This study proposed to seek the future development direction of policy information service in Korea by identifying users' needs for policy information and analyzing policy information users' behavior. For this purpose, we analyzed policy information users' needs and behavior through survey and interview methods, and the results are as follows. First, the most common purpose of policy information use was figuring out policy trends, and the Internet was the most common search method used in investigating policy information. Second, electronic resources showed a high rate of use, but the domestic material utilization ratio was higher, and the U.S. resources usage of overseas data was the highest. Third, users most often used materials produced within the last 2-5 years, and Web DB (journals, academic articles, etc.) and reports were the most used material types. Fourth, in the survey of opinion about methods for improving policy information utilization efficiency, cooperation between government agencies' libraries, cooperation between agencies producing the policy information resources, and the overall national collection of policy information were rated the highest.

The purpose of this study is to suggest formulation of collection development policies of electronic materials for special libraries related to economy and society. First, according to the basic directions and aims of special libraries, the written collection development policies should be codified. Second, the electronic materials selection committee or collection development committee should be formed at the organization level. Third, the special libraries should make advantageous contracts of purchase based on the cooperations between libraries through the formation of a consortium. Fourth, librarians in charge of collection development need to have substantial work abilities to cope with their role and expertism in the electronic environment. Fifth, to activate electronic materials, the strategy for budget increases should be made.

The aim of this study was to suggest a classification system adapted to provide policy information services. For this purpose, this study completed the following processes; BRM taxonomy analysis, document analysis, analysis of classification systems providing policy information, consulting classification experts, surveys and interviews with policy information consumers, and an empirical validation process through the actual construction of policy information materials. Finally, this study complemented and modified the BRM taxonomy system and proposed a classification system appropriate to policy information resources. Through the procedures of experts discussion, the steps of BRM analysis appropriate to provide policy information services is determined as three steps. The domestic institute websites for policy information services has confirmed the appropriateness of the BRM taxonomy system through the analysis system and service research to provide policy information resources. Also through the specialist interview, the confirmation of BRM and the improvement has been drawn. Through the questionaires, the study analyzes the appropriateness of available BRM taxonomy system and the requirements by subjects. And through the empirical verificaion, it determines the subject of BRM taxonomy system for policy information services.

In this study, to expand and develop the policy information portal (POINT) of the National Library of Korea Sejong. This study conducted a survey and in-depth interview with government officials and policy researchers. The suggested ways to support the policy information portal (POINT) in the future. As a result of the analysis, the use of the current policy information portal service was found to be low, and it was found that improvement of information access, integrated search, and expansion of information provision data were more necessary. It was suggested that a one-stop service should be implemented to provide various information, systematic information on related data for each task, overseas trend data, core service data, promotion activation, data linkage by strengthening cooperation with various government ministries and research institutes, and easy information provision and menu composition.

본 연구는 전자자료의 활용을 통한 학교도서관의 전자자료 선정정책에 관한 다양한 문제 및 그에 따른 현황을 조사, 분석, 평가하였다. 그 결과와 함께 전자자료 선정에 관한 이론을 토대로 학교도서관 선정정책의 모형을 제시함으로써 합리적인 장서구성방안을 제시하는데 목적을 두었다.

In ordo. to establish cataloging procedures for non-book materials(NBM), library has In make policy decisions which will apply to all materials. This study explores problem areas in bibliographic control and descriptive cataloging for NBM and issues to be decided in cataloging policy for NBM are presented. Recently proposed KORMARC Rules for Descriptive Cataloging, NBM is looked into and compared with AACR2R and some problems to be considered for revising are suggested. Principle and tools needed for subject analysis of NBM are discussed and special issues of subject analysis for NBM are presented.

수질오염관리 정책이 배출원 관리에서 유역공동체를 중심으로 한 사전 예방적 유역관리정책으로 변화됨에 따라 단순문서에 의한 오염원 자료관리 등의 업무처리체계로는 수질오염총량관리제 실시에 따른 실무지원이 어렵다. 이를 위해서는 수질오염총량관리기술지침에 근거한 하천, 호소 및 오염배출실태자료의 체계적 관리가 필요하며, 유역환경(단위유역, 소유역 등)에 대한 기초정보와 국가수질측정망 자료 및 자치단체 소하천 등의 수질자료의 연계활용이 필요하다. 따라서 경기도에서는 수질오염총량제 시행에 따른 유역관리현황 정보를 구축하고, 국가하천을 중심으로 한 중앙정부의 유역환경정보와 지방하천 및 소하천을 중심으로 한 지방자치단체의 유역환경정보를 통합, 운영함으로써 통합적인 유역관리지원 체계를 구축하고자 한다. 이를 통해 수질측정망 및 수위-유량 등 수문자료와 배수구역도, 단위유역도, 항공사진 등 지리정보를 활용한 유역관리정책 기반을 구축하고, 경기도 및 31개 시 군의 유역관리정책수립 및 시행에 필요한 논리적, 기술적 정보제공 시스템을 구축하고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 오염총량관리제도의 의무제 전환이 예측되는 상황에서 향후 광역시도간 광역계획 혹은 경기도내 시군의 오염총량관리계획에 능동적으로 대응하기 위해 경기도 차원의 수질측정망 자료, 오염원 실태조사 자료 및 수위-유량 등 수문자료와 배수-구역도, 토지이용도, 단위 유역도, 항공사진 등 GIS 자료 등을 데이터베이스화하여 경기도내 시 군 환경담당부서의 업무분석을 통해 업무에 활용되는 주요 환경자료에 대한 업무지원체계를 확립하기 위한 수질오염정보화 시스템을 구축하고 그 활용방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다.

This study was conducted as part of an effort to vitalize policy information services (POINT) of National Library of Korea, Sejong. The authors examined information behavior and policy information service use behavior of policy information users and checked if there are any differences in information behavior by participants' occupations (public officials, researchers, and librarians). We carried out an online survey and collected 331 completed survey responses. Overall, the most frequently used type of material was research report, followed by journal article and monograph, etc. The participants frequently used search engines and policy information services to acquire policy information. Also, 47.7% of the participants were aware of and had usage experience of POINT. Furthermore, we found statistically significant differences in some aspects of policy information behavior and in perceptions toward POINT across participants' occupations. These findings suggest that National Library of Korea, Sejong needs to improve their services based on a better understanding on target users.

교육행정정보시스템에서 제공하는 통계자료는 광범위한 데이터를 기반으로 학교행정 지원 및 교육 정책 수립의 기초가 되는 자료로 중요한 역할을 하지만, 고도화된 설계 과정 없이 행정정보처리 수준에서 제공되는 경우가 많아 일선업무에 적극적으로 활용되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 교육행정정보시스템 내에서 제공되는 각종 통계자료에 대한 현황 분석과 함께 활용 방안에 대한 요구분석을 진행하였으며, 이를 기반으로 통계자료의 효과적인 활용을 위한 제도적, 정책적 측면의 개선 방안을 도출하였다. 연구의 결과가 교육행정정보시스템에서 처리되는 데이터에 대한 전반적인 만족도 및 개선방안 수립에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.
