Stochastic Method of Relay Node Selection for Efficient Message Forward in DTN (DTN에서 효율적인 메시지 전달을 위한 확률적 중계 노드 선택 기법)

  • 본 논문에서는 DTN(Delay Tolerant Network) 환경에서 효율적인 메시지 전달을 위해 확률적으로 중계 노드를 선택하는 기법을 제안한다. DTN은 종단 간 연결이 불확실한 네트워크에서의 통신을 Store-Carry-Forward 방식을 사용하여 메시지를 목적 노드에 전달한다. 또한 종단 간 연결이 불확실한 상황에서도 중계 노드를 통해 메시지를 목적 노드에 전달하여 높은 전송률을 보장한다. 하지만 에피데믹(Epidemic) 라우팅이나 Spray and Wait 라우팅과 같은 기존 다중 복사 라우팅 알고리즘은 접촉한 모든 노드에게 메시지를 복사하여 메시지 복사로 인한 오버헤드가 높아진다. 반면에 PROPHET 라우팅과 같은 단일 복사 알고리즘은 적은 오버헤드를 발생시키지만 중계 노드 수 감소로 인한 메시지 전송률 감소 현상이 나타난다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 알고리즘은 기존 DTN 라우팅의 문제점을 보완하기 위해 확률적으로 노드 분포를 분석하여 현재 네트워크에 효율적인 메시지 복사 방식을 선택하여 작동한다. 본 논문에서는 제안하는 알고리즘이 기존 DTN 라우팅 알고리즘과 오버헤드와 전송률을 비교하여 더 효율적임을 증명한다.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm that analyzes characteristic nodes to select efficient relay nodes using message distribution. Existing delay-tolerant network (DTN) routing algorithms have problems with large latency and overhead on account of the deficiency of network information in an unsteady network. We must solve this problem, predict future networks using node state information, and apply a weight factor that changes according to the message distribution. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm provides enhanced performance compared to existing DTN routing algorithms.

  • RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is one of the most promising air interface technologies in the future for object identification using radio wave. If there are multiple tags within the range of the RFID tag reader, all tags send their tag identifications to the reader at the same time in response to the reader's query. This causes collisions on the reader and no tag is identified. A multi-tag identification problem is a core issue in the RFID. It can be solved by anti-collision algorithm such as slot based ALHOA algorithms and tree based algorithms. This paper, proposes a collision tree based anti-collision algorithm using collision tree in RFID system. It is a memory-less algorithm and is an efficient RFID anti-collision mechanism. The collision tree is a mechanism that can solve multi-tag identification problem. It is created in the process of querying and responding between the reader and tags. If the reader broadcasts K bits of prefix to multiple tags, all tags with the identifications matching the prefix transmit the reader the identifications consisted of k+1 bit to last. According to the simulation result, a proposed collision tree based anti-collision algorithm shows a better performance compared to tree working algorithm and query tree algorithm.

  • RFID, Radio Frequency Identification, is a technology of automated identification replacing bar-code. RFID technology has advantages that it recognizes fast and it is strong to contamination using wireless communication. However, there are difficult problems that should be solved for popularization of RFID. Among of these, tag anti-collision problem is dealed in this paper. It affected the performance of RFID system directly. This paper analyzes conventional algorithms and proposes new algorithms of tag anti-collision. The algorithm proposed was composed of appropriate properties to each phase of distribution and recognition as hybrid between ALOHA-based algorithm and QT-based algorithm. At phase of distribution, the number of tags recognizing at a frame was reduced using ALOHA-based algorithm. It addressed the delay problem because of deep depth of tree. At phase of recognition, it solved ALOHA-based chronic problem that couldn't recognize all the tags sometimes. Moreover, QTR algorithm that recognize by reversed tag IDs was adopted for the performance. The FQTR algorithm proposed in this paper showed brilliant performance as compared with convention algorithms by simulation.

A Study on the Tree based Memoryless Anti-Collision Algorithm for RFID Systems (RFID 시스템에서의 트리 기반 메모리래스 충돌방지 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • RFID(Radio frequency IDentification) is a technology that automatically identifies objects containing the electronic tags by using radio wave. The multi-tag identification problem is the core issue in the RFID and could be resolved by the anti-collision algorithm. However, most of the existing anti-collision algorithms have a problem of heavy implementation cost and low performance. In this paper. we propose a new tree based memoryless anti-collision algorithm called a collision tracking tree algorithm and presents its performance evaluation results obtained by simulation. The Collision Tracking Tree algorithm proves itself the capability of an identification rate of 749 tags per second and the performance evaluation results also show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the other two existing tree-based memoryless algorithms, i.e., the tree-walking algorithm and the query tree algorithm about 49 and 2.4 times respectively.

  • Kinematic contact trigger probes are widely used for feature inspection and measurement on coordinate measurement machines (CMMs) and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Recently, the probing accuracy has become one of the most important factors in the improvement of product quality, as the accuracy of such machining centers and measuring machines is increasing. Although high-accuracy probes using strain gauge can achieve this requirement, in this paper we study the universal economic kinematic contact probe to prove its probing mechanism and errors, and to try to make the best use of its performance. Stylus-ball-radius and center-alignment errors are proved, and the probing error mechanism on the 3D measuring coordinate is analyzed using numerical expressions. Macro algorithms are developed for the compensation of these errors, and actual tests and verifications are performed with a kinematic contact trigger probe and reference sphere on a CNC machine tool.

  • Magnetic Suspension and Balance System (MSBS) demonstrates the capacity to levitate an experimental model absent any mechanical contact using magnetic forces and moments. It allows precise control of position and attitude of the model, and measures external forces and moments acting on the model. For the purpose of acquisition of reliable experimental results under stable and safe conditions, the performance and robustness of the position and attitude control system of MSBS needs to be improved. To this end, Iterative Feedback Tuning (IFT) and L1 adaptive output feedback algorithm were employed to automatically increase command following performance and to ensure robust operation of MSBS with failure of electric power supply. The applicability was validated using computational simulation.

  • In this paper, we propose a new object representation method and matching algorithm for object recognition using a 3-fingered robot hand. Each finger tip can measure normal vector and shapes of a contacting surface. Object is represented by the inter-surface description table where the features of a surface are described in the diagonal and the relations between two surfaces are in the upper diagonal. Based on this table, a fast and the efficient matching algorithm has been proposed. This algorithm can be applied to natural quadric objects.

  • 조향성능은 완성된 자동차를 평가하는 아주 중요한 요소이며, 운전자에게 직접적인 영향을 가지는 까닭으로 우선적으로 해결되어야 할 문제이다. 자동차의 조향성능과 관련된 자동차 요소로는 프런트 샤시 모듈이 있으며, 프런트 샤시 모듈의 자세는 구성 요소인 서브프레임의 조립자세에 의하여 결정된다. 서브프레임은 4개의 원통형 지지부로 이루어져 있으며, 차체와의 조립시 지지부에 물리적 접촉이 발생한다. 즉 공간상에서 서브프레임의 자세는 지지부의 조립위치에 의하여 결정이 되며, 서브프레임의 자세를 결정하기 위해서는 지지부에 대한 적절한 해석이 필요하다.(중략)
