연비향상을 위한 하이브리드 엔진 시스템 모델 개발과 최적화에 관한 연구 (Development and Optimization of the Hybrid Engine System Model to Improve the Fuel Economy)

  • The purpose of this study is development of universal engine model for integrated Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) simulator and a optimization of engine model. The engine model of this study is based on the MATLAB Simulink for universal and include engine fuel economy technologies for HEV. Various engine fuel economy technologies for HEV is estimated by commercial engine 1-D simulation program - WAVE. And, the 1-D simulation model of base version is compared with engine experiment result. The analyzed engine technologies with 1-D simulation are Dual-CVVT, Atkinson-Cycle and Cylinder-Deactivation System. There are improvement of fuel economy and power performance with Dual-CVVT model at part load and full load, pumping loss reduction with Cylinder-Deactivation System at idle and regeneration. Each estimated technologies are analyzed by 1-D simulation on all operation region for base data to converse simulink. The simulink based engine model maintains a signal with ECU for determination of engine operation point.

  • Gas valve for domestic use is used for flow control of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) or LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) of which pressure is about $200\;mmH_{2}O(\fallingdotseq0.0196\;[bar])$. Currently, two kinds of valves such as rotary type and button type are widely used in many applications. But, these valves have some problems that they are not controllable and reliable. Piezo actuation combined with modem microelectronics provides a reliable, quiet, low energy, infinitely adjustable gas valve. In this paper, gas valve using piezo actuator which are bimorph and a circle type was studied. Also, Prototype for gas valve was manufactured and characteristics of the prototype gas valve were analyzed.

  • 천연가스 자동차에 탑재되어 있는 연료압력 레귤레이터는 연료분사시스템의 압력을 일정하게 유지하는 역할을 한다. 연료압력의 정확한 제어는 천연가스 자동차가 가지고 있는 높은 효율성과 청정성을 십분 활용하기 위해서 반드시 필요한 사항이다. 본 연구에서는 천연가스 레귤레이터의 성능을 정확하게 평가할 수 있는 고압실험장치를 구축하였으며, 이 장치를 이용하여 두 가지 방식의 천연가스 레귤레이터를 평가하고 상호 비교를 하였다. 레귤레이터 밸브시스템의 설계에 따라 여러 가지 레귤레이터 성능 특성 중 동적응답과 Creep특성이 영향을 많이 받는 것으로 나타났으며, 레귤레이터 입구 압력이 높을 경우 출구 가스의 온도가 급격히 감소하는 것으로 나타남으로써 아이싱문제를 효과적으로 방지할 수 있는 방안이 마련되어야 함을 확인할 수 있었다.

일체형 파드백 기구를 갖는 유압 서보실린더 개발 연구 (Development of a Hydraulic Servo Cylinder with an Integrated Feedback Mechamism)

  • This paper presents a new type of hydraulic servo chllinder which is characterized by its simple construction and an ubtegrated feedback mechanism. Piston position of the cylinder is controlled by eletrical input and mechamical feedback deduced from its own structure. Hydraulic pressure in each cylinder room is controlled by a poppet valve. The poppet is activated by a solenoid and is linked to the piston. Solenoid input current pulls up the poppet, which results in pressure drop and thus piston motion. The piston motion generates pull down force on the poppet by the linkage and the motion stops at equilibrium. In that way the piston position is controlled by an expernal input current. Characteristics of the servo cylinder is verified by stability analysis, tranient vehavior and steady state positing for step input. Design parameter analyses have been executed by derivation of analytical approximate solutions and by computer simulations. A prototype hydraulic servo cylinder is developed and tested. The experimental results show successful function of the servo cylinder and consistency with the theoritical results.

시스템 히트펌프의 용량조절 및 다변수 제어 특성에 관한 연구 (The Performance of Capacity Modulation and MIMO Control for System Heat Pump)

  • A system heat pump provides the benefits of comfort, energy conservation and easy maintenance. Recently, the system heat pump has been employed in small and medium-sized buildings. However, the performance data and control algorithm for system heat pump are limited in literature due to complicated system parameters and operating conditions. In the present study, the performance of a system heat pump with two indoor unit is measured by varying indoor loads, EEV opening, and compressor speed. In addition, the integral optimum regulator which includes MIMO control algorithm is proposed. The capacity modulation and optimum capacity for each indoor unit can be adjusted by utilizing the EEVs opening and compressor speed. The proposed scheme shows appropriate control performance at test conditions.

  • 발사체 추진기관은 추진제 탱크, 가압시스템, 추진제 충전/배출 시스템, 밸브 구동 시스템, 퍼지 시스템 등으로 구성되어 있다. 이 중에서 가압시스템은 온보드 실시간 제어 시스템을 포함하는 유일한 시스템으로 가장 중요한 서브시스템이다. 그러므로 추진제의 탑재량 선정 및 추진제 공급 시스템 개념설계 단계에서 가장 먼저 고려되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 여러 타 발사체의 가압시스템에 대해 자료 조사를 수행하였고 국산화시 개발 가능한 구성을 정리하였으며, 최종적으로 시스템 중량 비교, 운용/안전/신뢰성/확장성 등을 비교 검토하여 최적 구성을 선정하였다.

  • As an alternative of well-mixed storage tank with lower coil only, we have proposed a tank with lower and upper coils and verified a superior thermal stratification in a tank, which results in increased collector efficiency and solar fraction. But the phenomenon of temperature reversal was often experimentally observed in the tank, so a revised control was successfully applied which is to heat only lower coil using three way valve if temperature reversal occurs and to operate the collector with low flow rate when the condition of solar radiation is not good. In the present study, using TRNSYS we compared the existing lower heating and the proposed lower and upper heating with a control preventing temperature reversal. The results showed that the proposed method has an increase of collector efficiency by 5.1% and solar fraction by 3.2%.

단기통 모터사이클 엔진 제어용 ECU에 관한 연구 (A Study on the ECU for Controlling One Cylinder Motorcycle Engine)

  • The most typical fuel control devices of motorcycle engines have carburetors, they are simple in structure and reliable in work. Most of the motorcycle engines have used carburetors in the fuel system, but the fuel economy and the emissions of those engines are bad when we compared with automobile engines. According to stricter emission regulations and higher requirements for fuel economy, the application of the carburetor on the motorcycle engines would be limited. In this paper, we studied about the ECU of motorcycle engine controled by indirect method. A new engine system was designed and experiments were carried out. The experimental results for both carburetor type and ECU type were compared. Maximum torque of $1.053kg{\cdot}m$ at 6500rpm was measured. The engine torque controled using ECU was increased by $10\%$ compared with the carburetor type.

발전소 터빈제어 밸브시험 계통 모델 개발 (Development of Process Model for Turbine Control Valve Test in a Power Plant)

  • A turbine control system which has been operated for years in a nuclear power plant was retrofitted with a newly developed digital control system. After completion of the retrofit, turbine valve tests were performed to ensure the integrity of each valve's control function. The sequence of each valve test is composed of a closing process and a reopening process. To minimize megawatt variation which normally occurs during the test sequence, we employed a kind of compensator algorithm in the new digital control system which also have been used in the old system. There were difficulties finding optimal parameter settings for our new compensator algorithm because the power plant didn't allow us to perform necessary tuning procedures while the turbine is on load operation. Therefore an alternative measure for the compensator tuning which is independent of the turbine actual operation had to be implemented. So, a process model for the test was required to overcome this situation. We analyzed the operation data of the test and implemented the process model by use of input and output variable relations. Also we verified the process model by use of another condition's operating data. The result shows that the output of model is similar to the actual operation data.

기체의 유량 및 온도 변화에 따른 진공 펌프의 성능 특성 연구

  • 반도체 및 LCD 공정이 진행되는 진공 챔버는 유량계, 진공 펌프 및 밸브 등을 이용하여 적절한 공정용 기체와 압력을 제어하게 된다. 공정에 따라 매우 높은 온도를 유지해야 하는 경우도 있다. 챔버 내부의 압력은 유입되는 기체의 시간에 따른 유량 변화에 의하여 주기적으로 변화하게 된다. 이러한 유량 변화는 장기적으로는 결국 펌프의 신뢰성(내구수명)에 영향을 주게 되며, 특히 고유량 및 저유량을 반복하게 되는 공정에 있어서는 더욱 큰 영향을 미치게 된다. 또한 챔버 내부는 다양한 화학적 반응이 일어나며 이러한 공정 기체들의 높은 온도는 결국 챔버에 연결된 펌프의 성능 및 신뢰성에도 영향을 주게 된다. 대부분의 반도체 및 LCD 공정이 이루어지는 압력에서는 전도 및 대류의 열전달 형태 보다는 열복사에 의한 영향을 받게 되어 챔버를 적절히 설계한다면 펌프에 직접적으로 전달되는 복사량은 상대적으로 낮고, 펌프에 미치는 영향도 크지 않게 된다. 그러나 압력의 변화에 따라 전도 및 대류의 영향이 커지게 되는 경우에는 펌프 자체 및 성능에 큰 영향을 주게 될 것이다. 터보형 펌프의 국내(KS) 및 국제규격(ISO)의 성능시험방법에는 이러한 온도에 따른 펌프의 성능 특성 변화를 다루고 있지 않으며, 크라이오 펌프인 경우 열복사의 영향에 대한 시험방법이 일부 공개되어 있다[J. Vac. Sci. Technol. A17(5)]. 본 연구에서는 기체의 유량 및 온도 변화에 따른 진공 펌프의 성능 특성 변화를 고찰하고자 하며, 향후 이러한 시험방법에 대한 표준 절차를 확립하고자 한다.
