대학도서관의 정보기술 환경과 이용자의 정보기술 이용능력이 도서관 이용행태에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 규명하고자 한다. 본 연구는 독립변인으로 선정된 도서관 집단간의 비교와 이용자 집단간의 비교를 통한 비교실험을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 대학도서관의 정보기술 환경에 따른 도서관 정보기술 이용행태는 대체적으로 차이가 없으며 개인의 정보기술 이용능력에 따른 도서관 정보기술 이용행태는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

This study analyzed the characteristics of library service users' information seeking behavior based on the grounded theory methodology. After interviewing twelve undergraduate students, the researcher coded the data based on the grounded theory methodology. As a result of the entire coding processes, this study constructed the library service users' information seeking behavior model. According to the model, the following ten factors are important when explaining library service users' information seeking behavior: the information users' environment, other people, users' experiences, recognition of information sources, information provided, memory, a need-creating environment, information gathering, information use, and satisfaction and/or dissatisfaction.

This study aims to analyze students' information needs and information-seeking behavior at science schools for gifted through in-depth interviews. The research design was conducted based on previous studies. Through in-depth interviews, this study examined ten students from six out of eight science schools for the gifted in Korea for information needs and overall information-seeking behavior. The results showed the information needs of students at science schools for gifted in the areas of curricular and extracurricular activities as well as the information-seeking behavior in teaching, learning, and research activities, which were the main topics of interest to students based on the ISP model. Based on these results, we identified the preferred information sources in the information-seeking process and discussed the peculiarities and implications of students' information-seeking behavior. The research is meaningful as it can be used as a basis for further research on the science school for gifted library and as a resource for providing services for students with deep interests and talents in science subject areas.

This research reviews literature regarding information use behavior published during the period of 1970 to 2014 in Korea. It aims to identify the researchers' information use behavior in specialized fields and contributes to provide the effective information services based on users' needs. In order to do that, it reviews research papers that are associated with information use behavior by primarily examining the subjects, methods, variables, results, and suggestions of collected literature. It reveals some differences among researchers according to their fields, career, and status while researchers in various fields make appearance the change of information use up to digital environments. It is suggested that information services based on the users' characteristics should be provided.

각 지역특성에 맞는 ATIS사업이 실현되기 위해서는 각 지역 통행자들의 노선선택 및 전환행태를 정확히 파악하는 것이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 경상대를 연구대상으로 하여 대학출근운전자들의 노선선택 및 전환 행태를 정확히 파악하고 이들을 모형화하였다. 본 연구 대상지의 경우, 2개의 주 출근노선이 있으며 하나는 시내통행노선(노선 1)이고 다른 하나는 시외곽 통행노선(노선 2)이다. 노선1은 노선2에 비해 연장은 짧은 반면에 통행시간은 길며 신호교차로수. 우회전수도 많다. 먼저, 운전자의 노선선택행태모형을 통해 해석된 결과를 보면 시내노선에 대한 외곽노선의 상대적 효용이 아주 높으며, 전체적으로 출근운전자들은 짧은 통행시간을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 출근소요시간이 길고 라디오정보의 이용빈도가 높을수록 시내노선을 이용할 확률이 크며, 반면에 남성과 교직원인 운전자는 외곽노선을 이용할 확률이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 행태조사에 기초한 노선전환행태모형을 통해 해석된 결과를 보면 연령, 출근시간, 라디오정보의 이용빈도들이 전환성향에 유의한 영향을 가져오는 것으로 분석되었다. 가상의 교통정보제공시의 운전자의 노선전환을 모형화한 노선전환의사모형에서는 대개의 정보에 대해 운전자가 노선전환을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 모형에서 지체길이에 따른 전환경향을 보면 지체의 길이가 길수록 전환경향이 높아 30분정도의 지체길이에서는 반드시 변경하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구대상 운전자의 경우 전반적으로 기술적인 유고(Incident)정보보다는 정량적인 지체정보에 더 민감한 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the information behavior of Korean college students as related to their process of learning activities, and to provide the essential data for improving the service quality of Korean academic libraries. To the end, discussed in details are (1) classifying the everyday learning activities of college students into six types and finding out the special features of their information needs and seeking behavior, (2) figuring out the meanings and use-patterns of academic libraries in their everyday learning, and (3) developing the variables influencing their library use behavior and testing the relationship between such variables and library use behavior. The data were collected through a survey with 290 college students, and analyzed for both frequency test and Chi-square test for the discussion.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the middle-aged adults' mobile information behavior focused on their demographic characteristics. To achieve the aim of this study data were collected from 50 to 64 years old middle-aged adults who live in different size of cities and towns in Korea using self-designed questionnaire through online and offline survey. Gender, academic background, income level, size of residential zone, physical condition, and occupation were adopted as demographic characteristics, and type of mobile contents use, hour of mobile use, ability of mobile use, persistency of mobile use, and usability of mobile were used as the mobile information behavior in this study. Total of 191 valid data were analysed using SPSS Ver. 21. The results of this empirical study revealed that there exist a significant difference between some of their demographical characteristics (e.g., academic backgrounds, income level, and occupation) and mobile information behaviors particularly in their contents use.

본 연구는 한국과학기술정보연구원의 사업별 과학기술정보 수요와 이용 행태에 관한 기초연구로 산업계 및 학계의 과학기술 연구자 정보 이용 특성 및 이용 행태를 분석하여 한국과학기술정보연구원 (KISTI)의 주요 서비스에 고객 정보 이용 특성을 분석하는데 기초자료로 활용하고자 진행되었다. 본 연구를 위해 과학기술 정보 유통이 국가산업 생산력과 학술 연구의 경쟁력 기반이라는 사실을 인지하고 과학정보시스템 구축을 위한 기술정보정책을 수립하고 강화하는 노력이 계속되었으나 과학기술분야 연구자의 요구가 전문화되고 더운 세분화되고 전문화된 수준 높은 서비스를 요구된다고 본다. 또한 차별화된 정보서비스 제공을 위하여 이용자의 정보 이용형태와 특성 분석 및 기존 사용자 유형 분석을 통한 정보시스템 운영 개편이 필요하여 추진하였다.

This study was conducted as part of an effort to vitalize policy information services (POINT) of National Library of Korea, Sejong. The authors examined information behavior and policy information service use behavior of policy information users and checked if there are any differences in information behavior by participants' occupations (public officials, researchers, and librarians). We carried out an online survey and collected 331 completed survey responses. Overall, the most frequently used type of material was research report, followed by journal article and monograph, etc. The participants frequently used search engines and policy information services to acquire policy information. Also, 47.7% of the participants were aware of and had usage experience of POINT. Furthermore, we found statistically significant differences in some aspects of policy information behavior and in perceptions toward POINT across participants' occupations. These findings suggest that National Library of Korea, Sejong needs to improve their services based on a better understanding on target users.

법치주의 사회에서는 개인적으로 혹은 단체의 입장에서 모두 법률정보를 필요로 하지만, 특히 법률전문직에 종사하는 사람들은 그들의 사회적 임무와 역할이 법률과 관련되어 있으므로 더욱 강하게 법률정보를 필요로 한다. 이들에게 보다 효율적으로 법률정보를 제공하기 위하여는 정보시스템을 구축하는 것이 필요하고, 이 시스템은 이용자의 정보요구와 이용행태에 적합하도록 즉 이용자의 요구를 충분히 반영할 수 있는 내용을 수록하며, 이용자의 연구습관 및 연구행태 등을 고려하여 마련하여야 하므로, 법률전문직 종사자의 정보요구와 이용행태에 관한 조사는 적절한 시스템의 구축을 위한 선결조건이다. 따라서 본고에서는 법률전문직을 두 집단 즉 실무가 (판사, 검사, 변호사)와 학자(법학교수)로 나누어, 각 집단의 법률정보에 대한 태도, 정보요구와 이용행태의 패턴 및 법률정보원에 대한 태도에 관하여 조사한후, 두 집단의 정보에 관한 특성을 비교하였다. 그 조사결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 실무가와 학자 모두 그들의 연구를 위하여 주로 사용하는 것은 인쇄 자료로서의 판례집과 법령집이다. 그러나 이들 자료중에서 주로 이용되는 자료는 두 집단간에 차이를 보이고 있다. 2) 실무가와 학자 모두 일차자료들의 수록범위, 수록내용, 검색방법 등에 관하여 만족을 못하지만, 특히 검색방법에 대한 불만이 가장 크게 나타나고 있다. 이용자는 일반적으로 특정 주제어에 의하여 필요한 법률정보에 접근하기를 원하지만 이러한 요구를 충족시켜 주지 못한다. 3) 두 집단은 그들의 역할이 각기 다르므로 따라서 선호되는 법률정보의 종류에 대한 순서에 있어서 차이가 있다. 4) 도서관에 대한 태도에 있어서 두 집단은 상이한 입장을 보이고 있다. 학자들의 과반수는 중요 정보원으로서 자신의 개인장서를 활용하며, 도서관의 장서 및 그 조직방법에 대해서도 별로 만족하지를 못하고 있다. 반면에, 실무가들은 도서관에 대하여 비교적 만족하며 따라서 도서관에 대한 이용도도 높다. 5) 두 집단 모두 보조인을 적극적으로 활용하지 않으며 사서의 도움을 받는 경우도 극소수에 불과하다. 이러한 조사결과를 기초로 하여 볼 때 법률전문직을 둘러싼 정보환경을 개선하기 위하여는, 인쇄된 일차적 정보자료의 검색방법등을 개선하고, 나아가서는 법령과 판례정보를 위한 효율적인 시스템을 구축하며, 뿐만 아니라 이용자의 요구에 충분히 대처할 수 잇는 도서관으로 변화되는 것이다. 이와 함께 가장 중요한 것은 법과대학과 사법연수원에서 법학 연구방법에 관한 강좌를 개설하여 각종 법률정보원의 활용 내지 도서관 이용방법에 관하여 교육하는 것이다.
