The Influence of Shared Goal and Value of Information Security Policy: The Role of Demand-ability Fit and Person-organization Fit (정보보안 정책 목표 공유 및 가치의 영향: 요구-능력 적합성 및 개인-조직 적합성의 역할)

  • The escalating demand for organized information resource management within organizations necessitates increased investment in information security (IS), as a single error can lead to information exposure incidents, underscoring the importance of IS compliance by insiders. The research aims to elevate IS compliance within the organization by examining the influence of the shared goal of information security policy (ISP), perceived ISP value and individual's fits on an insider's intention to comply with the ISP. Antecedent research in organizational behavior and IS led to a proposed hypothesis, tested using 366 obtained samples. The ISP shared goal's positive influence on ISP compliance intentions was evident from the test results, primarily through the perceived ISP value. Furthermore, the person-organization and demand-ability fit moderated the antecedent factors associated with ISP compliance intentions. Our findings suggest the methods for sustaining organizational IS levels by examining the requisite conditions from the viewpoints of the organizational environment, ISP values, and fits.

Analysis of Standardization Level for Information Security Technology (정보보호 기술 개발 및 표준화 현황 분석)

  • As the hacking technology for cyber-terror and financial fraud evolves, the research and development for advanced and standardized information security technology is growing to be more and more important. In this paper, the domestic level of technology and standardization for information security as compared to advanced country is diagnosed, and future policy is presented by analyzing the influence effect for market and technology. The information security is classified into information security-based & user protection, network & system security, and application security & evaluation validation with details of OTP-based validation, smart-phone app security, and mobile electronic finance, etc. The analytic results indicate that domestic level is some poor for advanced country, the technological development and standardization capability for smart-phone app security and mobile electronic finance is needed, and finally the government's supporting policy for the future Internet is urgently needed.

  • It need estimation model who is efficient and estimate correctly organization's information security level to achieve effectively organization's information security target. Also, estimate class information security level for this and need reformable estimation indicator or standard and estimation methodology of information security systems that application is possible should be studied in our country. Therefore many research centers including ISO are preparing the measuring and evaluating method for network duality. This study will represent an evaluating model for network security based on checklist. In addition, we propose ah measuring and evaluating method for network performance. The purpose of two studies is to present the evaluating procedure and method for measuring security of network on set workwill be identified and a measuring method and procedure will be proposed.

  • 스마트그리드는 정보통신 기술과 전력망의 융합으로 탄생한 새로운 형태의 차세대 전력망으로, 전력공급의 중추인 스마트그리가 사이버 공격에 피해를 입으면 국가 전력마비와 같은 큰 피해를 입게 될 것이다. 실제 최근 전력망에 대한 사이버 공격 위협이 증가하고 있고 실제 공격 사례도 지속적으로 보고되는 등 스마트그리드에 대한 사이버 보안 위협은 간과할 수준의 것이 아니다. 이에 본 논문에서는 스마트그리드에 대한 사이버 보안 위협과 스마트그리드 사이버 보안성 강화를 위한 국내 외의 다양한 노력에 대하여 살펴보고, 국내 스마트그리드의 보안성 강화를 위해 향후 서둘러 수행해야 할 사이버 보안 대응 방안을 제시한다.

  • Many organizations operate security systems and manage them using the intergrated secutity management (ISM) dechnology to secyre their network environment effectively. But current ISM is passive and behaves post-event manner. To reduce cost and resource for managing security and to remove possbility of succeeding in attacks by intruder, the perventive security management technology is required. In this paper, we propose PRISM model that performs preventative security management with evaluating the security level of host or network and the sensitivity level of information asset from potential risks before security incidents occur. The PRISM can give concrete and effective security management in managing the current complex networks.

  • Dynamic (On-line) signature verification system consists of preprocessing, feature extraction, comparison and decision process for internal processing, and registration and verification windows for the user interface. We describe an implementation and design for an advanced dynamic signature verification system. Also, we suggest the method of feature extraction, matching algorithm, efficient user interface and an objective criteria for evaluating the performance.

  • Each organization installing and operating multimedia system, to achieve the goal of organization, should decide security level, implement security countermeasure, and manage these countermeasures to keep the effects. To decide and manage security level of multimedia system, the first, organizations must be able to decide security level, and then, organizations must establish procedures for building security countermeasures according to security level. For the next step, organizations must be able to select areas where security countermeasures should be applied, and the last, organizations must be able to evaluate and improve the effect of security countermeasures. In this paper, based on the analysis of threat to multimedia system and the consideration for multimedia assets, we propose a method for deciding security level of multimedia system.

  • If one analyzes recent cyber incidents including personal information infringement cases, it seems like actual attack is targeting Internet service providers but actually they are targeting Internet service users. For many users, all the services were not provided to them as they have signed for in the contract or personal informations, which users have provided to service providers when signing contracts, were disclosed to public without users' consent causing aftereffect. As a result, importance of S-SLA indexes, which is to be included in the SLA to be signed between a user and a service provider, is ever more increasing. Especially, if there is a S-SLA indexes for anti-virus services, service providers have to provide a high quality of service as they have signed in the SLA. However, there wasn't any researches in the S-SLA area domestically and there are only limited SLA indexes related to system or service maintenances at the moment. Therefore, this paper analyses security functions in anti-virus services and proposes S-SLA indexes for different security level.

  • u-헬스케어 서비스는 개인 의료 정보를 다루는 분야로서 단순한 건강 검진 및 치료의 수준을 넘어 생명과도 밀접한 관계가 있다. 개인 의료 정보 속성은 매우 민감하기 때문에 만약 개인 의료 정보가 불법적으로 노출되거나 악용될 경우 단순한 개인 프라이버시 침해뿐만 아니라 생명까지도 위협받을 수 있다. 이러한 이유로 안전한 개인 의료 정보 공유 및 인증방법이 가장 우선시 되어야 하며 보안성을 고려하여 u-헬스케어 시스템을 구축해야 한다. 또한 개인의 건강 정보에 대한 관리를 체계적으로 수행하여 의료 서비스기관에 의한 개인 의료 정보 남용을 방지하기 위해 보안 감사 시스템이 강화되어야 한다. 따라서 본고에서는 u-헬스케어 서비스와 관련된 다양한 보안 취약점 및 최신 정보보호 기술 동향에 관해 알아본다.

A Study on the Influence of Organizational Information Security Goal Setting and Justice on Security Policy Compliance Intention (조직의 정보보안 목표 설정과 공정성이 보안정책 준수의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The threat to information security is growing globally. To this, organizations are increasing the weight of adapting and operating the more specialized information security policy and system. Information security requires participation from the employees who execute the security system and policy, and to increase the level of organization's internal security, requires organization's systematic support to improve employees' information security compliance intention. This research finds the mechanism for improving employee's information security compliance intention by applying justice theory and goal setting theory in information security. We use structural equation modeling to verify the research hypothesis, and conducted a survey on the employees of organization with information security policy. In other words, this research performs verification of the research model based hypothesis which claims that security policy goal setting has positive influence on employee's level of security related justice recognition, and claims that justice has positive influence on compliance intention. The object of study is the employees of the organization that adapts information security policy, and 383 valid samples were collected via survey. Structural equation modeling was performed to verify the research hypothesis. The result shows that security policy goal factor (goal difficulty, goal specificity) improves employee's security related justice recognition, and that security related justice (distribution, process, and information justice) has positive influence on compliance intention. The result suggests the strategic approach directions for improving employees' compliance intention on organization's security policy.
