Relationship between Acculturative Stress and Mental Health of Multicultural Youths - Focused on the Mediating Effect of Social Support - (다문화 청소년의 문화적응 스트레스와 정신건강의 관계 -사회적 지지 매개 효과 중심으로-)

  • This study is to investigate the mediating effects of social support on the relationship between acculturative stress and mental health of multicultural youth. The results of the study were as follows: 1.573 of the 4th(middle 1) to 6th(middle 3) of the multicultural youth panel were analyzed by AMOS 22.0. First, the acculturation stress of multicultural youths had a positive effect on mental health. Second, acculturation stress of multicultural youths had a negative effect on social support. Third, social support of multicultural youths had a negative effect on mental health. Fourth, social support of multicultural youths had a mediating effect on the effect of acculturation stress on mental health. This result shows that the stress of multicultural youths in the process of adapting to the dual culture negatively affects social support, and this social support has a positive effect on the mental health of multicultural youths.

세계 선진 수의 기생충학회(W.A.A.V.P) 제17차 국제학술대회

  • 세계 선진 수의 기생충학회 (World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology; (W.A.A.V.P.) 제17차 국제학술대회 (the 17th International Conference)가 1999년 8월 15일부터 20일까지, 덴마크의 대학도시 코펜하겐 (Copenhagen, Denmark)에서 개최되었다. 제17차 금년도 W.A.A.V.P 국제학술대회의 특징은, '기생충 (parasites). 생산 (production) 그리고 환경 (environment)'이라는 슬로우건을 내걸고, 06개국의 회원국에서, 750 여명이 참가하여, 13가지의 주제별로, 700여 제목의 특강과 학술발표 (구두 및 포스타 발표), 워크샵 등으로 이루어 졌다는 점이다. 새롭고 눈에 띄는 발표중에는, 네오스포라 캐나이눔 (Neosporacaninum)의 백신개발에 관한 연구보고도 있었다, 금년도 W.A.A.V.P. 국제학술대회에는 우리나라에서 필자를 포함하여 서울대학교 수의과대학 기생충학 교실에서 윤희정 교수와, 박사학위 과정중에 있는 이종경 수의사와 서흔수 수의사가 참여하었으며 3 제목을 발표하었다. 앞으로, 2년 후에는, 제18차 W.A.A.V.P. 국제학술대회가 이태리의 스트레사라는 도시에서, '전진을 가속화, 전통을 지키며' ('Promoting Advancement, Preserving Tradition')이라는 슬로우건을 내걸고 열리게 될 예정이다. 우리나라 수의기생충 연구업무의 활성화 위하여, 세계 선진 수의 기생충학회 제17차 코펜하겐 학술대회와 제18차 스트레사 학술대회에 관한 정보를 제공하고자 한다.

Optimum Spray Program of Preventive Bactericides for the Control of Bacterial Blossom Blight of Kiwifruit (참다래 꽃썩음병 예방약제 최적 살포 체계)

  • Bacterial blossom blight of kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa) has been mainly controlled by antibiotics. Among 15 candidate chemicals, streptomycin sulfate oxytetracycline WP, streptomycin copper hydroxide WP and oxolinic acid WP were selected as preventive bactericides against bacterial blossom blight of kiwfruit through in vitro and in vivo test. Spray of streptomycin sulfate oxytetracycline WP and streptomycin copper hydroxide WP at flowering period was most effective in controlling bacterial blossom blight of kiwifruit. Among the various combinations of spray times at different spray periods, optimum spray program of the preventive bactericides for the control of bacterial blossom blight of kiwifruit was turned out to be 3 times application with 10 day-interval from early May during the flowering season of kiwifruits.

Design of Class-II Partial-Response System above the Nyquist Rate (나이퀴스트 속도를 초과하는 제2종 부분응답 시스템의 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose a novel spectral-chopping model of Class-II$(1+D)^2$ -PRS system which reveals improved spectral efficiency. We build up the model having spectrum chopped by the amount of Nyquist over-rate, and then compare its characteristics with the conventional model in both the time-domain and the frequency-domain. When the transmission system operates above the Nyquist rate, the new model has better performance than the conventional PRS using its inherent speed-tolerance. According to our investigations, Class-II PRS shows more excellent effect in the spectral-chopping method than Class- I and W types analyzed previously. We ascertain that the over-rate of 26.675 obtained by the inherent speed-tolerance could be improved upto 40% using spectrum-truncation. These effects come from the fact that the raised-cosine spectrum of Class-II PRS has smaller Boss of frequency component and energy than any other types for the same amount of truncation. In order to validate these theoretical results, we present their sidelobe-trends confirming cancellation effects at the sampling instants and some experimental results showing their patterns of eye-openings and spectra.
