The service industry has become very important for almost every country. The same goes for Korea, as its service industry accounts for more than 60 percent of GDP. However, it is true that the competitiveness of Korea's service industry is very low compared to that of major developed countries. It is particularly true for knowledge-intensive service sectors. In this reason, Korea needs to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic service sectors. There have been many studies on service innovation models. 1his paper tries to explore how to enhance the competitiveness of Korean service industry. It argues that the science and technology will play an essential role in strengthening the competitiveness of many service sectors and technology and innovation management will be very important also for them. Therefore, based on the review on existinf models, this paper suggests a "Model of Strategic Services Innovation Management" which is composed of strategic intent, technological innovation, and organizational innovation. Based on this model this paper analyzes two cases: Wal-Mart and Incheon International Airport Co. According to our analyzes, both companies have enhanced their competitiveness significantly based on technological and organizational innovations, which have been initiated at corporate leveL Therefore, the Korean service industry should actively adopt the Strategic Services Innovation Management Model in order to enhance its competitiveness and productivity.

현재 OECD 국가의 산업구조 변화가 제조업에서 서비스 산업으로 가속화됨에 따라, 서비스 산업의 비중이 70%에 근접하고 있다. 서비스 사이언스란 서비스 산업의 본질을 규명하고, 서비스 수준을 혁신하여 서비스경영, 서비스마케팅, 서비스공학 등의 지식을 포괄하여 관련분야를 발전시키는 최신 학문이다. SOA(서비스지향 아키텍쳐)는 서비스 사이언스의 기반 기술로써 마르게 자리를 잡아가고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SOA에 기반을 둔 travel agency 시스템의 prototype 설계를 통해 SOA가 서비스 산업에 활용될 수 있는 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

본 고에서는 제조업 혁신을 위한 국가 정책적 대응이 진행 중에 있어 스마트 공장에 대한 국제 및 국내 표준화 동향을 소개하도록 한다. 스마트 공장에 관련된 핵심 용어들이 의미 정의가 되지 않은 채 쓰이고 있기에 혼동을 주고 있어 현황에 대해서도 설명하도록 하고, 스마트 공장에 대해 ISO와 IEC에 진행되고 있는 국제 표준화 현황과 국가기술표준원과 TTA를 통해 진행되고 있는 국내 표준화 현황도 함께 소개하도록 한다.

2006년에는 특히 혁신을 통한 산업구조 고도화정책을 추진예정인 중국은 외자기업의 모회사와 자회사간 이전가격조사, 인민폐 외채 관리 강화를 통해 외자기업에 대한 관리를 전반적으로 강화하고 기존의 제조업 중심의 외자유입 체제를 서비스산업으로 확대해 나갈 방침이다. 중국 현지의 한국기업들은 중국정부의 정책변화에 부응하여 기존의 수출지향형 생산구조를 내수시장 진출형으로 전환하는 것이 바람직하며, 중국의 수출구조 고도화에 대응하기 위해 대중 수출제품의 첨단화를 추진해야 한다.

본고에서는 최근 전 세계적인 화두로 떠오르고 있는 '제 4차 산업혁명'에 대해 살펴보고, 우리나라가 타국가 대비 경쟁우위에 있는 최첨단의 정보통신기술(ICT)을 활용하여 제조업 혁신을 선도하기 위한 방안에 대해 알아본다. 특히 국가 경제에 커다란 비중을 차지하고 있는 제조분야의 새로운 패러다임에 대응하고 선진국형 제조 산업 육성을 위해 CPS(Cyber-Physical Systems, 사물지능제어(事物知能制御)시스템)기술에 기반한 스마트팩토리 구현 기술을 제시하고자 한다.

본 연구에서는 기술표준원이 (주)코리아데이터네트워크에 의뢰하여 작성된 설문조사결과를 활용하여 기업의 표준화활동 결정요인을 분석하였다. 표준화활동을 유형(혹은 범주)에 따라 기업의 전사적 표준경영, 국내표준화활동, 국제표준화활동, 인증획득 등으로 구분하였고, 그 결정요인으로 기술혁신활동(R&D와 특허출원), 기업규모, 수출, 네트워크, 기업조직특성, 산업별 특성 등을 고려하였다. 분석된 표본은 제조업에 속한 636개 기업으로 정성적 분석방법인 로지스틱 회귀모형 (logistic regression)을 사용하였다. 분석결과, 첫째 기술혁신활동 변수 중 R&D집약도는 국제표준화활동을 제외하고 표준화활동에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 특허출원은 전사적 차원에서의 표준경영과 인증획득활동에 대해 정 (+)의 유의한 효과를 보여 주었다. 셋째, 소기업과 대기업보다는 중간규모의 기업에서 전사적 차원에서의 표준경영과 인증획득활동이 활발하다는 역U자 가설이 성립하는 것으로 분석되었다. 넷째, 표준화에 대한 경영진의 관심은 모든 표준화활동의 유형에 대해서 중요한 결정요인으로 나타났다.

시그마경영은 1997년 국내에 도입된 이후 많은 기업이 생존 전략과 경영혁신의 방법으로 활용 하고 있다. 도입 초기에는 대기업과 제조업을 중심으로 적용되었으나 이후 서비스업과 R&D에 이르는 전 분야에서 운영되고 있다. 다양한 업종에서의 적용으로 각 분야에 따른 성공요소가 연구 발표되었다. 현재는 철도청을 비롯하여 우정사업 본부, 환경부에 이르기까지 다양한 공공기업과 관공서도 혁신의 방법으로 6시그마 경영을 도입하여 활용하고 있다 그러나 아직까지 공공부문의 특성이 고려된 성공요소에 대한 연구는 미진하였다. 본 논문은 이윤 추구를 중심으로 하는 일반기업과 다른 공익성을 강조해야 하는 공공기업의 특성과 공무원에 특징을 고려한 6시그마경영의 성공요소에 대하여 연구하였다.

본 연구는 우리나라 산업간에 Technology 수렴가능성에 대한 기존 선형(Linearity) 설정 관계식보다 비선형(Nonlinearity) 설정관계식에서 실증분석하는 데 연구목적이 있다. 본 연구목적을 위하여 장기적 시계열자료를 이용하여(1970∼2000), 우리나라 제조업과 총 산업(Grand Total)간에 Technology Gap에 대한 정상성(Stationarity)을 검증함으로써, Technology수렴 가능성을 검토하였다. 본 연구결과는 Technology수렴가설에 대한 두 가지 중요한 실증분석방향을 제공하고 있다. 첫째, 우리나라 산업간에 Technology 수렴가능성은 비선형관계에서 분석해야 한다는 결론을 얻었다. 따라서 우리나라 산업간에 Technology 수렴가능성은 단순 선형관계를 기반으로 할 경우, 설정오류에 따른 Technology 수렴가능성이 성립하지 않을 가능성이 높게 나타날 수 있었다. 둘째, 우리나라 경제의 경우, Technology 수렴가능성에 대한 분석결과는 비선형관계에서 Technology Regime별로 Technology 수렴가능성이 다르게 나타나고 있음으로 실증분석방법론 및 그 결과에 대한 시사점도출에 유의해야 한다.

This study investigates the determinants of output of a manufacturing firm's innovative activity (the number of patent applications) and spillover effects using a count data model. This paper attempted a negative binomial distribution In order to take into account unobserved heterogeneity. The results of our study suggested that Firm size, R&D intensity, technical network activity, and online business performance have significantly positive effects in the Korean manufacturing industry. Moreover, there are significantly positive spillover effects in the same industry sector.

The explosion in creation and utilization of IP including Patent since 1980s has been regarded as typical trend affecting the environment for technological innovation. Korea also has shown massive creation of IP. These stimulate the focused interest on the effectiveness of IP for protecting the innovation output. We try to analyze the determinants of this effectiveness in Korean manufacturing sector in terms of the charactenstics of firm's innovation strategy. It is shown that, for protection for product innovation, as being larger, and as having made innovation, the IP protection is regarded as effective, and firms making cooperative R&D have a higher possibility of using IP protection. And larger firms give a higher recognition to effectiveness of IP protection irrespective of the types of innovation such as product innovation and process innovation.
