This is a user study of the public access to the Internet at public libraries in Busan and Kyungnam province. The mainstream of users was identified as a typical 'information rich'. It was found that public libraries were not successful in leading the traditional non-users into the libraries with public access to the Internet in libraries. For users the most attractive feature of the service was the fact that it was given for free, while they were not value the professional guidance of librarians. Upgrade of hardwares and telecommunication infrastructure was at the highest priority of the users want list, Some strategies for the public access to the Internet at public libraries were proposed.

A place for the blind people movement restrictions in place on a relatively equal opportunity of education can not be provided. In this paper, blind people, as well as web access to information on the catch of the blind people and their preference for acquiring information on how to analyze the survey and analyze national and international stories. targeting the blind people Internet using Web Services in a high-speed network system design, training and support services, analyze and exchange information in real-time training program to develop a community, remote from the home education support system to revitalize blind people and would like to contribute to the information service.

Organizations are investing in information systems for an ever-increasing number of end-user tasks. Extracting benefit from these investments increasingly depends on supporting effective use or information center and satisfying information center users. Information center is information intensive and the use of advanced technology may support user for delivering an unique capabilities in an organization. Information center represents an important source which seems very well suited for end-users support investigation. This research explores the end-user support factors that correlate with user satisfaction in information center. To exam user satisfaction, information supporting, service reliability, and system capabilities were identified as potential predictors of end-user support satisfaction at information center. Three hypotheses have been tested with the survey or 252 end-users examines 18 potential end-user support factors such as information supporting, service staff attitude, and system capabilities at information center. Service quality gap between perceived Importance and performance for each support factor, is computed. The relationship between these service quality gaps and user satisfaction are tested. This study presents that the level of information supporting, service reliability, and system capabilities are significantly to user satisfaction, and it is influenced by the extent of service quality gap between perceived importance and performance for each support tactor.

This study intends to portray the everyday lives of senior citizens in Busan metro area in terms of the information use and behaviors. Employing basic qualitative data collection tools such as interviews and participant observation, the study attempts to illustrate information needs and behaviors of the aged population in their everyday lives. This paper specifically focuses on the following characteristics of information need and information-related behavior of the aged: types of everyday concerns and ways to cope with such concerns: information literacy levels and motives to get information literacy education: and characteristics of information channels of everyday information seeking and information gathering. The role that interpersonal sources play in their everyday lives has been emphasized. Some suggestions to enhance the levels of information literacy of the aged were added as conclusions.

The purpose of this study is to investigate and evaluate the characteristics of information consumption between rural and urban residents. In this study, the data were collected through a survey and in-depth interview consisting of 121 information consumption questions for the residents of 15 cities and rural areas located in Jilin Province, China, and 985 effective responses were analyzed using SPSS 23.0. Analysis of information consumption characteristics by age, type of household and gender for urban and rural residents showed that there was a large interaction between age and gender, age and type of household, type of household and gender. This study can contribute to narrowing the information service gap between urban and rural residents and utilizing the potential of information consumption. The study is limited to analyzing only residents of Jilin Province in China and needs to expand the scope of future investigations.

본 연구의 목적은 결혼 이주 여성의 디지털 정보화 변화 만족도에 미치는 영향을 탐색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 2022년 실시한 디지털정보격차 실태조사 자료 중 결혼이주여성 응답을 SPSS 25.0 통계프로그램을 활용하여 영향 관계를 분석하였다. 결과, 첫째, 결혼 기간이 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 스마트폰 이용일수가 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 디지털 정보화기기 활용 역량 중 PC 활용 능력은 부(-)적 영향을 미쳤고, 모바일기기 활용 능력은 정(+)적 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 디지털 정보활용 역량 중 취미여가에 활용은 결혼 이주 여성의 디지털 정보화 변화 만족도에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 디지털 사회자본 중 가교형 사회자본이 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 디지털 정보화 자기효능감은 결혼 이주 여성의 디지털 정보화 변화 만족도에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

The development of information technology has been expected to change the living style and upgrade the living environment. These expectations are somewhat realized, but there are certain groups that will be less benefitted by these upgrades compared to other groups. These phenomena are called digital divide, which is the latest Issue around the world these days. There are several factors that raise digital divide such as gender, education, job, age, income and region. In Korea, the most critical factor may be considered as region but so far this has only been assumed and there has been no empirical surveys about this. This study is proposed to survey the remote rural areas to find out the actual situations of digital divide compared to the urban areas in Korea. And the results will be used as a basic data to make strategies and policies in order to improve the rural living environments.

본 논문은 한국고용정보원의 '대졸자 직업이동경로조사(2007)' 자료를 활용하여 청년 고학력자의 성별 노동시장 차별이 존재하는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 청년 고학력층은 경력단절, 육아와 가사부담에 따른 노동시장 차별을 비교적 덜 받을 것으로 예상된다는 점에서 이들 집단에서의 차별 존재는 최근 노동시장 문제를 파악하는 데 있어 매우 중요한 의미가 있다. 우리는 성별 노동시장 차별을 분석하기 위해서 차별에 관한 실증분석 방법으로 일반적으로 많이 사용되는 오하카 요인분해 모형을 활용하였다. 특히 고용차별을 확인하기 위해서 이항선택 모형에 적용한 요인분해 분석방법을 활용하였다. 전반적인 결론은 청년층 고학력자 여성들도 청년층 고학력자 남성에 비해 고용 및 임금차별을 경험한다는 것이다. 특히 본 연구에서는 성별 임금차별 뿐만 아니라 비정규고용 및 비공식고용과 같은 고용형태상의 차별도 확인할 수 있었다. 연령, 4년제졸 여부, 결혼여부가 성별 고용 및 임금격차를 초래하는 주요 요인으로 분석되었다.

Hwangdun is a remote rural village in Korea, located in the montane central part of the nation. In the early of 2000, the provincial government of Kangwon-do designated Hwangdun as a model E-village. The village was connected to the national information backbone network, and 100 personal computers and 66 Internet TVs were distributed among the villagers for free of charge. The village center too was turned to a ‘tele-cottage’harnessed with PCs, a kiosk and peripheral devices. The Hwangdun E-village, being the first case of its kind in Korea, has drawn much attention nationwide, and has triggered similar informatization investments in a number of rural areas. The present study conducted a survey in the early of 2001 to examine what the E-village Project has meant for the people in Hwangdun. In particular, the survey focused on the characteristics of the households having computers and of the computer users, the ways in which people use their computers, the kinds of problems and difficulties the users have faced, and the changes of Hwangdun after the introduction of computers to the village. This paper describes the major findings of the study and discusses the research and policy implications of those findings.

The purpose of the study was to examine the implications for new strategical policy on promoting lifelong learning in ubiquitous society by gathering the views and ideas of experts. We interviewed with 15 experts in the fields of ubiquitous learning and technology. In the result, we found the following pre-requisites in promoting lifelong learning in ubiquitous society: 1) consensus regarding the ubiquitous society, 2) infra structure and various services, 3) contents based on the citizens' needs, 4) information gap closing, and 5) law and institutions in terms of lifelong learning in ubiquitous society.
