The Mediating Effect of Perceived Control on the Relationship between the Mindfulness and Emotional Regulation in University Students (대학생을 대상으로 한 마음챙김과 정서조절의 관계에서 지각된 통제의 매개효과)

  • Mindfulness is being used as one of the techniques for emotional regulation. In emotional regulation, mindfulness is considered as an uncontrolled way in that it observes the present experience as it is, rather than attempting to reduce or eliminate negative affective experiences. However, in this study, the purpose of this study is to confirm that mindfulness can affect emotional regulation through perceived control. To confirm this, I verified whether perceived control had a mediating effect on the relationship between mindfulness and difficulty in emotional regulation. For this 366 university students (179 males, 187 females) were surveyed using the scales of mindfulness, perceived control, and difficulty in emotional regulation, and mediation was analysed using Hayes' PROCESS macro. As a result of the analysis, it was found that perceived control had a fully mediating effect in the relationship between mindfulness and emotional regulation difficulties. These results suggest that mindfulness affect emotional regulation through perceived control.

  • 성인의 정서에 따른 심혈관계 반응의 변화에 대한 연구는 많이 있으나, 아동 정서에 따른 심혈관계 반응에 대한 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 본 연구실에서 개발한 자극을 이용하여 유발된 정서에 따른 심혈관계 반응의 차이를 규명하고자 한다. 복합자극으로 구성된 아동용 정서유발 프로토콜을 사용하여 아동에게 다섯가지 정서(기쁨, 슬픔, 분노, 스트레스, 무료함)를 유발시키는 동안 심혈관계 반응(ECG, PPG)을 측정하였다. 실험참여 아동은 만 5세에서 9세 사이의 아동으로 모두 141명이며, 분석에는 132명 (학령전 남: 30/ 학령전 여: 33/ 학령후 남:37, 학령후 여:32)의 데이터가 활용되었다. 분석에 사용하나 심혈관계 생리반응 변수는 심박률(HR), 호흡주기 관련 심박률변화 (RSA), 심박률분산(HRV), 심박률분산의 고주파수성분 (HFHRV)과 저주파수성분 (LF HRV), 혈류량 (FPV)이었다. 이 변수들 중 심박률, R파 간 간격을 기준으로 한 심박률변산의 고주파수 성분과 저주파수 성분, 그리고 혈류량에서 정서에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 심박률은 기쁨, 슬픔을 스트레스나 무료함과 구분할 수 있고, 분노를 다른 정서들과 구분하는 것으로 나타났다. 혈류량 역시 분노와 다른 정서들 간에 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 고주파수 성분은 무료함을 나머지 정서들과, 저주파수 성분은 슬픔, 스트레스를 무료함과 구별할 수 있었다. 정서에 따라서는, 기쁨과 분노 유발정서에서는 심박률과 혈류량이 감소하였고, 슬픔은 심박률과 저주파수성분이 감소하였으며, 스트레스는 독특하게 심박률이 감소하였다. 그리고 무료함에서는 고주파수성분과 저주파수성분은 증가하고 혈류량은 감소하는 특징적인 양상을 보였다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 심혈관계 반응을 이용하여 아동정서를 구분하는 것이 가능함을 밝혔다.공을 제외한 BH-2, BH-3호공에서의 이방성 투수량계수텐서값은 이 논문의 가정인 대수층이 이방성이고 균질하다는 가정에 일치하지 않았다. 따라서 원형좌표계에 도시하였을 때 다른 공에 비해서 비균질성이 심한 결과로 인해 이방성타원체 에서 많이 벗어남을 보였다. 이로인해 3개의 공 BH-1, BH-4, BH-5호공을 사용하여 대수층의 이방성을 분석하여 보았다. BH-1호공에서의 $T_{{\varepsilon}{\varepsilon}}$는 171.90 $m^2$/day, $T_{ηη}$는 71.0l $m^2$/day이고 주 텐서방향은 Nl5.39$^{\circ}$ E로 나타났다. BH-4호공의 $T_{{\varepsilon}{\varepsilon}}$는 268.20 $m^2$/day, $T_{ηη}$는 28.75 $m^2$/day이고 주 텐서방향은 N7.55$^{\circ}$E이며 BH-5호공에서의 $T_{{\varepsilon}{\varepsilon}}$는 168.40 $m^2$/day, $T_{ηη}$는 66.80 $m^2$/day이고 주 텐서방향은 N76.59$^{\circ}$E로 나타났다. 이처럼 연구지역에서의 각각의 공에 대한 투수량계수텐서는 서로 다르게 나타났으며 이에 따른 주 텐서방향도 서로 다름을 알 수 있다.. The Effects of the Emotion Regulation Strategy to the Disgust Stimulus on Facial Expression and Emotional Experience (혐오자극에 대한 정서조절전략이 얼굴표정 및 정서경험에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is to examine the effects of emotion regulation strategies in facial expressions and emotional experiences, based on the facial expressions of groups, using antecedent- and response- focused regulation. 50 female undergraduate students were instructed to use different emotion regulation strategies during the viewing of a disgust inducing film. While watching, their facial expressions and emotional experiences were measured. As a result, participants showed the highest frequency of action units related to disgust in the EG(expression group), and they reported in the following order of DG(expressive dissonance group), CG(cognitive reappraisal group), and SG(expressive suppression group). Also, the upper region of the face reflected real emotions. In this region, the frequency of action units related to disgust were lower in the CG than in the EG or DG. The results of the PANAS indicated the largest decrease of positive emotions reported in the DG, but an increase of positive emotions reported in the CG. This study suggests that cognitive reappraisal to an event is a more functional emotion regulation strategy compared to other strategies related to facial expression and emotional experience that affect emotion regulation strategies.

Characteristics of Affective Optimization in Elderly Koreans (정서경험 빈도와 정서조절 방향에 나타난 한국 노인의 정서최적화 특징)

  • This study was performed to test the socioemotional selectivity theory (SST) with Korean adults. According to SST, perceiving their life as limited, people are motivated to enhance their mood by regulating their mood in such a way to maximize the positive emotions and weaken the negative ones. Being founded on the dialectical constructs which assume the positive and negative sides of emotional experience coexist, Korean adults were supposed to be less motivated to maximize positive emotions and weaken negative emotions. Thus the elderly koreans might regulate emotions not in the direction of maximizing the positive emotions and weakening the negative ones, but in the direction of not being highly aroused. 166 youth, middle-aged, and elderly were asked to rate the frequencies of 31 positive and negative emotions they had experienced during the last month. In addition, they were asked to judge whether they weaken / adapt / maximize their emotions after experiencing positive and negative events. The elderly experienced less positive emotions as well as negative emotions than youth. Youth experienced emotions of high arousal more often than those of low arousal, but the elderly experienced emotions of high arousal less often. The responses of weakening their negative emotions and their positive emotions were largest in the elderly group. On the other hand, the response of maximizing their positive emotions were largest in the youth group. These results show that the elderly maintains emotional stability by weakening both positive and negative emotions of high arousal.

  • 어린이들이 자라나면서 인지지능발달도 중요하지만 현대를 살아가는 훌륭한 성인으로서 성장하여 사회나 조직 속에서 보다 성공적인 삶을 살아가려면 정서지능의 발달은 매우 중요하다. 어린이의 정서지능발달이 농촌체험을 통해서 이루어진다면 농촌측면에서 1석2조의 효과를 가져올 수 있는 것이다. 도시의 어린이들이 농촌체험을 하면서 정서지능을 키워갈 때, 우리 농촌에서는 농촌과 농업의 중요성을 알리고, 체험소득을 얻을 수 있기 때문이다. 따라서 본 연구의 목표는 농촌체험의 정서지능 향상 효과를 구명하는데 있다. 연구방법은 서울시 교육청에 지원학교 가운데 1개 학교를 선정하였으며, 대상학교의 5학년 2개 반 아동 중에 체험지원 아동 30명을 실험집단으로 선정하고, 같은 학교 같은 학년 1개 반 아동 30명을 비교집단으로 선정하였다. 조사도구는 청소년용 EQ검사 척도를 활용하였으며(문용린, 1999), 전혀 그렇지않다(0점)부터 매우 그렇다(4점)까지 총 40개 문항으로 구성되었다. 자료수집방법은 실험집단과 비실험집단 학생을 대상으로 사전 및 사후 질문지 120부가 활용되었다. 분석방법으로는 평균, 표준편차, 공분산분석, 독립표본t-검증, 대응표본t-검증이 활용되었다. 적용 체험프로그램은 초등학생을 대상으로 총 9회차로 포도이야기, 참새와 방앗간, 버섯따기 체험, 고구마 캐기, 허브도감만들기 등과 같은 농촌체험프로그램을 실시하였다. 연구결과 실험집단과 비실험집단에 대한 사전 정서지능 측정에서는 실험집단과 비교집단의 정서지능이 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 농촌체험프로그램을 실시한 후 사후검사에서는 실험집단(99.76)이 비교집단(97.79)보다 정서지능이 높게 나타났다. 실험집단의 정서지능의 농촌체험프로그램 사전 및 사후 결과 정서지능이 총점이 평균 7.08 정도 향상된 것으로 나타났으며, 정서지능에 사전 및 사후 결과의 평균을 하위 영역별로 살펴보면 '정서인식'이 1.76, '사고촉진'이 3.32, '정서지식'이 2.40정도 향상되었다. 하지만 비교집단의 정서지능은 사전과 사후간의 유의한 차이가 없어서 정서지능의 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 농촌체험프로그램을 지속적으로 9회 실시한 후 사전 및 사후 정서지능 검사에서 체험집단이 비체험집단보다 6점이나 더 높게 나타나 농촌체험을 통하여 정서지능 향상에 효과 있음이 구명되었다. 이 결과를 토대로 농촌체험은 정서 지능향상에 효과를 주고 있다고 할 수 있다. 앞으로 이러한 결과가 우리 농촌관광마을이나 체험농장에 홍보자료로 활용되었으면 한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effect of adaptive cognitive emotion regulation and the moderating effect of supervisor's emotional regulation in the relationship between the emotion recognition and negative feedback acceptance of employees. The data was collected from 273 non-managerial workers in various domestic companies. Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted with AMOS 22 to verify the reliability and validity of the measurement tool, and the mediating and moderating effects were examined using SPSS Process Macro to verify the hypothesis. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, emotion recognition of employees indirectly affects the acceptance of negative feedback through adaptive cognitive emotional regulation. Second, the effect of emotion recognition on negative feedback acceptance is moderated by supervisor's emotion regulation. Specifically, it was confirmed that when the supervisor's emotional control is low, the relationship between emotional recognition and negative feedback acceptance becomes stronger. Based on the results of the study, it was confirmed that the level of awareness of oneself and others' emotions was psychological process of accepting performance-related feedback, and the importance of supervisor's emotional regulation in positively accepting negative feedback. Finally, based on the research results, the academic significance of this study, implications in coaching practice, limitations, and future research were discussed.

Effects of Poverty Status on Socio-Emotional Development in Childhood : Focused on Comparing the Effects of Proxy Variables and Poverty-Co-Factors (빈곤지위가 아동의 사회·정서발달에 미치는 영향 :빈곤대리변수와 빈곤동반 위험요소와의 비교를 중심으로)

  • Present study investigated the effects of poverty and poverty-co-factors in childhood. The effect of poverty status was measured by needs-income ratio. It compared its effect on children's socio-emotional development with that of poverty proxy variables such as recipient of public assistance, financial stress, subjective perception about social class, residence in public housing. It also examined the effects of poverty-co-factors after poverty status were controlled. Results show that poverty status has a more consistent negative relationship with socio-emotional development than other proxy variables. However, the relationship between them disappeared after poverty-co-factors were controlled. Findings from the present study suggest that targeted efforts for decreasing poverty-co-factor risks should be made along with financial support.

Effect of Childcare Teachers' Empowerment on Affective Commitment (보육교사의 임파워먼트가 정서적 몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of childcare teachers' empowerment on affective commitment. For that, a survey was conducted of childcare teachers working at private-sector childcare facilities located at S City of Jeollanam-do. Data collected from 247 questionnaires were used for analysis, excluding those containing insincere answers. The collected data were investigated using SPSS 18.0, a statistical program, through reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, t/F-test, Scheffe post-hoc test, and hierarchical regression analysis. Major results of analysis were as follows: A difference in affective commitment was observed, depending on age and remuneration, the demographic characteristics of childcare teachers. Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted by factoring in each sub-variable of empowerment with demographic characteristics of childcare teachers being controlled. Among the empowerment variables of childcare teachers, significance, capability, and self-determination were found to have an effect on affective commitment. Meanwhile, the extent of influence did not have any effect on affective commitment. Finally, the variable that had the greatest effect on affective commitment of childcare teachers was significance among empowerment variables.

A Study on Influence of Foodservice Managers' Emotional Intelligence on Job Attitude and Organizational Performance (급식관리자의 개인적 감성지능이 직무태도 및 조직성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study were to: a) provide evidence concerning the effects of emotional intelligence on job outcomes, b) examine the impacts of emotional intelligence on employee-related variables such as 'job satisfaction', 'organizational commitment', 'organizational performance', and 'turnover intention' c) identify the conceptual framework underlying emotional intelligence. A survey was conducted to collect data from foodservice managers (N=231). Statistical analyses were completed using SPSS Win (16.0) for descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, cluster analysis and AMOS (16.0) for confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The concept of emotional intelligence (EI) has been on the radar screens of many leaders and managers over the last several decades. The emotional intelligence is generally accepted to be a combination of emotional and interpersonal competencies that influence behavior, thinking and interaction with others. The main results of this study were as follows. The four EI (Emotional Intelligence) dimensions correlated significantly with age. The means of job satisfaction score were above the midpoint (3.04 point) scale. The organizational commitment score was above the midpoint (3.41 point) scale and was higher at 'loyalty' factor than 'commitment' factor. The means of organizational performance score were above the midpoint (3.34) scale. The correlations among the four EI (emotional intelligence) factors were significant with job satisfaction; organizational commitment, organizational performance and turnover intention. The test of hypothesis using structural equation modeling found that emotional intelligence produced positive effects on job attitude and job performance. Emotional intelligence enhanced organizational commitment, and in turn, managers' attitude produced positive effects on organizational performance; emotional intelligence also had a direct impact on organizational performance. This study has identified the effect of emotional intelligence on organizational performance and attitudes toward one's job.

Emotion-related EEG features induced by tactile stimulation of textures (직물촉각자극에 의해 유발된 정서와 EEG 특성)

  • 인간의 정서를 분류하려는 노력은 오래전부터 있어왔다. 시각 및 청각 자극을 사용한 심리생리적 정서연구는 최근에 들어 활발하게 이루어지고 있으나, 촉각 자극을 사용한 정서연구는 찾아보기 힘들다. 본 연구는 피부에 가해지는 다양한 자극에 따라 나타나는 정서와 관련된 뇌파특징을 측정하고자 하는 기초연구이다. 물리적 특성이 다른 다섯가지의 직물자극을 20명의 대학생 피험자(20-25세)에게 무선적으로 제시하였다. 각 자극의 제시시간은 1분이었으며, 자극간 간격은 3분이었다. 각 자극제시후 매자극후 피험자는 제시자극에 대한 느낌을 주관적 정서척도로 평정하였다. 뇌파는 양쪽 귓볼(A1, A2)을 기준전극으로 하여 좌.우반구의 전두엽(F3, F4), 두정엽(P3, P4), 후두엽 (O1, O2)에서 측정되었고, 측정된 뇌파는 FFT방법으로 분석되었다. 각 피험자의 주관적 평가의 결과에 따라 가장 쾌한 자극과 가장 불쾌한 자극이 제시되었을 때 측정한 뇌파의 분석결과를 비교하였다. 쾌자극 제시시의 뇌파는 불쾌자극 제시시보다 slow alpha(8-10Hz)파의 출현량은 적었다. 결론적으로 직물촉각자극에 의해 유발되는 심리적 반응에 특정적인 뇌파반응이 존재하며, 이는 촉각에 의해 유발되는 주관적인 쾌.불쾌정서를 객관적으로 측정하기 위한 지표로서 뇌파특징을 사용할수 있음을 의미한다.
