  • 정보시스템의 효율적 도입 및 운영 등에 관한 법률을 제정하여 정부부처 및 공공 기관의 EA 법제화를 의무화하였고 국방부는 '06년 자원아키텍처 구축을 시작으로 전장 및 정보환경 아키텍처 등 국방아키텍처 구축사업을 수행하고 있으나, 전장아키텍처 구축시 연습^훈련분야 기능이 제외되어 별도의 워게임 아키텍처 구축이 요구되었습니다. 한국군의 실전적 합동^연합연습 및 훈련지원을 보장하고 국방 및 전장아키텍처 이행계획에 대한 효과적인 검증도구로 활용할 수 있는 합동워게임아키텍처 구축을 위하여 현 워게임 체계에 대한 현황 파악을 파악하고 합동워게임아키텍처 구축에 대해서 제언하였다.

  • The Korean military has developed and operated computer, network, communication technologies as well as war game models to strengthen the national defense M&S continuously. In particular, lots of projects for developing models for drill/training, analyses, and acquired fields are being conducted in the military. However, it needs to look into the actual conditions and seek for strategies to develop the national defense M&S. First of all, in the field of war games, various national defense architectures have been built, including war and information environment architectures starting from the resource architecture in 2006. However, the function of drill and training is limited, so additional war game architectures are required to be built. To build joint war game architectures available as an effective verification tool to implement plans of the national defense and war architectures, this study examines the actual conditions of the current war game systems and suggested building joint war game architectures.

  • ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff in developing an WMA-EA(Warfighting Mission Area-Enterprise Architecture) tries to create the practical buildup requirements of military power through precise requirements and operational capabilities based on the architectures. However, it is difficult to verify the effectiveness of target architectures and do efficient requirement planning because we cannot know the gap of quantitative combat effectiveness between current and target WMA-EAs. This study presents an evaluation method of combat effectiveness and focuses on combat's positive effects in WMA-EAs. The method proposed is based on C2 model which is appropriate for the evaluation of combat effectiveness in architectures. We verify the effectiveness of the proposed method through a case study of an anti-ship warfare architecture.

A Study on Agent based Simulation System Architecture for the Engagement of Ground Weapon Systems (지상무기체계 교전 모의를 위한 에이전트 기반 시뮬레이션 시스템 아키텍처 설계 연구)

  • Presented in this paper is a study for construction of a simulation system for the engagement of ground weapon systems. This paper proposes architecture for the simulation system based on agent simulation design methodology. Every entity of the proposed architecture is developed by assembling modularized agent components, and it enhances the reusability and composability of the entity. Consequently, time, costs, and efforts that are required to develop a new simulation system is able to be reduced by the enhancement. In the case of ground engagement simulation, it is very important to reflect environmental effects. Synthetic battlefield of the proposed architecture has environmental data of the battlefield and interacts with entities in the simulation system. The proposed architecture based simulation system can build swiftly various simulation models by the objectives and derive reasonable results from behaviors of entities that include environmental effects. This paper contains the construction of an example system based on the proposed architecture to verify the advantages of the architecture.

  • There has been skeptical aspects for the robot to be effective in combat fields even though consensus of operational needs and some technological advancements. One of fundamental problems is difficulties in the autonomous technology applicable. This technology is not sufficient to be applied for heavy combat operation, therefore, developer first make open architecture, then, application is implemented on the condition that new functions or technologies will be developed later. It is also required to partition all the functions with common segments which are general to all platforms in order to operate together in the fields and to reduce the load of development to each platform respectively. In addition, common middleware based on the reference architecture is also developed to accommodate new technology evolution. This paper introduces the architecture and middleware applied in XAV(eXperimental Autonomous Vehicle) developed in ADD. In addition, the performance of autonomous navigation and system design characteristics are introduced briefly.

  • This work describes a derivation of functional architecture of Cooperative Engagement (CE) for a Theater Ballistic Missile Defense (TBMD). The TBMD is composed of multi-layered defense systems as system of systems which includes network-based sensors, shooters and battle management. The Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) is a typical real-time battle management system, and the key function of the CEC is CE. The CE is a warfighting concept designed to defeat threats through the synergistic integration of distributed resources among two or more units. In this point of view, this paper proposed functional architecture through analyzing the CE concept, and was conducted as a pre-study to develop a CE based combat system of TBMD.

  • 차량전장용 소프트웨어에 대한 합리적인 설계 및 테스트가 중요해졌다. 차량전장용 소프트웨어의 신뢰성을 검증하기 위해 AUTOSAR Conformance Test 표준이 마련되었는데, AUTOSAR Conformance Test 표준에는 테스트 대상, 테스트 커버리지, 테스트 요구조건 & 케이스 정의 및 테스트 아키텍처 환경에 대한 정의방법을 기술하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 차량전장용 소프트웨어의 안정성을 테스트하기 위해 소프트웨어가 저장되는 EEPROM 메모리에 대한 시뮬레이션 테스트를 수행하였으며, AUTOSAR 표준에 맞게 제작된 EEPROM Abstraction 시뮬레이션 모듈을 이용하였다. 또한 EEPROM Abstraction 시뮬레이션 모듈 위에서 AUTOSAR Conformance Test 표준에 정의된 적합성 테스트를 수행하기 위한 테스트 어댑터와 타겟 어댑터의 기능을 기술하고, EEPROM Abstraction 시뮬레이션 모듈에서 리얼타임 요소를 만족하기 위해 필요한 개선 사항을 제안하고자 한다.

  • 국방 모델 및 시뮬레이션 고수준 아키텍처(High Level Architecture ; HLA)는 여러 가지 군사 워게임 모델, 무기체계 시abf레이터, 야지 훈련 등을 하나로 묶어 마치 전쟁 실험실처럼 가상 전쟁환경을 조성할 수 있는 전장 합성환경(Synthetic Environment)의 구축을 위한 아키텍처이다. 합성 환경은 워게임 모델과 시뮬레이터, 실 야지 기동훈련을 통합하는 정보기술기반 모의체계로서 기존의 워게임으로부터 진일보인 동시에 전쟁을 사실에 가까운 정도로 실험해 볼 수 있는 새로운 기회를 제공하고 있다. HLA는 합성환경 조성을 용이하도록 해주는 고수준 아키텍처로 시뮬레이션 개발을 위한 표준 구조, 설계규칙, 그리고 상호 인터페이스에 대하여 규정하고 있다. 본 연구는 DM&S 합성환경과 초보적인 형태로 HLA 개념을 적용한 예를 보여주는데 그 목적이 있다.

  • 최근 개발하는 소프트웨어의 복잡도 증가로 소프트웨어 및 전체 시스템에 대한 테스팅 기술의 중요성이 커지고 있는 추세에 맞춰 임베디드 소프트웨어에 대한 테스팅 기술의 활발한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 임베디드 소프트웨어 테스트는 개발하는 소프트웨어의 결함 발견을 통해 그 기능과 품질에서 더욱 완전한 소프트웨어 개발을 할 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 현재 차량전장용 표준 플랫폼인 AUTOSAR(AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture) 소프트웨어의 표준 준수여부를 테스트하는 AUTOSAR 적합성 테스트에 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 AUTOSAR 적합성 테스트 프로세스 중 디자인 단계의 테스트 아키텍처를 Eclipse GMF에 기반을 둔 설계 도구 개발을 소개한다. 본 논문의 AUTOSAR 적합성 테스트를 위한 테스트 아키텍처 설계 도구를 통해 설계된 테스트 시스템 결과물의 재사용성을 제공할 것이라 예상한다.

  • There are technological, operational and environmental constraints at tactical edge, which are disconnected operation, intermittent connectivity, and limited bandwidth (DIL), size, weight and power (SWaP) limitations, ad-hoc and mobile network, and so on. To overcome these limitations and constraints, we use service-oriented architecture (SOA) based technologies. In our research, we propose a hierarchical mission service model that supports service-oriented mission planning and execution in order for a commander to operate various SW required for mission in battlefield environment. We will also implement development tools that utilize the workflow technology and semantic capability-based recommendation and apply them to combat mission scenarios to demonstrate effectiveness.
