Korean students have shown high achievements on the cognitive domain of mathematics in a range of international assessment tests. On the affective domain, however, significantly low achievements have been reported. Among the factors in the affective domain, this article discusses on the value of mathematics in the perspective of Michael Polanyi's philosophy, which centers personal knowledge and tacit knowing. Polanyi emphasizes abstractness and generalization in mathematics accompanied by intellectual beauty and passion. In his perspective, therefore, utilitarian aspects and usefulness of mathematics imparted through linguistic representations have limits in motivating students to learn mathematics. Students must be motivated from recognition of the value of mathematics formed through participating authentic mathematical problem solving activity with immersion, tension, confusion, passion, joy and the like.

Lately, developing systems fully interoperable with others is considered an essential element for successful projects, as not only do e-commerce becomes ubiquitous but also distributed systems' paradigm spreads. However, since definitions of interoperability vary by viewpoints, it is still difficult to have the same understanding and evaluation criteria on interoperability. For instance, various interoperability parties in military use different definitions of interoperability, and its T&E is not conducted according to the definition, but only to levels of information exchange. In this paper, we proposed a new definition of interoperability as followsm First of all, we collected existing and various interoperability definitions, extracting key components in each of them. Second, we statistically analyzed those components and applied the association rules discovery in data mining. We compared existing interoperability definitions to ours. From this research, we found associations among the components from various definitions applying market-basketanalysis, redefining interoperability. Key findings of this research can contribute to a unified viewpoint on the definition, level, and evaluation items of interoperability.

An increasing number of students are giving up on learning mathematics at all grade levels, including elementary school. The study in this paper considers seven non-cognitive student characteristics to identify which are strongly correlated with giving up on mathematics at the elementary school level. Data were collected with a survey on the non-cognitive domain of mathematics learning that was developed by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity in 2015. The data were collected from 3,636 elementary school students in Korea, and we analyzed the data using the statistical computing program R. Of the seven components, efficacy and interest have a strong correlation with students' tendency to profess that they have given up trying to learn mathematics. The findings of the study shed light on which non-cognitive domain areas mathematics teachers need to pay more attention to in order to make their teaching effective. This study further investigated the correlation between responses to each of the 24 survey items and students' claim that they have given up on mathematics. Using the 8 items with the highest correlations, we have developed a shorter, 8-item version of the survey, which will be useful for similar future studies.

본 논문은 맑스가 자본주의의 사회적 및 환경적 부정의를 비판하고 정의로운 사회 및 자연과의 관계를 위한 사회주의적 프로젝트를 제안했던 원칙들을 밝히고자 한다. 본 논문은 이러한 과정에서 비판적 생태학 일반 그리고 특히 환경정의 이론이 더욱 발전할 수 있는 기반을 도출하고자 한다. 본 논문은 제안된 몇 가지 중요한 점들은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자본주의 사회 및 자연에 대한 맑스의 비판 그리고 사회주의 사회와 자연에 관한 그의 개념은 두가지 기본적인 정의 원리들, 즉 인간과 자연 간 관계에 관한 그의 생태적 개념화에서 도출될 수 있는‘필요’원칙과 ‘노동’원칙에 바탕을 두고 있다. 둘째, 도덕성의 이데올로기적 성격에 대한 그의 거부로 인해, 맑스는 자본주의 사회에 대한 비판으로 일관하면서 자본주의에서의 정의 이론을 발전시키지 않았지만, 반면 그는 사회주의 사회와 자연과의 관계에서 (환경)정의를 위한 이론적 기초를 제안했다. 그리고 끝으로 그의 환경정의에 관한 개념화는 단지 분배적 정의 패러다임으로만 이해되어서는 안되며, 그가 생산을 교환.분배 그리고 소비를 포함하는 유기적 전체로서 이해한 바와 같이 ‘생산적 정의’라고 부를 수 있는 것과 관련지어 이해되어야 한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine changes in Korean middle school students' affective attitudes toward mathematics over the past 5 cycles of TIMSS. To this end, we first analyzed the changes in students' affective attitudes towards mathematics in five major countries, and then analyzed the changes in Korean students' affective attitudes toward mathematics by item. As a result of the study, there were positive changes in Korean students' interest, confidence, and value perception of mathematics during the recent 5 cycle of TIMSS. Korean male students' affective attitude toward mathematics is higher than that of female students, and the gender gap has been increasing recently. There was a large difference in the affective attitudes toward mathematics among Korean students, depending on their achievement level, and in particular, the affective attitudes toward mathematics of students at the lower achievement level remained significantly low. Item-level analysis revealed a decrease in Korean students' awareness of the necessity of mathematics in daily life. Based on these results, we discussed the implications for cultivating Korean students' affective attitudes. It is hoped that the results of this study will be meaningfully used as basic data for examining the performance of mathematics education in Korea and contribute to developing measures to foster students' positive attitudes toward mathematics.

개념적 데이터 모델의 스키마를 논리적 스키마의 하나인 관계 스키마로의 변환 과정은 개체 무결성과 참조 무결성을 보장하여야 한다. 또한 안전한 데이터 베이스를 설계하고 구현하기 위해서는 보안성을 기존의 데이터 모델에 첨가시켜서 변환 과정에 보안성을 보장하기 위한 변환 규칙을 정의하여야 한다. 이 과정을 일관성 있고 효율적으로 하기 위해 변환 과정을 자동적으로 수행하는 도구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 보안 객체-관련성 모델을 이용하여 보안 관계 스키마로 변환하기 위한 변환 규칙을 정의하고, 변환 처리 과정을 자동적으로 수행하는 자동화 도구를 설계 및 구현하였다.

The purpose of this study is to verify the research trends on 101 articles about mathematical creativity published in domestic journals. The analysis criteria are as follows: (1)What kind of terms the articles use to refer to the creativity in mathematics education, (2)Whether the researchers conceptualize such the terms or not, (3)Whether the definitions are domain-specific or not, (4)What perspectives, categories and levels of the articles have on creativity. The results of this study show the following. First, numerous articles used 'mathematical creativity' in order to point to the creativity in mathematics education. Second, among the 101 selected articles, 60 (59.4%) provided an explicit definition of the mathematical creativity and 19(18.8%) provided an implicit definition. Among the 79 articles, only 43(54.4%) provided domain-specific definitions. Second, the percentage of articles preferring one perspective over the other 3 perspectives were similar. Third, the rate of articles which focused on press(environment) of all categories (person, process, product, press) was low. Fourth, regarding the levels of creativity, most articles were done on little-c creativity level, on the other hand, the articles having an interest in mini-creativity were very rare. Based on these results, necessities of explicit and domestic-specific definition, whole approach of mathematical creativity, and articles focusing on the mini-creativity level should be reported.

This study analyzed whether the suitability of strategy is playing a regulative role between IT characteristics & user characteristics and non-financial performance empirically. To this end, this study set up IT characteristics and user characteristics as independent variables, and set up non-financial performance as the performance variable of KMS, and also set up the suitability of the management strategy & informatization strategy of a business as moderating variables. This study defined the detailed factors in IT characteristics as IT maturity and IT/IS infrastructure while defining the detailed factors in user characteristics as perceived profit, organizing of learning, and user professionalism. In addition, this study defined non-financial performance as an organization member satisfaction, and KMS availability. As a result of the analysis, IT maturity & IT/IS infrastructure, which are defined as IT characteristics, and perceived profit, organizing of learning and user professionalism, etc., which were defined as user characteristics, were found to be variables playing a regulative role in non-financial performance.

시각 언어는 인간-컴퓨터 사이의 인터랙션 수단이다. 올바른 인터랙션을 위하여 저작된 컨텐츠와 재생되는 씬의 시맨틱이 인간과 컴퓨터는 물론 인간과 인간 사이에서 일관성과 신뢰성을 가져야 한다. 본 논문에서는 인터랙션의 일관성과 신뢰성을 위한 시각 언어의 시각문장 집합을 정의하고 형식화한다. 이러한 형식화는 시각 언어의 시각적 저작 내용의 모호성을 제거하여 공동 참여자의 신뢰성을 높인다. 또한 형식 정의에 대하여 저작 컨텐츠와 재생 씬의 동일성을 그래프로 증명한다. 이러한 형식 정의를 MPEG-4 컨텐츠 저작 도구에 적응한다. 즉. 각 객체 사이의 시간관계 정의에 따라 저작하며, 사용자 인터랙션에 따른 씬의 속성의 변화를 효율적으로 지원한다. 저작된 컨텐츠는 씬의 속성 정보에 따라 객체 사이의 동기화를 유지하면서 재생한다.

세계의 화장품 개발방향은 소비자의 욕구와 다양화와 관련기술 등의 발달로 인하여 피부미화, 청결 등의 단순한 효능에서 이제 고기능, 다기능을 갖는 제품들의 개발로 변화되고 있다. 이러한 세계적인 추세에 따라 국제화된 국내시장에도 기능성 화장품이 수입 또는 제조되고 있으며 국내 소비자들도 이러한 제품을 선호하는 경향을 보이고 있으므로 이를 적정하게 규제하며 소비자를 보호하기 위하여 기능성 화장품의 정의가 필요하게 되었다. 정의설정을 위해 미국, EU, 일본 등의 화장품의 정의와 범위 등을 연구하고 실제 판매되고 있는 제품들을 참고하여 기능성 화장품을 정의하였다. 또, 이러한 화장품의 범위 등을 구체적으로 설정하고 이에 대한 규제동향 등을 제사하고자 한다.
