In-Situ Evaluation Technique for Hydraulic Conductivity in Excavation Disturbed Zone (EDZ) (굴착영향영역(EDZ) 투수특성의 실험적 평가기술)

  • In this paper, in-situ technique for measuring hydraulic conductivity of Excavation Disturbed Zone (EDZ) in a direct way and its application to an Underground Research Laboratory (URL) site were introduced. It was understood that both the EDZ oriented test equipment as a hardware and analysis/evaluation technique as a software should be integrated for upgrading a quality of estimated EDZ hydraulic conductivity. The well-estimated EDZ hydraulic conductivity is expected to enhance a reliability of stability evaluation for caverns under groundwater table and design of a waterproof or drainage system as well as a grout system.

System Development of Precision Vision Measurement Using Fuzzy C-Means Algorithm (Fuzzy C-Means를 이용한 정밀 영상측정 시스템 개발)

  • The measuring systems of auto-parts are most of greater part very expensive. This paper tries to study to make a low-cost measuring equipment there's several kinds of parts in automobile. In this study, we take aircon-switch called magnet coil-housing as the object of measurements. The measurements of this product is currently in difficult situations at factory. In the case of the mesuring objects being big sizes and camera sensor having under 410000 pixels, the key point is the number of pixels not to be changed whenever the same object is measured under the same position. We modified and used fuzzy c-means algorithm to get mostly without the change of the numbers of pixels exactly. Also, the standardized ruler is necessary to measure the length of the object but it is not easy to get the precised ruler. Therefore, the standard length has been taken as the mean value of the pixels in the previous passed objects manually obtained at factory. The results are displayed on monitor and transferred these signals to the microprocessor through RSC-232 port to determine a good or bad of products.

  • Precise visual measurement applications, like video measuring system (VMS), use camera systems with motorized zoom lens for fast and efficient measurement. In this paper, we introduce an efficient calibration method for zoom lens of VMS controlled by servo motor. For the automated zoom lens calibration of the VMS, only zoom lens setting needs to be calibrated and parameters calibrated by zoom lens settings are image center and pixel size changed by zoom levels, The extrinsic parameters, like focus and iris, do not need to be calibrated since the parameters are usually fixed, It needs a lot of time and effort to calibrate the camera for ali the different zoom levels. In this paper, we also propose an efficient and fast zoom lens calibration method, which calculates the calibration parameters of the zoom lens settings for the minimum number of zoom levels and estimates other parameters for the uncalculated zoom levels using the interpolation of the calculated parameter values.

  • In the recent parking assistant systems, finding out the distance to the object behind a car is often performed by the range sensors such as ultrasonic sensors, radars. However, the installation of additional sensors on the used vehicle could be difficult and require extra cost. On the other hand, the motion stereo technique that extracts distance information using only an image sensor was also proposed. However, In the stereo rectification step, the motion stereo requires good features and exacts matching result. In this paper, we propose a fast algorithm that extracts the accurate distance information for the parallel parking situation using the consecutive images that is acquired by a rear-view camera. The proposed algorithm uses the quadrangle transform of the image, the horizontal line integral projection, and the blocking-based correlation measurement. In the experiment with the magna parallel test sequence, the result shows that the line-accurate distance measurement with the image sequence from the rear-view camera is possible.

  • This paper presents a novel technology for unattented continuous monitoring of radioactive material in hot cell environments. In this monitoring system, the surveillance camera data and NDA data are time synchronized and integrated into the same dimension through data processing. The integrated information is then fed into a neural network to generate diagnostics through data processing. the integrated information of the concept is tested for a spent nuclear fuel transprotation in an operational hot cell at KAERI. The presented integral part of the multi-sensory system and the analytical paradigm may provide an effective technologyical alternative for safeguarding new conceptual hot cell facilities, namely the Dupic facility.

  • The most important thing in measuring the tool wear is to set up the measurement base. The end mill that is being used for machining is difficult to set up the base and to measure the tool wear because of geometric properties of that such as a helix and relief angle. In this study, a new instrument using spindle orientation function in end milling is developed to measure tool wear and evaluated by measuring system on the machine. Finally, this new method makes possible the wear measurement of same position and reduces measuring time compared with measuring methods such as the microscope and CCD.

  • The vibration environment essentially companied by vehicle operation on the road is determined by the shape of road surface, which is called profile. In general, the profile and severity of unpaved road is an important issue in the reliability of durability test for vehicles. In order to maintain severity of unpaved road, it is necessary to develop profilometer system. We developed profilometer system which is composed of data processing computer, power unit, air compressor and sensors. This paper focuses on the severity management of unpaved test courses using neural networks. This paper presents the maintenance range for cross-country course in CPG(Chang-won Proving Ground) and the evaluation of similarity degree between unpaved roads.

  • 평면 광 신호 분리기와 광 케이블의 정밀결합을 위하여 V-groove를 제작하였다. V-groove 는 실리콘웨이퍼 (100) 면을 KOH 용액으로 선택적 습식 식각하여 제작되었다. V-groove 를 효과적으로 제작하기 위하여 KOH 의 조성 (10, 20, 30, 33, 40 wt%)과 온도 (50, 60, 70, $80^{\circ}C$)를 변화시켜 식각률과 표면조도를 측정하였다. 식각률은 $80^{\circ}C$에서 20 wt.% KOH 로 식각했을 경우 $1.84{\mu}m/min$ 로 가장 빨랐으며, 표면조도는 $80^{\circ}C$에서 33 wt.% KOH로 식각했을 경우 1.6nm로 가장 양호하였다.

  • 하천의 하구에서는 해수의 흐름에 따른 연안토사의 이동과 하천유황에 따른 상류에서의 토사량에 따라 하상이 변화한다. 특히 하구부에서의 퇴적토사 증가는 하천의 수질변화와 어도단절 등으로 인해 하천환경에 악영향을 끼칠 수 있는 하구폐쇄를 발생시킬 수 있어 이에 따른 모니터링이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 동해안으로 유출되는 지방 1급 하천인 가곡천과 호산천을 대상으로 하구부 퇴적토사의 변화를 모니터링 하였다. 하상변화의 모니터링은 최신장비인 지상 LiDAR를 이용하여 다시기로 스캔한 지상 LiDAR 측정자료를 활용하여 퇴적량을 산출하고 퇴적과 침식의 변화양상을 분석하였다. 분석결과 퇴적지점과 침식지점 및 이에 대한 체적량 변화를 정밀하게 확인할 수 있었다. 지상 LiDAR를 활용한 하상변화 분석기법은 정밀한 퇴적량 추이를 빠르게 관찰할 수 있어 하구지역 뿐만 아니라 하천 전반에서의 하상변화를 조사하는 데에 있어 활용도가 높을 것으로 판단된다.
