리니어모터 스테이지 진직도 향상을 위한 서보 시스템 개발 (Development of Servo-system for Straightness Improvement of Linear Motor Stage)

  • In this paper a servo-system is developed to improve straightness of linear motor stages. When a linear motor stage is used for high-precision linear motion systems, high precision straightness accuracy is necessary to meet the required position accuracy. In such cases, machining and assembling cost increases to improve the straightness accuracy. An electro-magnetic actuator which is relatively cost effective than any other conventional servo-systems is suggested to compensate the fixed straightness error. To overcome the compensation error due to the friction, a sliding mode control is applied. The effectiveness of the suggested mechanism and the control performance are illustrated along with some experimental results.

추가 이동 질량을 이용한 선형 모터용 반발력 보상 기구 (A Passive Reaction Force Compensation Mechanism for a Linear Motor Motion Stage using an Additional Movable Mass)

  • Reaction force compensation (RFC) mechanism can relieve the vibration of base system caused by acceleration and deceleration of mover. In this paper, we propose a new passive RFC mechanism with a movable additional mass to reduce vibration of the system base as well as displacement of the magnet track. First, equation of motion for the new passive RFC mechanism is derived and simulated to tune design parameters such as masses and spring coefficients. Simulation results show that the vibration of the system base of the stage with the new RFC mechanism.

  • 반도체의 고집적화와 LCD의 대형화로 인해 웨이퍼 및 LCD 검사용 스테이지의 성능 향상이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 고속의 검사속도, 서브마이크론의 검사 정밀도, 그리고 대행정 구동을 위한 이중 서보 시스템을 제안하였다. 이중 서보 시스템은 선형모터로 구동되고 공기베어링으로 가이드 되는 조동 구동부와 보이스 코일 모터(VCM)로 구동되고 공기베어링으로 가이드 되는 미세 구동부로 구성된다. 검사 효율을 향상시키기 위한 고속 세틀링을 위한 제어기로서 시간 최적 제어 기법과 시간 지연 제어기를 결합한 모드 변경 제어기를 제안하고 이중 서보 시스템에 구현하여 성능을 평가하였다.

  • This paper suggests a precision positioning control technique of a precision positioning stage with coupling effects. The precision positioning stage is supported by four flexible spring hinges and driven by two piezoelectric actuators. The dynamic characteristics of the precision positioning stage is modeled and identified by the FEM analysis. The dynamic characteristics of the stage are also identified by the frequency domain modeling technique based on the experimental data. Reliability of two modeling methods is examined by comparing the numerically and experimentally produced responses of the stage. This paper proposes a sliding mode control technique with integrator to improve the tracking ability of the precision positioning stage to the complex input signal using. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed modeling schemes and control algorithm, experiment validations are performed.

  • Micro-stereolithography is a newly proposed technology as a means that can fabricate 3D micro-structures of free form. It makes a 3D structure by dividing the shape into many slices of relevant thickness along honzontal surfaces, hardening each layer of slice with a laser, and stacking them up to a des~red shape. Scale effect becomes important in this micro-fabrication process, d~fferently from the conventional stereolithography. To realize this micro-stereolithography technology, we developed an equipment using Ar+ laser, xyz stages, controllers and all the optic devices. Using the equipment, a number of micro-structures were successfully fabricated including a winecup of several tens of micrometers.

  • In this paper we developed flip-chip bonder using XY stage, liner-rotary actuator and vision system. We depicted the major parts of the developed flip-chip bonder. Then we discussed several problems and their solutions such as vision and motion control, pick-up module position accuracy, separation of chip from the blue taped hoop, etc. We used a post guide to improve the horizontal positional accuracy against the long arm. Also, we used an ejector module and synchronization technique for easy chip separation from the blue tape.

  • Miniaturized machine tool can be used to produce 3D features based on CNC and PC-NC technology in the micro/meso scale. Wide applications of CNC technology are developed and there are lots of know-hows in the cutting process and their CNC application. It helps micro/meso scale structure to machine components, which can be used directly for practical applications. In the present research, as the machine tool is miniaturized, the manufacturing machine tools costs less when compared to the equipment used in other micromachining technologies. Moreover, with advancement of micro tool technology, the cutting process can be used to produce micro/meso scale parts. In conclusion, the proposed system can reduce the cost by utilizing the current machining technology, and as a result, complex micro/meso parts can be produced efficiently with high productivity.

전자기 구동장치를 이용한 병렬형 6자유도 스테이지의 위치제어 (A Position Control for a Parallel Stage with 6 degrees of freedom Using Magnetic Actuators)

  • In this paper, we address a position control for a parallel stage, which is levitated and driven by electric magnetic force. This consists of a levitating object (called platen) with 4 permanent magnetic linear synchronous motors in parallel. Each motor generates vertical force for suspension against gravity and propulsion force horizontally as well. This stage can generate six degrees of freedom motion by the vertical and horizontal force. A dynamic equation of the stage system is derived based on Newton-Euler method and it's special Jacobian matrix describing a relation between the limited velocity and Cartesian velocity is done. There are proposed two control methods for positioning which are Cartesian space controller and Actuator space controller. The control performance of the Cartesian space controller is better than the Actuator space controller in task space trajectory while the Actuator space controller is simpler than the Cartesian space controller in controller realization.

  • This paper proposes an optimal design for a precision motion stage employing a parallelogram flexure hinge. The voltage applied to the piezo element produces motion that is amplified through a 3-stage amplification structure. Especially, instead of the generally used conic section flexure hinge a parallelogram shaped flexure hinge is used that improves the flexibility of the lever. An Finite Element Analysis is performed on each motion stage lever where optimal design was achieved using Response Surface Methodology(RSM).

봉상 초음파 리니어 모터의 정밀 위치제어 특성 (Precision Control of Ultrasonic Linear Motor)

  • 반도체산업과 광산업 분야에서 고정도의 위치제어 및 고출력 구동이 가능한 초음파 리니어 모터 시스템의 개발을 목표로, 최대 출력 75N, 위치제어 정밀도 100nm의 고출력, 고정도 구동 시스템을 제안해 왔다. 본 연구는 nm order의 위치제어와 구동 안정성 향상을 위해 종래 시스템의 지지부 및 제어 시스템을 개선하였다. 개선된 PID 피드백 제어시스템을 구성하여, 6kg의 스테이지를 step 구동을 수행하여 위치 분해능 20nm, 속도 70mm/s로 왕복구동을 수행하여 20nm의 위치제어를 달성하였다.
