Development of a Classification Scheme for Management of Technology Research - Approach on Research Designs and Methodologies - (기술경영 연구 분야의 연구 분류체계 제시에 관한 연구 - 연구 설계와 연구 방법론을 중심으로 -)

  • This paper proposes the newly developed a classification scheme for Management of Technology (MOT) research, by analyzing research papers published in major academic journals of MOT. To refine our proposed classification, we conducted a contents analysis after collecting 696 papers published in 11 major international journals and 2 representative domestic journals including Journal of Korean Technology Innovation Society, from 2006 to 2012. Our findings show that this classification scheme is composed of total 8 methodologies within each research design such as conceptual qualitative, empirical qualitative, conceptual quantitative, and conceptual quantitative researches. In addition, we provide research reviews based on characteristics between 1) domestic and foreign researchers, 2) domestic and international journals, and 3) different major domestic journals as follows. Firstly, the underlying trends of research design and methodologies in MOT research are concentrated in empirical studies regardless of the origin of researchers and journals. However, the proportion of theoretical discussion in the international journals is higher than that of theoretical discussion in the domestic journals. Secondly, there are many more empirical qualitative researches and archival researches written in the Journal of Korean Technology Innovation Society, whereas the proportion of empirical quantitative research and conceptual research published in the Journal of Technology Innovation is higher than that. From the results, this paper will contribute to choosing research designs and methodologies more suitable to research purpose for future MOT researchers and provide the direction for concrete systematic approach on research designs and methodologies.

  • Damage of both life and property has been increased by natural disaster under the influence of climate change, thus many natural disaster vulnerability researches have been carried out to make adaptation policy and impact assessment of climate change recently. Their method for assessing vulnerability usually have used proxy variables for making vulnerability indices. However, because their results were too qualitative and relative it tends to be hard to make absolute comparison and establish standard of prevention or adaptation ability. Accordingly, this study aimed at quantifying natural disaster vulnerability using emergy through recognizing disaster as the relations between order and disorder by system approach. As a result, ordering energy (4.66E+22 sej/yr) and ordered structure (1.98E+22 sej) of Busan in 2003 and disordering energy (7.80E+18 sej), disordered parts (4.55E+20 sej) and rebuilding energy (3.87E+20 sej) by typhoon Maemi were analysed. And then, this was compared with Hurricane Andrew in Dade County. Through this comparison, if the prevention ability of Busan increases, disordered parts can be reduced against the more powerful disordering energy. Also, prevention for additional damages by disaster is needed to practical rebuilding action. In conclusion, it was able to figure out the impact of disaster quantitatively by natural systems and urban systems showing as common measure. Based on this study and further research to make effective prevention for how much prevention ability should be increased will contribute to producing the scientific data for disaster management policy in future.

A Structured Review on Research Trend in the E-logistics Research in Korean Journals (E-logistics에 대한 국내 연구동향 및 체계분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to future research directions for the e-logistics area in Korea. To this end this study collected journal papers published in the five Korean academic journals for the last 15 years. The contents analysis of the collected papers includes research topic, research strategies and methods used in the studies. The analysis suggests the four trends: First, management of E-logistics has been more actively studied than other topics; second, "E-commerce research journal" has published E-logistics related studies more than other journals; third, empirical research paradigm is dominant in this research area; last, questionnaire survey is a method most frequently used in this area. E-logistics research is attracting researchers' attention but more efforts are needed to diversify research topics and methods.

  • 오염물의 혼합거동을 해석하기 위해 물리기반 모델을 이용하는 경우 모델을 구축하고 운용하는데 많은 시간과 재정이 소요되며 현장검증을 통한 검증이 반드시 필요하다. 하지만 데이터 기반 모델의 경우 축적된 데이터만으로도 예측을 수행할 수 있으며 물리기반모델에 비해 결정해야할 입력인자가 적어 모델운용이 용이하다는 장점이 있다. 다양한 데이터 모델 중 인공신경망(ANN) 모델은 데이터가 가지는 불확실성 및 비정상성, 복잡한 상호관련성에 효과적으로 대응할 수 있는 모델로 수자원 및 환경 분야에서 자주 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 인공신경망 모델을 이용하여 지천유입이 있는 대하천의 수질인자 (pH, 전기전도도, DO, chl-a)를 예측하였다. 다른 데이터기반 모델과 같이 인공신경망 모델 또한 수집된 데이터 질에 크게 영향을 받으며, 내부 입력인자의 선택이 모델의 예측 결과에 큰 영향을 미친다. 이러한 인공신경망 모델의 특성을 바탕으로 예측모형의 정확도를 향상하기 위해서는 크게 데이터 처리부분과 모델구축 부분에서의 접근이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 데이터 처리 과정에서 연구대상지점의 각각의 수질인자가 가지는 분포 특성을 유지하기 위해 층화표츨추출법을 이용하여 데이터를 구성하였다. 모델의 구축 과정에서는 초기가중치 값의 영향을 줄이기 위해 앙상블기법을 사용하였으며, 좀 더 견고하고 정확한 결과를 예측하기 위해 탄력적 역전파알고리즘을 추가하였다. 추가적으로 합류 후 본류의 미 계측지역 수질 예측 정확도 향상을 위해 본류의 수질인자뿐만 아니라 지류의 수질인자를 입력자료로 사용하여 모의를 수행하였다. 또한 동일 구간에서 수행한 현장추적자실험 자료를 이용하여 수질인자의 분포특성을 비교, 검증하였다. 개발된 모델을 이용하여 낙동강과 금호강 합류부 하류의 수질인자를 예측한 결과 지류의 수질인자를 입력자료로 추가한 경우 예측의 정확도가 증가하였으며, 현장실험 자료를 통해 밝혀진 오염물의 거동현상을 인공신경망 모델로도 동일하게 재현하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 제안한 인공신경모델을 이용한다면 물리기반 수치모델을 대체하여 지천으로 유입된 오염물의 거동을 정확하고 효율적으로 파악할 수 있을 것이다.

A Qualitative Study on Counselors' Authenticity and Therapeutic Changes based on Experience by Clients Majoring in Counseling (상담 전공 내담자가 경험한 상담자 진정성과 치료적 변화에 관한 질적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the components of how clients perceive the counselors' authenticity in actual counseling, and to examine the therapeutic changes and processes related to the counselors' authenticity. In-depth interviews were conducted with 12 clients majoring in counseling at graduate school, and as a result of analyzing using the Grounded theory approach, 57 concepts, 40 sub-categories, and 14 categories were derived. The major results of this study are as follows: first, the components of counselor authenticity perceived by clients were identified as 'honesty', 'sincere attitude', and 'heartfelt caring'. Second, counselors' authenticity was found to bring about deeper and generalized therapeutic changes when a deep level of acceptance and empathy for the client was accompanied. Finally, therapeutic changes in counselors' authenticity were found to be 'increasing self-understanding and acceptance', 'generalization of authenticity modeling', and 'increasing initiative in coping with problems'. This study contributed to the increase of the practical knowledge of the counselors' authenticity by identifying the therapeutic value of authenticity and factors, and provided the implications to education and training for novice counselors.

A Study on the Convenient Facilities for Accessibility to disabled student of 4-year university campus in Jeollabukdo (장애학생 접근성 확보를 위한 편의시설 현황연구 -전북 소재 4년제 대학을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the conditions of disability facilities in universities and to improve disability facilities for disabled students. First, we selected six universities in Jeollabukdo and categorized their accommodations into exterior connection facilities, interior facilities, sanitation facilities, guidance facilities, and other facilities. We evaluated their fidelity to guidelines on accommodations under the convenience enhancement act for students with disabilities. The physical environment of the universities generally did not fit the guidelines, and they did not provide an appropriate environment for students because of inconvenient utilization and lack of management, even though they were equipped. Universities should make a greater effort to improve and expand the accommodations to establish a consumer-centered higher-education environment. This can be done by universal design and enhancing the fidelity for an advanced higher-education environment and students with disabilities.

  • The MSIP has implemented "Act on The Development of Cloud Computing and Protection of Its Users" from September 2015 and invigorated the cloud service industry. The act mainly includes the improvement cloud computing reliability and user protection for the development foundation and use activation. In order to expand the cloud market, it is important to increase the reliability of individual users. However, practical discussions and approach for cloud services adoption are still limited. In fact, there is no agreement standard for domestic cloud services. As a user agreement is not standardized, users feel difficulty compare to each agreement of cloud service provider and may be damaged because of unfair terms. Thus, it is necessary to examine the unfairness of cloud service agreement for user protection. This study analyzes domestic and foreign cloud service agreements including Practical Guide to Cloud Service Agreement of Cloud Standards Customer Council and suggests the direction of the standard agreement of cloud services.

A Study on User Experience(UX) in the Usage Context of Erasing (지우는 맥락 상황에서의 사용자 경험(UX)에 관한 연구)

  • Nowadays, people start to focus on the value of 'Mindfulness' and 'Slowness', instead of the importance of 'Development' and 'Advancement' in their whole life. According to this background, we attempted to find new research opportunities on User Experience(UX) in usage context of 'Erasing'. Through a interdisciplinary literature review on related works regarding the concept of erasing, we tried to understanding the meaning of erasing within the perspective of philosophy, psychology, and human-computer interaction(HCI). We also conducted the contextual inquiry, one of the qualitative research methods to examine the actual usage context and the user's experience, with 79 users who were required to erase something in three usage contexts, including Paper-Eraser condition, Computer-Keyboard condition, and Tablet PC condition. The results indicate that it is important to provide not only effective erasing but also satisfaction for users in the usage-context of erasing. From these attempts, we expect that our findings will be helpful to understand the meaning of the erasing in academic and practical fields.

Student's Conceptual Ecologies Concerning Motivational Beliefs and Socio-Cultural Values in the Context of General Chemistry Leanring (일반화학 학습의 맥락에서 동기적 신념과 사회-문화적 가치에 관한 개념생태의 범주)

  • The purpose of this Study was to explore students' conceptual ecologies in the context of general chemistly learning. This study was implemented in the first semester of 1999 by natural study. We had nine voluntary participants. Data were collected from three semi-constructd interiews, and socio-cultural values. Among three categories, motivationa1 beliefs and socio-cultural values have more effcts rather than epistemology on the context of general chemistry learning, and three typical cases were presented as results of this study. We expect that results of this study will somewhat contribute to establish psychological and socio-cultural context of learning.

Performance Simulation of Planar Solid Oxide Fuel Cells Characteristics: Computational Fluid Dynamics (전산 유체 모델링을 이용한 평판형 고체산화물 연료전지 작동특성 전산모사)

  • To correctly simulate performance characteristics of fuel cells with a modeling method, various physical and chemical phenomena must be considered in fuel cells. In this study, performance characteristics of planar solid oxide fuel cells were simulated by a commercial CFD code, CFD-ACE+. Through simultaneous considerations for mass transfer, heat transfer and charge movement according to electrochemical reactions in the 3-dimensional planar SOFC unit stack, we could successfully predict performance characteristics of solid oxide fuel cells under operation for structural and progress variables. In other words, we solved mass fraction distribution of reactants and products for diffusion and movement, and investigated qualitative and quantitative analysis for performance characteristics in the SOFC unit stack through internal temperature distribution and polarization curve for electrical characteristics. Through this study, we could effectively predict performance characteristics with variables in the unit stack of planar SOFCs and present systematic approach for SOFCs under operation by computer simulation.
