Development of an operation and control software for electro-hydraulic (전자유압식 CVT의 운용 및 제어 소프트웨어 개발과 실시간 제어)

  • In CVT vehicle, the engine speed is completely decoupled from the vehicle speed within the range from maximum transmission ratio to minimum transmission ratio. This allows the engine to operate in optimal state(e.g. best fuel economy or maximum power mode.) In this study, the CVT control algorithm for optimal operation of engine is suggested. In order to implement the real time digital control of electro-hydraulic CVT system, a software called CVTCON has been developed. CVTCON also includes the CVT operation module, (2) system test module, (3) system control module and (4) data management module. By using the CVTCON and the electro-hydraulic CVT system, two modes of experiments were carried out: constant throttle opening mode and acceleration mode. From the experimental result, it was found that the algorithm suggested in this study showed optimal operation of the CVT system.

  • Behaviour of ultra-high pressure diesel spray in a constant-volume pressure chamber was studied with injection pressure ranging from 20 to 160㎫. Sprays were observed by the right angle scattering method. As a result, the spray tip penetration is first proportional to a time, and after that, it is proportional to 0.52 of the time during at the time of injection pressure and back pressure increase. An empirical correlation was made for the parameters of injection pressure, air-fuel density ratio, spray tip distance, spray angle, jet angle of spray and max. spray width.

  • 자동화라는 것은 1788년에 유명한 James Watt의 증기기관에 있어서 조속기에서 처음으로 찾아볼 수 있다고 하며, 그후도 각종기기에서 부분적인 자동제어화된 예를 볼 수가 있다. 그러나, 현대 적이고 본질적인 자동화는 1914년에 Ford 자동차직립공장에서 흐름적립선을 설치하여 다량생산 방식의 근대산업을 개발하여 생산과정을 진정한 의미로 기계화하고 설인간화하였는데 있다고 하며 현대적감독의 자동화라는 말도 1946년에 출현한 transfer machine에 대하여 사용한 것이 처음이라고 한다 여하간 모든 산업에 있어서의 자동화는 현대산업발전의 촉진제로서 역할을 하여 획기적인 변혁을 가져왔고 경제발전의 원동력으로서의 자리를 굳혔을 뿐 아니라 설안간화, 성 력화의 단계를 넘어서 무인화의 영역에 도전하기에 이르렀다. 자동화 무인화의 영역에 도전하 기에 이르렀다. 자동화의 기술은 초기의 기계적방법을 거쳐서 유압식, 전기전자식으로 발전하였 으며, 현대과학기술의 정화인 전산기와 결합되어 종합과학기술로 발전하였고 앞으로 더욱 가속 화될 것이 기대된다.

  • Behaviour of ultra-high pressure diesel spray and its structure in a constant-volume pressure chamber were studied with injection pressure ranging from 35 to 110MPa. Sprays were observed by using the back illumination scattering method and righ angle scattering method. The spray process mechanism were investigated with both photographs. As a result, the spray angle and air entrainment angle was larger as injection pressure and back pressure increase. It becomes clear that mean air-fuel ratio is increased by increasing the injection pressure.

  • The purposes of this study were to perform theoretical analysis of an electronic-hydraulic hitch control system for position and draft control of tractor implements and to investigate the performance of the control system through computer simulation. Computer simulation models which could predict the responses of the system to the step and sinusoidal inputs in position and draft controls were developed using the simulation package "TUTSIM". The effects of control mode, hydraulic flow rate, deadband, and proportional constant on control performance of the system were investigated. The simulated results were compard with the experimental ones to verify the simulation models. The simulation models appeared to be a useful means for the analysis and the design of the electronic-hydraulic hitch control system.

  • Arm-type implements of tractor are mainly utilized for the slope land operation. The proposed hydraulic system was implemented to arm-type implements of tractor. An experiment was conducted to evaluate response characteristics of the designed arm-type implement control system attached by three-point hitch of tractor at various conditions, such as engine speed, pumping rate and cylinder input flow. Effects of the valve response time didn't affect engine speed. The flow rate of pump and cylinder changed to the pressure loss. Also, the pressure loss was within 2 MPa and the response characteristic was sufficient enough to use as the arm-type implement system.

  • Electro-hydraulic brake system has many advantages. It provides improved braking performance and stability functions. It also removes complex mechanical parts for freedom of design, improves maintenance requirements and reduces unit weight. However, the EHB system should be dependable and have back-up redundancy in case of a failure. In this paper, the model-based fault diagnosis system is developed to monitor the brake status using the analytical redundancy method. The performance of the model-based fault diagnosis system is verified in real-time simulation. It demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed system in various faulty cases.

  • In a power plant, it is generally accepted that a turbine governor system is necessary to control amount of steam supply toward the turbine system. There are many kinds of trouble at this governor system, which is recognized one of the most sensitive systems in the power plant. Especially we have experienced the internal leakage of motorization oil of servo valve. In the study, we investigated the mechanism of an internal leakage such as erosion by foreign materials and corrosion by chemical reaction between chloric healed oil and motorization oil. A precautionary measures is also performed to help the field service engineers.

  • HILS(Hardware-In-the-Loop Simulation) is a scheme that incorporates hardware components of primary concern in the numerical simulation environment. Due to its advantages over actual vehicle test and pure simulation, HILS is being widely accepted in automotive industries as test benches for vehicle control units. Developed in this study is a HILS system for EHB(Electro-Hydraulic Brake) systems that include a high pressure generator and a valve control system that independently modulates the brake pressures at four wheels. An EHB control logic was tested in the HILS system. Test results under various driving conditions are presented and compared with the VDC logic.

  • Most electronic chassis control systems until today have been designed with optimization on its own performance. Recently, however. importance of the global chassis control (GCC) concept that aims to achieve optimal performance on a global basis is more emphasized than ever, as the x-by-wire technology is rapidly progressing. In this research, a study has been done for developing a GCC logic for combining longitudinal, lateral, and vertical chassis control subsystems. A simulation has been performed to investigate interactions among the subsystems, and based upon the results, a GCC logic has been developed. The logic has been tested under various driving conditions. and the results have been compared with those from implementing subsystems without any GCC logic.
