공정에서 재활용하는 방법이나 배출량을 감소시키는 방안들이 법률적이나 경제적인 측면에서 연구되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 응집, 침전공정을 대신하고 여재를 이용힌 물리적 여과와 활성높은 미생물이 여재 표면에 부착되어 수중 유기물질을 생물학적으로 분해 제거하는 이중의 효과를 거둘 수 있는 호기성 생물막 공정을 도입하고 그 처리수의 유기물 및 용존 무기물을 Membrane 공정으로 제거함으로써 제지공업폐수를 재활용하여 용수기준까지 처리하 System의 개발을 그 목적으로 하였다.

  • The review is to introduce newly developed papermaking additives that has been applied to obtain a optimized papermaking production processes through paper quality and productivity improvements in recent years and near future. Not only the introduction of newly developed papermaking additives, but also the discussion on their application principles, methods, controls, inspections, and future development direction has been presented in the paper. The development of papermaking technology has focused on papermaking productivity, paper quality, and production effectiveness improvement through the optimization of the already developed technologies. It is thus concluded that even if noticeable innovative changes has not been in an area of papermaking additives, the development of several important papermaking additives in a technical aspect has been reported and improved the control and management of the papermaking system based on the development.

  • This study aims to review the standard operation status on wood, pulp and paper industry in Korea according to the industry standardization law which has been revised for strengthening expertise of relevant department and to propose a management strategy of Korean Standards (KS) in figure. Korea Forest Service (KFS) is the responsible department of managing KS on the wood, pulp and paper industry from 2015, and currently opertates three expert committees (wood and wooden construction, wood-based materials, pulp and paper) and wood and paper industry council to review 426 standards. To support an improvement of technical competency and securement of marketability of Korean wood industry, it is about time to review the standards and to develop practical standards since it is managed by specialized department. For this purpose, it is necessary to establish a systematic approach on the management of KS, based on thorough analysis of current KS. To remove possible technical barrier on trade due to the differences of standards between countries, the conformity with international standards is necessary. Also, for sustainability of standard management system, training specialists and building their capability is essential.

Growth Responses of Tomato and Cucumber Plug-seedlings Grown for the Paper-sludge Substrates (제지슬러지를 이용한 인공상토가 토마토와 오이 플러그묘의 생육에 미치는 영향)

  • The present study was performed to identify the possibility of the disused paper-sludge to substitute an substrate for nursery plants. Tosilee substrate as control, paper-sludge and tosilee substrate (1:1, v:v), and paper sludge substate were used in this experiment. After harvesting tomato seedlings, there were no significant differences in growth parameters such as plant height, root length, and fresh and dry weight grown for tosilee substrate, and paper-sludge and tosilee mixture substrate. However, the seedlings grown for paper-sludge substrate alone were extremely depressed. These growth pattern was followed by cucumber seedlings. As the result of this experiment, we suggest that it must need to stabilize the pH and EC, and Zn concentration in paper-sludge for increasing its material for substrate.

  • 최근 5개월 사이 3차례에 걸쳐 단행된 인쇄용지 가격 인상에 대한 인쇄인들의 불만이 고조되고 있다. 이에 따라 대한인쇄정보산업협동조합연합회(회장 고수곤)는 지난 3월 18일 전국 14개 인쇄단체 단체장 공동명의로 인쇄용지 가격인상 철회 협조 요청에 관한 건의서를 한솔제지, 무림페이퍼, 한국제지 등 인쇄용지 3대 제조사에 전달했다.

A Study on the Application of Paper Fly Ash as Stabilization/Hardening Agent (지반개량재로서 제지회의 활용에 관한 연구)

  • Examined a practical use possibility of paper fly ash that is industrial by-product as a stabilization/hardening agent. Performed unconfined compression test, scanning electron microscopy and pH analysis etc. for 100% paper fly ash-soil mixtures and each paper fly ash-soil mixtures that add cement as the second addition and sulfate component of small quantity for strength promotion and so on. In all cases, strength of admixtures increased according as curing time and mixing ratio increases but almost strength is revealed at mixing early and expressed maximum strength increase efficiency at mixing ratio 9% with raw soil. Compare with the case that use paper fly ash only, in case of cement amount 10~30% was included in paper fly ash, strength of admixtures increases two times and 40% was included, that increases from five to eight times.

  • 반월공단의 한복판에 자리잡고 있는 신흥규산(주)은 기능성 미분말 실리카의 제조기술 개발에 성공, 상용화작업을 진행하고 있다. 미분말 실리카는 규산소다를 원료로 하여 생산한 2차 제품으로 석유화학과 도료 잉크산업, 제지산업 등에서 특정한 기능을 살리기 위해 첨가되는 소재이다. 62년 설립된 신흥규산(주)은 65명의 가족을 거느린 중소기업으로 올해는 미분말 실리카와 크로마토그래피용 무기소재를, 내년엔 제지보류 향상용 마이크로실리카겔을 일본을 비롯한 아시아 전역에 수출할 계획을 세우고 있다.

  • Paper manufacturing industries have huge facilities with automatic equipments. Especially, in order to improve the efficiency of the paper manufacturing processes, it is necessary to detect the paper cutting defect effectively and to classify the causes correctly. In this paper, we review the problems of web monitoring system and web inspection system that have been traditionally used in industries for defect detection. Then we propose a novel paper cutting defect detection method based on the local binary pattern analysis and its implementation to mitigate the practical problems in industry environment. The proposed algorithm classifies the defects into edge-type and region-type and then it is shown that the proposed system works stably on the real paper cutting defect detection system.
