A Numerical Study on the Estimation Method of the Results of Static Pile Load Test Using the Results of Bi-directional Pile Load Test of Barrette Piles (바렛말뚝의 양방향재하시험을 이용한 정적압축재하시험 결과 추정방법에 관한 수치해석적 연구)

  • Bi-directional pile load test (briefly called 'BDH PLT') cannot be performed at loading levels where ultimate bearing capacity could be assessed in field, it is not possible to precisely determine both ultimate load and yield load and under loading. Since the load is transmitted separately to the skin and the end unlike the static pile load test (briefly called 'SPLT') and the direction of loading on the skin is opposite, such methods could have a result different from actual movements of shafts. In this study, three-dimensional finite element method (briefly called '3D FEM') analysis was conducted from results of the BDH PLT, made with barret piles, which were large-diameter cast-in-place concrete piles, and the calculated design constants were applied to the 3D FEM analysis of the SPLT to interpret them numerically and then, actual behaviors of cast-in-place concrete piles were estimated. First, using the results of the BDH PLT with cast-in-place concrete piles, behaviors of the piles made by loading upwards and downwards were analyzed to calculate load-displacement. Second, the design constants, calculated by the 3D FEM analysis and the back analysis, were applied on the 3D FEM analysis for the SPLT, and from these results, behaviors of the SPLT through the BDH PLT was analyzed. Last, the results of the 3D FEM analysis of the SPLT through the BDH PLT was expressed in relationships as {A ratio of bearing capacity of the SPLT and of the BDH PLT (y)} ~ {A ratio of reference displacement and pile circumference (x)}, and they were all classified by reference displacement at 10.0 mm, 15.0 mm, and 25.4 mm.

  • The objective of this paper is to investigate the lining board's capacity for the static load. The test is to inspect the possibility of retrofit and efficiency, which is required to upgrade the structure's capacity and to examine the effects of the improvements of specimen by using structural analysis, and static loading test, respectively. As the result of static loading test for measured stresses and deflections. H type lining board take sufficient load carrying capacity and high stiffness which likes ultimate load, displacement, and bending stresses of intermediate span and top, bottom flange more than 3 times channel type lining board.

  • Seismic performance evaluation for dam safety evaluation has been continually conducted. However the behavior analysis for the spillway pier which is known as the weak point of dam is seldom reported. Therefore, this study performed the static loading tests for a prototype structures as elementary tests for the final seismic performance evaluation of dam safety. The prototype of pier structure has 1/20 scale and it adopts to strength model. And cracking loads and ultimate loads of real structures are calculated through numerical analysis using commercial FEM program (ABAQUS). The results of this study show some difference between the results of prototype tests and the results of numerical analysis. Also, the ultimate and cracking loads can be estimated through the prototype loading test and numerical analysis.

  • SiC$_{p}$/AI 합금 복합재료에 있어서 동적 및 정적파괴인성시험을 실시하고 파괴거동에 미치는 부하조건의 영향을 검토하였다. 동적파괴인성시험은 CAI시스템을 이용하여 1.5m/sec의 부하속도로 실시하였고, 정적파괴인성시험은 만능시험기를 이용하여 0.3 mm/min의 부하속도로 실시하였다. 또한 파괴과정을 명확히 해석하기 위하여 동적부하조건에 대해서는 stop block법을, 정적부하조건에 대해서는 복수시험편법을 이용하였다. 균열의 발생 및 성장은 부하조건에 의해 크게 영향을 받으며, 변위량에 대한 균열의 발생은 정적부하조건에서 더 빨리 일어나고, 균열의 성장은 동적부하조건에서 더 급격하다. 또한 부하조건은 파괴의 형태에도 크게 영향을 미치며, 동적부하조건하에서는 정적부하조건하에 비하여 균열이 입자부분(입자의 파단 또는 박리)을통과해 가는 경향이 크고 비교적 많은 편향을 반복해서 진행해 가지 때문에 파괴인성치도 크다.다.

  • This paper deals with the static and dynamic analysis of the housing and PCB of TCU(Thruster Control Unit) for KSLV-I(Korea Space Launch Vehicle-I). TCU should pass the environment test simulating the flight environment of KSLV-I. The most important tests are the vibration and the shock tests. In this research, we proposed a design standard about the vibration and the shock environment and then verified TCU housing and PCB design met the standard. Based on the analytical results, the TCU housing was redesigned to meet the design standard. The new design is supposed to pass the environment test.

Static Test of a Composite Wing with Damage Tolerance Design (손상 허용 설계를 적용한 복합재 날개의 정하중 시험)

  • Static tests of the composite wing structure were performed to verify damage tolerance design. Both 5 cases of DLLT and 3 cases of DULT were completed to meet requirements for static strength. After inducing BVID and open hole damages on the critical areas of the composite wing based on associated regulations, the DULT and fracture test were performed. In major wing parts, the measured strains and displacements agreed well with those of structural analysis. The initial structural fracture occurred at the area having minimum margin of safety as expected by analysis. As a result, it was confirmed that results from analytic model and strength evaluation were similar to behaviors of the composite wing structure.

  • 모든 차형을 간단한 이상형으로 가정하여 그들을 수치적인 값으로 비교할 수 있다면 승용차 차 체의 설계상 매우 큰 도움이 될 것이다. 실제로 새로운 모델의 차가 개발되었을 때에는 다음과 같은 이유 때문에 그 prototype body에 대한 정적 시험이 실시되고 있다. 1) 조기에 설계의 문제점이나 차체의 주결함을 발견할 수 있어 시간과 경비를 절약할 수 있다. 2) 계속적인 정적 시험을 통하여 구조적으로 만족할 만한 road car를 만들 수 있다. 3) 과설계를 방지하여 차체의 경량화에 기여하고, 최적설계의 개발을 위한 길을 제시해 준다. 차체에 대한 정적 시험은 위와 같은 이유 때문에 발전되어 왔으며, 정적 시험의 효과를 ㅊ대로 하기 위하여 그것은 순수한 공학적 원리에 기초를 두어 실제의 사용조건과 충분히 일치되는 시 험으로서 고안되었다. 차체구조는 그 사명의 다양성뿐만 아니라 제작, 개수에 상당한 노력과 시 간이 필요하기 때문에 조기에 문제점을 발견하여 결함을 제지하지 않으면 안된다. 구조체로서의 많은 필요조건 중에서 특히 중요시되는 것은 강도, 강성 및 내구성이다. 그 때문에 차체의 강도, 강성시험은 이론적인 해석(탄성학, 구조역학, 강도학 등)에 앞서 여러가지 방법이 개발되어 왔 으며, 여기에서는 그 중 가장 대표적인 방법인 비틀림시험(torsion test)과 굽힘시험(bending test) 에 관하여 Pony 4-door Sedan 차체의 시험 결과를 토대로 하여 기술하고자 한다.

A Fracture Study on the Bonded DCB Specimen of the Mode III Type with Aluminum Foam (알루미늄 폼으로 된 Mode III 형의 접합된 DCB 시험편에 대한 파괴 연구)

  • In this study, the static analysis and experiment were carried out on DCB specimens manufactured with aluminum foam in order to investigate the fracture toughness at the adhesive joint of the structure bonded with adhesive. In case of static analysis, all specimen models were shown to have the maximum reaction force when the forced displacement proceeded as much as 5 mm. The maximum reaction forces became 0.25 kN, 0.28 kN and 0.5 kN respectively in cases of specimen thicknesses of 35 mm, 45 mm and 55 mm. Two specimens in case of static experiment were selected to verify these analysis results. The maximum reaction forces were shown when the forced displacement proceeded as much as 5 to 6 mm. The maximum reaction forces became 0.22 kN and 0.3 kN respectively in cases of specimen thicknesses of 35 mm and 45 mm. By comparing the derived results, it could be shown that there was not much difference between the data of analyses and experiments. Therefore, It is inferred that the study data can be secured with only analysis by no extra experimental procedure. It is thought that the mechanical properties at the structure bonded of DCB with the type of mode III can be analyzed systematically.

금속재 세미 모노코크 콘형 구조체의 정적 구조 시험

  • A semi-monocoque truncated cone structure, which is a main structure for the payload adapter of KSLV-I, was designed. Static test was performed to confirm the reliability of the cone structure under the design loads. Strains and displacements are measured during four load cases; the compressive axial, pure bending, pure shear, and combined loading conditions. The results showed that the cone structure satisfies the design requirements. An equivalent axial load was applied to the cone structure so that the global buckling of the cone structure occurred. The measured buckling load was compared with the predicted one by finite element method. The results show a good agreement.

Side impact regulation trend and simulation technology (측면 충돌 법규화 동향과 해석 기술)

  • 측면 충돌시 승객의 안전확보를 위한 미국 및 유럽의 법규 제정 과정과 배경을 살펴보고 이 두 법규를 비교하였다. 또한 이들 신 법규에 대응한 신차 개발을 위하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 같은 해석 기법을 이용시 개발 비용의 절감은 물론 개발기간도 단출할 수 있음을 보이고 미국 법규에 따른 해석 사례를 소개하였다. 정적 도어 구조 강성 해석의 경우 시험값과 평균적으로 10% 내의 오차를 보여주었다. 또한 동적 측면 충돌 해석 결과는 시험값과 비교하여 이동 대차 중심, 우측 B-필라하단 및 운전석 도어 중심에서의 Y-방향 속도의 경우 평균적으로 약 5% 차이를 보였으며 운전석 더미의 상해치는 골반 가속도의 경우 약 30%, 흉부 상해치의 경우 약 4%차이를 보여주었다. 이러한 해석 기술의 발달은 해석 결과와 시험결과 사이의 차이를 더욱 줄일 것으로 기대되며 이를 효과적으로 이용시 시작차의 제작비 및 시험비 절감 및 개발기간 단축을 가져와 자동차 설계분야의 국제경쟁력을 높이는 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.
