PTA-I test of KSR-III Propulsion Feeding System (KSR-III 추진기관 공급계 PTA-I 종합수류시험)

  • The propulsion feeding system of KSR-III is composed of tubes, valves and PSC, and controls the flow of propellant entering to engine. The test of PTA-I is carried out to verify the characteristic of propulsion feeding system and component. The tests of operation characteristic of component, hydraulic characteristic of tubes, flow control using venturi, oscillation of dynamic pressure, characteristic of regulator are carried out. Troubles of component are found out, and renewed, and the performance of the propulsion feeding system is verified through PTA-I. The results of PTA-I are used to the configuration of propulsion feeding system and test of PTA-II.

  • The valve device is installed in hazardous areas, such as a chemical plant explosion has been sealed with fire protection device to prevent the risk of explosion. In this paper, due to the explosion-proof devices using external power the device can not be used in infrared sensors and Zigbee sensor valve device by measuring the open degree of valve opening and closing of the danger zone to check whether. Valve opening and closing operation log screen time, we propose a low-power operation monitoring system administrators to manage and control the plant. Develop power control relay board apply an improved algorithm to apply the asynchronous LPL power management. The plant monitoring system and explosion-proof valve opening and closing the valve system with the intelligent device designed and implemented and tested it.

  • In this study, a linearlized model of liquid rocket engine specifically for the gasgenerator cycle one was developed to serve as a basic control model. A commercial software Simulink was used for the modeling. Using this tool we studied the throttling characteristic of engine around its nominal mode. To obtain the effect of the throttle valve design on the engine's control characteristic, we included mathematical model of the control valve with driving motor and the pressure stabilizer which installed on the gas-generator fed line to sustain the mixture ratio of the gas-generator.

  • In this paper, Analytical study is carried out on the impedance characteristics of the globe control valve, which is mainly used for thrust control in liquid rockets, according to the effective area at low frequency perturbation. The impedance tends to increase according to effective area and the cause of impedance characteristic change through flow field visualization is investigated. In the future, the information on the change in the impedance characteristics of the control valve can be used to obtain the impedance of the supply system and it can be utilized to predict pogo phenomenon as well as design accumulator and orifice to reduce the pogo phenomenon.

  • In this study, a thermal system was designed using a 3-way valve and PTC attached to a solar module. This design could help solve the problem of rising fossil fuel costs caused by limited reserves and environmental problems resulting from fossil fuel use. The thermal system is a hot-air and heating control system composed of a temperature sensor part, mode setting part (for hot air and heating modes), supply part, and thermal system control part. The temperature sensor part has piping and an indoor temperature display, and the temperature setting part has multiple monitoring functions. The mode setting part switches between hot air and heating modes and can be used to set the temperature. The thermal system control part performs functions such as PTC control and temperature setting, PTC day and night and time selection, hot air and heating control, and three-way valve selection. The results verify that the system operates with stable response speeds of $680{\mu}s$ in the temperature sensor part, $700{\mu}s$ in the mode setting part, and $610{\mu}s$ in the thermal system control part.

  • Gas valve time control system used to set the time to use the gas system by one of the user's negligence explosion, fire, and to prevent accidents such as suffocation. Gas valve is one of the items is not a replacement without any special issue after installation in each customer. So sufficient test is required prior to the installation device. In this study, the test system was developed to use to set the number of times at the gas valve time control system.

  • This study specifies the flow control characteristics of a flow control valve(FCV) in a submerged cargo pumping system through experiments and simulations. In the experiments, the functions of the major components of the FCV in relation to the FCV's flow characteristics are presented clearly. Through the simulations, it is shown that the simulation program suggested in this study can be utilized for the design of the FCV.

  • As the analysis and design technologies for electro-magnetic actuation has advanced over the years, proportional solenoid valve is gaining acceptance in wide range of industrial and commercial applications because of its superior characteristics over the conventional AOV or MOV, such as improved performance, reduced maintenance costs. This research deals with the position controller design of two-stage flow control solenoid valve. Investigation of steady-state characteristics and dynamic model identification for pilot disc is performed. Least square method to minimize the error magnitude of frequency response between the closed-loop and target system is applied to the design of PI-controller gains. From the experiments of step and frequency response, it is concluded that the controller meets the performance specification of target system, which verifies the usefulness of controller design method for proportional solenoid valve.

  • HVDC(High Voltage Direct Current) 시스템은 무효전력의 독립적인 제어가 가능하여 계통의 안정적인 연계가 가능하다. 또한, 멀티 터미널 DC grid 구성이 가능해 다수의 계통을 통합 연계할 수 있는 장점이 있다. HVDC 시스템은 단위 유닛인 서브모듈로 구성된 MMC(Modular Multi-level Converter) 구조를 갖으며 밸브 단위로 시스템이 구성된다. VSC(Voltage Source Converter) 밸브는 IEC 62501 기반의 규격을 바탕으로 하드웨어 설계의 건전성과 성능을 확인할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 (주)효성이 개발중인 200MW 모듈형 멀티레벨 컨버터 밸브 단위의 성능과 설계의 건전성을 확인하기 위해 밸브단위 운전시험 회로를 구성하였으며, 운전 시험 결과를 분석하였다.

  • This paper describes the control of a solenoid valve of ESC(Electronic Stability Control) with hydraulic modulator in braking system. ESC ECU(Electronic Control Unit) to control the high-frequency control and slope control method was applied, the surge pressure and EMI(electromagnetic interference) reduction characteristics were studied. The stage of ECU output was added the slope shaping function to reduce electromagnetic emission at higher frequencies. Measurements show that this high frequency ECU manages to reduce the surge pressure and electromagnetic emission by the control of solenoid valve. In conclusion, by using the results of this study for the high frequency ECU control, we could expect enhancement of braking system performance.
