  • A comprehensive understanding is given for the hot-firing test results, which were obtained throughout the verification program of mono-propellant hydrazine thrusters producing 0.95 lbf (4.2 Newtons) of nominal steady-state thrust at an inlet pressure of 350 psia (2.41 ㎫). The scrutiny is made in terms of thrust and temperature behavior of steady state firing mode at the given propellant injection pressures of 400, 250, 100, and 50 psi. Engineering philosophy of data measurement and reduction is shortly mentioned, too.

  • This paper summarizes a satellite program-specific performance requirements and test results for the verification of standard mono-propellant hydrazine thruster (MRE-1) producing 0.95 lbf (4.2 Newtons) nominal steady-state thrust at an inlet pressure of 350 psia (2.41 Mpa). Performance characteristics are shown in terms of thrust behavior at steady state and pulse mode firing. Hot firing test philosophy is briefly introduced, too.

  • In this paper, We generated a wander generation model from really measured clock noise data on the transmission node and DOTS in NG-SDH network. and then, We presented the performance of Synch. clock and maximum node level capable network configuration through the clock characteristics simulation on network having the steady-state clock.

  • 본 논문은 일사량 변화 시, 최대 출력점을 추종하는 태양광 발전시스템의 동적 응답특성을 향상시키기 위해 가변 스텝 사이즈 기반의 P&O (perturb & observe) 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 기법은 일사량과 PV (photovoltaic) 전류 관계로부터 일사량 변화에 따른 최대 전력점 전류 $I_{MPP}$변화 특성을 이용하며, 새로운 I-V 곡선에서 PV 동작점을 최대 출력점으로 빠르게 이동시키는 고속모드와 정상상태 부근에서 정상상태 효율 향상을 위한 가변 스텝 모드로 구성된다. 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 $500W/m^2$$1000W/m^2$ 일사량 증감 조건에서 제안된 MPPT(maximum power point tracking) 기법의 추종 성능을 검증하였으며, MPPT 주기가 2초이고 일사량 $500W/m^2$$1000W/m^2$ 증감을 할 때 추종시간은 약 30초 정도이며, 정상상태 PV 전압변동은 약 0.1V로써 일사량 변화 조건에서 제안된 MPPT 기법의 알고리즘 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 고체 추진제에서 연소실 압력이 급격히 변하는 비정상 상태에서의 연소 특성은 정상 상태와 다른 경향을 보인다. 고체 추진 시스템에서 안정적이고 필요한 성능을 얻기 위해서는 이러한 비정상 상태에서 일어나는 현상에 대한 예측이 필요하다. 고체 추진제에서 비정상 연소는 크게 두 가지 경우에 나타나게 된다. 그 중 하나는 소염을 위하여 연소실내 압력강하가 일어나는 경우이며, 다른 하나는 점화 후 압력이 상승하는 경우이다. 급격한 압력 강하로 인한 고체 추진제의 소염에 대하여 그 동안 많은 연구들이 진행되었다.(중략)

  • The steady-state and transient performance simulation program for a turboprop engine(PT6A-62) was developed. Specially this program included some algorithms, such as flat-rated behaviors in performance and limit control algorithms to prevent the compressor surge and the compressor-turbine inlet limit temperature overshoot. In order to minimize analysis errors, on interpolation method in component characteristics using matching errors and specific heat and specific heat ratio, which are functions of temperatures were used. The developed steady state performance analysis program can handle various conditions such as altitude, bleed extraction, inlet temperature and pressure and part throttle, and the transient performance analysis program incorporated a general mode for transient simulation and a control mode for prevention of the compressor surge and the turbine inlet limit temperature overshoot.

  • In this study, a performance model of the Smart UAV propulsion system with ducts, tip jets and variable main nozzle, which has flight capability of the rotary wing mode for the take-off/landing and low speed forward flight as welt as the fixed wing mode for high speed forward flight, has been newly developed. With the proposed model, steady-state performance analysis was performed at various flight modes and conditions, such as rotary wing mode, fixed wing mode, compound wing, mode altitude and flight speed. In investigation of performance analysis, it was noted that the operational capability of the propulsion system was limited due to the duct losses depending on each flight mode, and the limitation with the altitude variation case has much greater than that with the flight speed variation case.

  • We analyze the performances of the DCF, which is the medium access control protocol of IEEE 802.11 WLAN, assuming normal traffic condition. There have been much less research efforts under the normal condition than those under the saturated one. This paper proposes an analytical method of approximating the transmission attempt rate under normal condition as proportional to that under saturated condition. In result, we show that we can obtain the transmission attempt rate and the packet collision probability which quickly converge using iterative computations of relatively simple equations, and using these results we derive the network throughput and medium access delay. Numerical results show that our method is much less complex than those based on the Markov Chain while it can predict the performances quite accurately.

  • In this paper, a performance evaluation model of the switch router with the multiple-buffered crossbar switches is proposed and examined. Buffered switch technique is well known to solve the data collision problem of the crossbar switch. The proposed evaluation model is developed by investigating the transfer patterns of data packets in a switch with output-buffers. The performance of the multiple-buffered crossbar switch is analyzed. Steady state probability concept is used to simplify the analyzing processes. Two important parameters of the network performance, throughput and delay, are then evaluated. To validate the proposed analysis model, the simulation is carried out on a network that uses the multiple buffered crossbar switches. Less than $2\%$ differences between analysis and simulation results are observed. It is also shown that the network performance is significantly improved when the small number of buffer spaces is given. However, the throughput elevation is getting reduced and network delay becomes increasing as more buffer spaces are added in a switch.

  • Active disturbance rejection control is a method in which the disturbance is removed from the controller by estimating the state variable using the Luenberger observer. The Luenberger observer is estimated by defining a nonlinear term including disturbance with constant characteristics in a steady state as a state variable. It can be shown that the speed tracking performance is improved by compensating the estimated state variable to the PI controller and the IP controller. The disturbance removal performance of the tracking control can be confirmed by observing that the estimated state error is within 1.9 [%] in the case of load fluctuation and the steady-state state tracking error converges to zero.
