A study for stable output sequence in a real random number generator (실난수발생기에서 출력수열의 안정화를 위한 연구)

  • 실난수 발생기는 소프트웨어로 구현된 의사난수 발생기와는 달리 비결정적인 출력열을 제공하고, 알고리즘의 분해나 노출에 따른 위협이 없으며 의사난수발생기의 시드 값 관리가 불필요하다는 장점 등을 가지고 있다. 그러나 전자회고 잡음을 이용하는 경우 실난수 발생기는 온도나 주변 전자회로 기판 잡음 등으로 인해 지속적으로 편이성을 갖지 않는 안정된 출력 난수열을 얻는 것은 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 실난수 발생기에서 추출된 출력 난수열이 지속적으로 안정화된 출력 수열을 얻기 위한 방안을 연구하였다. 제시한 방안은 출력 난수열 "0"나 "1" 비트의 편이성을 가질 경우 FIPS 140-1에서 제시하고 있는 랜덤성의 조건을 만족하도록 출력 난수열의 랜덤성을 개선하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 반도체 응용부문 중 그 활용도가 높은 MOSFET(Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor)의 새로운 구조를 제안하였다. 제안한 소자를 가지고 전자회로의 구성할 때 인접 디바이스들과 연계되어 발생되는 래치 업(latch-up)을 근본적으로 제거하고, 개별소자의 완전한 절연을 실현하였으며 누설전류 또한 제거된다. 이는 SOI기판 위에 벌크실리콘 공정을 이용하여 구현된다. 즉, 소자 양옆의 트랜치 웰(Trench-well)과 SOI 기판의 절연층으로 소자의 독립성을 지켜준다. 또한 게이트 절연층을 트랜치 구조로 기존 MOS구조의 채널 부분에 위치시키고 드레인과 소스를 위치시켜 자연적으로 자기정렬이 되어진다. 이와 같은 과정으로 게이트-소스, 게이트-드레인 기생 커패시터의 효과를 현저히 줄일 수 있다.

  • This Paper is about the study that use the IPM(Intelligent Power Module) which is a integrated switching module to drive inverter gates for driving of a multi-pole BLDC(Brushless Direct Current) motors. When designing a inverter using the various manufacturers IPM, it suggests a electronic circuit system to evaluate the electrical and logical characteristics of the IPM with various brands.

  • As the super-aged society approaches rapidly, the number of people suffering from post-stroke and other neurological disorders is significantly increasing, where prompt and intensive rehabilitation is essential for such people to resume their physical activities in normal daily lives. To overcome the inherent limitations of manual physical therapy, various types of exoskeleton robots are being employed. However, the need of the hour is softer, thinner, lighter, and even stretchable systems for precisely monitoring the motion of each joint without restricting the patients' movements in rehabilitation tasks. In this paper, we discuss the technological trends and current status of emerging stretchable rehabilitation systems, in which sensors, interconnects, and signal-processing circuits are monolithically integrated within a single stretchable substrate attachable to the skin. Such skin-like stretchable rehabilitation devices are expected to provide much more convenient, user-friendly, and motivating rehabilitation to patients with neurological impairments.

  • In this study, we designed and manufactured an intelligent gripper-control device to safely grip unknown objects. The gripper control device consists of a DSP circuit, power supply circuit, communication circuit, and amplifier circuit diagrams. The DSP is used because the values of the 3-axis force sensor to which the gripper is attached are measured and calculated at high speeds. The gripping force is determined based on this value, and the object must be safely gripped with the determined value. A basic characteristic test of the control device of the manufactured intelligent gripper was conducted, and it was confirmed that it operated safely.

  • This paper describes the counting-loss problem for radiation measurement Multi-channel analyzers and spectrometers adopt various techniques for compensation for counting-losses in process-ing the radiation pulses from a detector. Researchers hate tried to seek the best solution for the problem. However, any absolute solution has not been reached and vendors of radiation instruments use their own algorithms individually. This survey explains the various compensation algorithms with electronic implementation approach. Shortcomings and merits of each algorithm are also reviewed and a direction is suggested of the recommendable development strategy for counting-loss compensation.

  • We designed and developed a multi-purpose CCD camera system for three kinds of CCDs; KAF-0401E($768{\times}512$), KAF-1602E($1536{\times}1024$), KAF-3200E($2184{\times}1472$) made by KODAK Co.. The system supports fast USB port as well as parallel port for data I/O and control signal. The packing is based on two stage circuit boards for size reduction and contains built-in filter wheel. Basic hardware components include clock pattern circuit, A/D conversion circuit, CCD data flow control circuit, and CCD temperature control unit. The CCD temperature can be controlled with accuracy of approximately $0.4^{\circ}C$ in the max. range of temperature, ${\Delta}33^{\circ}C$. This CCD camera system has with readout noise $6\;e^-$, and system gain $5\;e^-/ADU$. A total of 10 CCD camera systems were produced and our tests show that all of them show passable performance.

Dead Operation Characteristics of Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker for 50[A] Against Surge Voltages (서지전압에 대한 50[A]용 누전차단기의 부동작 특성)

  • Electronic circuits with semiconductor and IC are very weak against the surge voltage and currents. The surge protective devices for electronic circuit and AC power lines are becoming more widely used. It is possible to give rise to the malfunction of the earth leakage circuit breaker(ELB) due to the operation of surge protective devices, and the interruption of AC power lines on account of the malfunction of the ELB brings about several disadvantages such as low operation efficiency and reliability of electronic and informational systems, economical loss, and etc. The aim of the present work is to investigate the dead operation characteristics of the ELB against the surge voltages. The impulse generator of 10[kV) in an 1.2/ 50[~) voltage waveform was fabricated. The dead operation characteristics of the ELB applied by surge voltages were measured under the conditions of KS C 4613 and the test circuit with a varistor. As a consequence, the peak value of the zero-phase sequence circuit of the ELB is increased as the surge voltage and stray capacitance increase. All of the ELBs used in this work were satisfied with the lightning impulse dead operation test condition defined in KS C 4613. However one specimen only did not bring about dead operation in the condition of the test circuit with a varistor. There is high possibility that a large portion of the ELB installed at the AC power lines with the surge protective devices bring about the dead operation.

  • To enhance the excellence, effectiveness and economical efficiency in the learning process, we implement a hybrid educational system for engineering experiments where web-based virtual laboratory systems and distance education systems are properly integrated. In the first stage, we designed client/server distributed environment and developed web-based virtual laboratory systems for digital systems and electrical/electronic circuit experiments. The proposed virtual laboratory systems are composed of four important sessions and their management system: concept learning session, virtual experiment session, assessment session. With the aid of the management system every session is organically tied up together to achieve maximum learning efficiency. In the second stage, we have implemented efficient and cost-effective distant laboratory systems for practicing electric/electronic circuits, which can be used to eliminate the lack of reality occurred during virtual laboratory session. The use of simple and user-friendly design allows a large number of people to access our distant laboratory systems easily. Thus, self-guided advanced training is available even if a lot of expensive equipment will not be provided in the on-campus laboratories. The proposed virtual/distant laboratory systems can be used in stand-alone fashion, but to enhance learning efficiency we integrated them and developed a hybrid educational system for engineering experiments. Our hybrid education system provides the learners with interactive learning environment and a new approach for the delivery of engineering experiments.

Fabrication of Thin Film Inductors Using Ni-Zn Ferrite Core (Ni-Zn 페라이트 박막을 이용한 박막 인덕터의 제조)

  • 고주파 이동통신의 효용이 증가할수록 고주파 회로에 들어가는 부품들의 소형화가 중요한 과제로 대두되고 있다. 인덕터는 전자회로에 이용되는 주요 부품의 하나이며, 현재 교주파용 소형 인덕터를 박막화하려는 시도가 진행중이다. 본 연구에서 열산화시킨 Si(100)기판위에 성공적으로 박막형 인덕터를 제조하였다. Core 물질로는 ion beam sputtering 법으로 증착한 Ni-Zn 페라이트와 PECVD법으로 증착한 SiO2를 사용하였다. 고온산화분위기의 박막 증착과정을 고려하여 귀금속류인 Au를 전극으로 이용하였으며, life-off법으로 미세회로를 구현하였다. 상하부 전극의 안정적인 연결을 위하여 2차 전극배선 전에 via를 채워넣었다. 제조된 박막 인덕터의 고주파 특성은 network analyzer로 측정한 후 HP사의 Mecrowave Design System으로 분석하였다.
