  • Security threats such as unauthorized access and data tampering can occur during the virtual machine migration process. In particular, since virtual machine migration requires users to transfer important data and infrastructure information, it is relatively risky to other cloud services in case of security threats. For this reason, there is a need for dynamic authentication for virtual machine migration. Therefore, this paper proposes an OTP-based dynamic authentication framework to improve the vulnerabilities of the existing authentication mechanism for virtual machine migration. It consists of a virtual machine migration request module and an operation module. The request module includes an OTP-based user authentication process and a migration request process to a data center when a user requests a migration. The operation module includes a secure key exchange process between the data centers using SPEKE and a TOTP-based mutual authentication process between the data center and the physical server.

  • Recently, through the emergence and convergence of Internet services, the unified Internet of thing(IoT) service platform have been researched. Currently, the IoT service is constructed as an independent system according to the purpose of the service provider, so information exchange and module reuse are impossible among similar services. In this paper, we propose a operation based service classification algorithm for various services in order to provide an environment of unfied Internet platform. In implementation, we classify and cluster more than 100 commercial IoT services. Based on this, we evaluated the performance of the proposed algorithm compared with the K-means algorithm. In order to prevent a single clustering due to the lack of sample groups, we re-cluster them using K-means algorithm. In future study, we will expand existing service sample groups and use the currently implemented classification system on Apache Spark for faster and more massive data processing.

  • The Mobile Ad-hoc network does environmental information which an individual collects in nodes which are many as the kernel of the USN technology based on the radio communication. And it is the latest network description delivering critical data to the destination location desiring through a multi-hop. Recently, the Ad-hoc network relative technique development and service are activated. But the security function implementation including an authentication and encoding about the transmitted packets, and etc, is wirelessly the insufficient situation on the Ad-hoc network. This paper provides the security service of key exchange, key management. entity authentication, data enciphering, and etc on the Mobile Ad-hoc network. It implements with the Ad-hoc network security management server system design which processes the security protocol specialized in the Ad-hoc network and which it manages.

  • Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETS) have enabled to provide a variety of applications such as accident notification, content usage, etc. These applications have spatio-temporal data which have an interesting region and a lifetime according to their properties. However, geocasting protocols to deliver data to an interesting region can provide data to all vehicles in the region through a single transmission only at the current time, but cannot provide data to vehicles passing through the region during the lifetime of the data. Thus, we propose a spatio-temporal geocasting protocol called STGP using a regional caching scheme to send data to vehicles in an interesting region during a data lifetime in VANETs. For efficient and reliable regional caching, the proposed protocol uses the beacon-based data sharing, the extra caching elimination, and the distance-based caching exchange. Simulation results verify that the proposed protocol achieves more reliable and efficient data delivery compared with the existing protocol.

  • The design of data processing of GIS requires efficient method with analysis procedure. This system is easy to be used and managed for presenting route according to conditions as a graphic user interface environmental window system by applying three tiers based object-oriented method. The tier of data is in charge of a class for the exchange, extraction and conservation of data between GeoMedia and application tiers. A route selection algorithm was applied to application tiers, considering all conditions which are necessary for the route selection between a beginning point and an end point, and it was added by module such as data handing, road condition, buffering, clothoid and AHP to select the alternative route followed by new condition. The user tier can express the data acquired by an application tier. Thus three tiers based architecture was presented by implementing design of GIB data processing for its efficiency.

  • Variable Message Format(VMF) is a communications protocol that allows computers to exchange tactical military information over low-data-rate bearers. VMF is designed to define message length and structure variably in order to allow the user to transmit only the relevant information by using indicators. However, flexibility of messages makes it difficult to analyze messages structure and figure out meanings. Furthermore, whenever messages are added or modified, message processing software should be updated and distributed to systems. In this paper, we propose a systematic approach to defining VMF messages that uses the international standard notation ASN.1. By describing VMF messages in ASN.1, protocol architects can deal with VMF messages accurately and conveniently, and use various ASN.1 tool. This paper develops ASN.1 description templates for VMF message segments, and presents an approach to describing VMF messages in ASN.1 by combining the templates.

  • Electronic check schemes are more efficient than electronic coin scheme with respect to computational costs and the amount of information exchanged. In spite of these, difficulties in making a refund reusable and in representing the face value of a check have discouraged its development. In this paper, a new online electronic check system is presented, which solves the above problems. This system uses the partially blind signature to provide user anonymity and to represent the face value of a check. The partially blind signature enables us to make the format of refunds and initially withdrawn checks identical. Thus, it allows refunds to be reused to buy goods without any limitatiosn. Both initially withdrawn checks and refunds in our system guarantee untraceability as well as unlinkability. We also use a one-time secret key as the serial number of a check to increase the efficiency of payments. The presented check system also provides multiple offline shopping sessions to minimize the number of online messages handled by a bank. During the multiple offline shopping session, we use a one-way accumulator to provide non-repudiation service. We also analyze our new systems our new system\`s security, efficiency, and atomicity.

  • With advances in autonomous vehicles and networked control, there is a growing interest in the consensus control of a multi-agents system to control multi-agents with distributed control beyond the control of a single agent. Since consensus control is a distributed control, it is bound to have delay in a practical system. In addition, it is often difficult to have a very accurate mathematical model for a system. Even though a reinforcement learning (RL) method was developed to deal with these issues, it often experiences slow convergence in the presence of large uncertainties. Thus, we propose a slide RL which combines the sliding mode control with RL to be robust to the uncertainties. The structure of a sliding mode control is introduced to the action in RL while an auxiliary sliding variable is included in the state information. Numerical simulation results show that the slide RL provides comparable performance to the model-based consensus control in the presence of unknown time-varying delay and disturbance while outperforming existing state-of-the-art RL-based consensus algorithms.

  • Chaos is one of the most significant topics in nonlinear science, and has been intensively studied since the Lorenz system was introduced. One characteristic of a chaotic system is that the signals produced by it do not synchronize with any other system. It therefore seems impossible for two chaotic systems to synchronize with each other, but if the two systems exchange information in just the right way, they can synchronize. This paper addresses the problem of synchronization in a modified Lorenz chaotic system based on active control, sliding mode control, and the Lyapunov stability theory. The considered synchronization scheme consists of identical drive and response generalized systems coupled with linear state error variables. For this, a brief overview of the modified Lorenz chaotic system is given. Then, control rules are derived for chaos synchronization via active control and slide mode control theory, with a strategy for solving the chattering problem. The asymptotic stability of the overall feedback system is established using the Lyapunov stability theory. A set of computer simulation works is presented graphically to confirm the validity of the proposed method.
