Reliability Analysis of Fuzzy Systems Based on Interval Valued Vague Sets (구간값 모호집합에 기반을 둔 퍼지시스템의 신뢰도 분석)

  • In order to analyze the reliabilities of the fuzzy systems, the reliabilities of the components in the fuzzy systems are represented by real values between zero and one, fuzzy numbers, intervals of confidence, vague sets, interval valued fuzzy sets, etc in the conventional researches. In this paper, we propose a method to represent and analyze the reliabilities of the fuzzy systems based on the interval valued vague sets defined in the universe of discourse [0, 1]. In the interval valued vague sets, the upper bounds and the lower bounds of the conventional vague sets[12, 14] are represented as the intervals. Therefore, it can allow the reliabilities of a fuzzy system to represent and analyze in a more flexible manner. Because the proposed method uses the simplified arithmetic operations of the fuzzy triangular numbers rather than the complicated of the fuzzy trapezoidal numbers mentioned by Kumar[14], the execution of the proposed method is faster than the one.

An Efficient Anchor Range Extracting Algorithm for The Unit Structuring of News Data (뉴스 정보의 단위 구조화를 위한 효율적인 앵커구간 추출 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes an efficient algorithm extracting anchor ranges that exist in news video for the unit structuring of news. To this purpose, this paper uses anchors face in the frame rather than the cuts where the scene changes are occurred. In anchor range, we find the end position (frame) of anchor range with the FRFD(Face Region Frame Difference). On the other hand, in not-anchor range, we find the start position of anchor range by extracting anchors face. The process of extracting anchors face is consists of two parts to enhance the computation time for WPEG decoding. The first pact is to find candidates of anchors face through rough analysis with partial decoding MPEG and the second part is to verify candidates of anchors face with fully decoding. It is possible to use the result of this process in basic step of news analysis. Especially, the fast processing and the high recall rate of this process are suitable to apply for the real news service.

  • 우리나라의 자연하천은 대부분 사행하천으로 이루어져 있다. 특히 사행하천의 만곡부에서는 2차류가 발생할 수 있으며, 이는 만곡부의 흐름에 비선형적인 영향을 미치게 되어 흐름과 유사이송에 대해 복잡한 상호작용을 하게 된다. 하천에 서식하고 있는 식생 또한 흐름에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 더군다나, 댐으로 인한 유사의 차단과 방류량 통제는 댐 하류 구간에 영향을 주게 되어 식생활착을 야기할 수 있으며 활착 이후에는 통제가 어려울 정도로 식생밀도가 증가하며 번성하기도 한다. 이러한 현상이 지속되면 식생으로 인해 통수능이 저하되기도 하며, 홍수범람이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 만곡부 하도식생에 의한 흐름변화를 연구하는 것은 치수적인 측면에서 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 필요성을 고려하여, 2차원 흐름모형인 Nays2D를 활용하여 식생대의 밀도변화에 따른 흐름변화 예측모의를 위한 수치실험을 수행하였다. 연구지역은 사행하천으로서 식생대가 발달한 대청댐 하류 구간이다. 본 연구에서는 현장조사를 통해 구축한 식생특성을 반영하여 예측모의를 수행하였으며, 이를 위해 부등류를 기반으로 식생밀도에 따라 2021년의 식생현황, 전체벌채(식생없음), 솎아베기(2021년 식생밀도의 0.5배), 존치(2021년 식생밀도의 2배)로 가정하여 모형을 구축하였다. 모의결과, 전체벌채의 경우, 2차류에 의해 흐름이 만곡부 외측으로 집중되었기 때문에 만곡부 외측에서 수심과 유속이 증가하였다. 2021년 식생현황과 솎아베기, 그리고 존치의 경우, 공통적으로 만곡부 외측에 식생이 존재하고 있기 때문에 전체벌채보다 수심이 증가하고 유속이 감소하였으며 식생대 주변과 하도중앙으로 흐름이 집중되는 경향을 나타났다. 이를 통해, 전체벌채의 경우 치수적으로 만곡부 외측에서 2차류의 발달로 세굴을 야기할 가능성을 확인할 수 있었으며 식생이 존재하는 경우에는 만곡부 외측에 퇴적이 발생할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 식생과 흐름만을 고려하여 수치모의를 수행하였으나 추후 연구에서는 흐름과 하상변동을 모두 고려하여 수치모의를 수행한다면 보다 세부적으로 식생밀도가 하천환경에 미치는 영향 이해할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • This study estimates the social cost of the traffic congestion of the Express highway from Seoul to Pusan during the New Year holiday in 1999. Considering inelastic demand and the hyper congestion, we show the congestion cost can be estimated as externalities caused by traffics which exceed the road capacity. Due to the congestion, it is estimated that it took about 12.40 hours more from Seoul to Pusan. The congestion is also estimated to have caused fuel cost of 0.6 billion won. time cost of 43.6 billion won and environmental cost of 0.5 billion won. The total cost reached up to 44.8 billion won.

  • Due to non-linear characteristics of color spaces, color corrections using linear conversions for real image near color reappearance causes color distortions. In order to overcome this problem, the Bezier Curve, constructed with a set of arbitrary plane in the linear theory, has been used. However, the Bezier Curve increases in proportion to the number of data points, resulting in higher computational complexities. This paper attempts to use a Triplicated Piecewise Bezier Cubic-Curve (TPBC-Curve) of which the degree is cubic on the whole interval while keeping the characteristics of Bezier Curves. By Comparing the TPBC-Curve with Bezier Curve of 20 degree, the paper not only reduces the distortion during color correction but also lessens the relative increase of workload that is caused by the color correction in a small zone.

  • The traditional TCP was designed assuming wired networks. Thus, if it is used networks consisting of both wired and wireless networks, all packet losses including random losses in wireless links are regarded as network congestion losses. Misclassification of packet losses causes unnecessary reduction of transmission rate, and results in waste of bandwidth. In this paper, we present WTCP(wireless TCP) congestion control algorithm that differentiates the random losses more accurately, and adopts improved congestion control which results in better network throughput. To evaluate the performance of proposed scheme, we compared the proposed algorithm with TCP Westwood and TCP Veno via simulations.

  • 현재 사용되고 있는 통행시간 분류방법은 하나의 통행시간을 대푯값으로 가지고 있다. 이에 문제점은 고속도로 특성으로 규정 속도 이상의 속도로 주행하는 차량, 규정 속도 및 휴게소 이용차량, 운전자의 운전 습성, 통행 목적, 피로의 정도, 운전자 성향과 도로상황에 따라 통행시간이 다르게 나타나는 점이다. TCS(Toll Collection System) 자료는 고속도로의 다양한 특성이 포함되어 있으며, 대상 구간의 거리가 멀수록 목적지에 도달하는 통행시간의 분산이 커지는 특성 또한 보인다. 따라서 이를 처리하기 위한 효율적인 통행시간 분류, 구간대표통행시간 추출 알고리즘이 필요하다. 기존의 방법은 전체 통행차량의 통행시간을 감안한 방법으로 통행시간 예측시 정확성이 저하된다. 본 연구에서는 TCS 자료를 Fuzzy c-means 알고리즘을 이용하여 일일 고속도로 통행시간의 시간별 주행특성을 고려한 대푯 값을 추출하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 실제 서울-청주 구간을 운행한 TCS 자료를 가지고 실시한 실험으로, 주행특성 및 도로상황을 고려한 Fuzzy c-means를 이용한 통행시간 분류방법과 기존의 통행시간 분류 방법을 통한 통행시간을 PIFAB를 사용 TCS 자료의 실제 통행시간과 경로통행시간을 비교 평가하였다. 평가한 결과 본 연구에서 제안하는 Fuzzy c-means기법은 기존 방법인 MAD기법보다 75%, 신뢰구간(95%) 추출법 대비 81%의 정확성을 제고하였다.

A Study of the Holocene Climate Change Using Humus Analysis of the Nam River Basin in Jinju, Southern Part of Korea (휴무스분석을 통한 진주 남강유역의 홀로세 기후 변화 연구)

  • The Holocene climate change has been studied based on humus analysis of sediments that came from the Nam River basin in the Jinju, Gyeongnam. Humus and soil organic carbon analyses were performed to interpret the climate change and OSL dating and radiocarbon dating were conducted to determine the age of the sediments. The age determinations revealed that the sediments were formed approximately from $10,000{\pm}100$ yr. BP to $4,370{\pm}50$ yr. BP (2,970 BC) The deposits were classified into five layers based on sediments color and texture, and the climate change of each layer has been interpreted. The general climate was found out to be warm. The study result illustrated that section I was the lowest layer and section V the highest among the five surveyed sections. One the other hand, relatively cold events were detected in the sections ranging from I and II to III in terms of temperature. In term of humidity, sections II and III are estimated to have been relatively dry. Sections IV and V were relatively warm and dry, and the section IV tends to be warmest of the entire sedimentary. In addition, there is a tendency that the total soil organic carbon shows relatively high values under the cooler and humid climatic condition.

Trajectory Indexing for Efficient Processing of Range Queries (영역 질의의 효과적인 처리를 위한 궤적 인덱싱)

  • This paper addresses an indexing scheme capable of efficiently processing range queries in a large-scale trajectory database. After discussing the drawbacks of previous indexing schemes, we propose a new scheme that divides the temporal dimension into multiple time intervals and then, by this interval, builds an index for the line segments. Additionally, a supplementary index is built for the line segments within each time interval. This scheme can make a dramatic improvement in the performance of insert and search operations using a main memory index, particularly for the time interval consisting of the segments taken by those objects which are currently moving or have just completed their movements, as contrast to the previous schemes that store the index totally on the disk. Each time interval index is built as follows: First, the extent of the spatial dimension is divided onto multiple spatial cells to which the line segments are assigned evenly. We use a 2D-tree to maintain information on those cells. Then, for each cell, an additional 3D $R^*$-tree is created on the spatio-temporal space (x, y, t). Such a multi-level indexing strategy can cure the shortcomings of the legacy schemes. Performance results obtained from intensive experiments show that our scheme enhances the performance of retrieve operations by 3$\sim$10 times, with much less storage space.
