Implementation of the System Converting Image into Music Signals based on Intentional Synesthesia (의도적인 공감각 기반 영상-음악 변환 시스템 구현)

  • This paper is the implementation of the conversion system from image to music based on intentional synesthesia. The input image based on color, texture, and shape was converted into melodies, harmonies and rhythms of music, respectively. Depending on the histogram of colors, the melody can be selected and obtained probabilistically to form the melody. The texture in the image expressed harmony and minor key with 7 characteristics of GLCM, a statistical texture feature extraction method. Finally, the shape of the image was extracted from the edge image, and using Hough Transform, a frequency component analysis, the line components were detected to produce music by selecting the rhythm according to the distribution of angles.

Quality Assurance Program of Electron Beams Using Thermoluminescence Dosimetry (열형광선량계를 이용한 전자선 품질보증 프로그램에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study has been performed to investigate the possibility of external audit program using thermoluminescence dosimetry for electron beam in korea. The TLD system consists of LiF powder, type TLD-700 read with a PCL 3 reader. In order to determine a calibration coefficient of the TLD system, the reference dosimeters are irradiated to 2 Gy in a $^{60}CO$ beam at the KFDA The irradiation is performed under reference conditions is water phantom using the IAEA standard holder for TLD of electron beam. The energy correction factor is determined for LiF powder irradiated of dose to water 2 Gy in electron beams of 6, 9, 12, 16 and 20 MeV (Varian CL 2100C). The dose is determined according to the IAEA TRS-398 and by measurement with a PTW Roos type plane-parallel chamber. The TLD for each electron energy are positioned in water at reference depth. In this study, to verify of the accuracy of dose determination by the TLD system are performed through a 'blind' TLD irradiation. The results of blind test are $2.98\%,\;3.39\%\;and\;0.01\%(1\sigma)$ at 9, 16, 20 MeV, respectively. The value generally agrees within the acceptance level of $5\%$ for electron beam. The results of this study prove the possibility of the TLD quality assurance program for electron beams. It has contributed to the improvement of clinical electron dosimetry in radiotherapy centers.

Realtime Compensation of PCC Voltage Variation by Injection of Required Reactive Power in a Grid Connected Variable Speed Wind Turbine (계통 연계형 가변속 풍력발전기의 무효전력 주입을 통한 PCC 전압 변동량 실시간 보상)

  • In a grid connected variable speed wind turbine, the PCC voltage and the wind power fluctuate as the wind velocity changed. And this voltage variation is changed due to location of PCC. This paper calculate the value of PCC voltage variation which is proportional to the product of the line impedance from the ideal generator to the PCC and the wind turbine output current. And to reduce this PCC voltage variation, this paper calculate the required reactive power analytically using the vector diagram method. Output reactive current is changed, if the reactive current is limited by inverter capacity or grid code have the margin of voltage variation. If the grid connected inverter is controlled by proposed algorithm, the PCC voltage variation is minimized though the wind turbine output change at random. To verify calculated voltage variation and required reactive power, this paper utilized Matlab and PSCAD/EMTDC simulation and real small wind turbine and power system in Sapsido, island in the Yellow Sea.

Development of Neutron, Gamma ray, X-ray Radiation Measurement and Integrated Control System (중성자, 감마선, 엑스선 방사선 측정 및 통합 제어 시스템 개발)

  • In this paper, we propose an integrated control system that measures neutrons, gamma ray, and x-ray. The proposed system is able to monitor and control the data measured and analyzed on the remote or network, and can monitor and control the status of each part of the system remotely without remote control. The proposed system consists of a gamma ray/x-ray sensor part, a neutron sensor part, a main control embedded system part, a dedicated display device and GUI part, and a remote UI part. The gamma ray/x-ray sensor part measures gamma ray and x-ray of low level by using NaI(Tl) scintillation detector. The neutron sensor part measures neutrons using Proportional Counter Detector(low-level neutron) and Ion Chamber Type Detector(high-level neutron). The main control embedded system part detects radiation, samples it in seconds, and converts it into radiation dose for accumulated pulse and current values. The dedicated display device and the GUI part output the radiation measurement result and the converted radiation amount and radiation amount measurement value and provide the user with the control condition setting and the calibration function for the detection part. The remote UI unit collects and stores the measured values and transmits them to the remote monitoring system. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed system, the measurement uncertainty of the neutron detector was measured to less than ${\pm}8.2%$ and the gamma ray and x-ray detector had the uncertainty of less than 7.5%. It was confirmed that the normal operation was not less than ${\pm}15$ percent of the international standard.

  • A detailed analysis of the transistor wide-band feedback amplifiers using the hybrid-$\pi$ equivalent circuit has been made. It is considered both for the low freqnency and for the high frequency. The expressions of the gain, bandwidth. input impedance and output impedance have been presented. It is shown that a series feedback amplifier should be driven from the voltage source and should drive into the low resistance load, and a shunt feedback amplifier should be driven from the current source and should drive into the high resistance load. It is also shown that these stages can be coupled without use of the buffer stage or coupling transformer.

  • 본 논문에서는 400Hz 항공기용 3상 4선식 인버터의 전압 제어에 대해 연구하였다. 시스템에서 불평형이 발생하면 중성선 전류가 증가하며 이에 따라 출력전압 불균형 및 왜곡 증가 등 시스템에 심각한 문제를 발생시킨다. 전압의 크기를 제어해주는 RMS 제어의 경우 불평형 발생 시 전압의 크기는 정상적으로 제어가 가능하지만, THD가 상승하여 전력의 품질이 저하될 수 있다. 다른 제어 방식인 비례 공진(PR) 제어는 순시적으로 제어를 함으로써 전압의 크기뿐만 아니라 위상차 및 THD 감소 등의 향상된 전력 품질을 기대할 수 있다. 두 제어방법의 비교는 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 수행하였으며, 두 제어방법 불평형 발생 시 모두 전압의 크기 오차가 3% 이하로 정상적으로 제어하는 것을 확인하였고, THD는 RMS 제어에 비하여 PR 제어의 결과가 2% 감소하는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 여러 분산 발전 시스템으로 구성된 마이크로그리드는 계통연계 모드에서 부하의 수요에 담당하게 되고, 계통 사고가 발생할 시 독립 운전 모드로 동작을 해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 독립운전 모드 동작 시 제어 방식 중에서 유, 무효 전력제어를 통한 적절한 전력 분담을 실현하기 위한 드룹제어 방식을 다룬다. 이 방식은 선로 임피던스가 복합 성분으로 구성되어 있거나 불 평형 일 경우 여러 문제로 유,무효 전력 분담의 오차를 발생 시킨다. 이에 대하여 가상임피던스를 추가함으로써, 복합적 불 평형 임피던스에 기인한 유,무효 전력 분담의 오차를 해결 하여, 시스템의 유,무효 전력 분담을 개선 하고자 하였다. 가상 임피던스에 따른 출력 임피던스에 대해서 연구하고 이에 따른 드룹제어를 분석하고, PSIM 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 검증하였다.

  • 종전의 이동형 발전시스템은 부피와 소음이 크고, 응답속도와 발전이 효율 낮은 등의 단점이 있다. 때문에 CVCF(Constant Voltage Constant Frequency)의 안정적인 상용전원(220V,60Hz)을 공급 가능한 전력변환장치가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 개선하고자 정전압 및 정주파수의 정현파 출력이 가능한 7kW급 전력 변환장치를 제안하였다.

  • 네온용 전자식 안정기(EBN)의 출력선간 전자파방해(EMI)로 인한 네온관간의 신호상쇠 현상을 방지하는 회로를 설계하였다. 특히 네온관이 가까이 위치할 때 전자파유도로 인하여 네온발광이 상쇄되는 원인을 방지함으로써 EBN의 성능이 개선되는 결과를 얻었다. 또한 유도전자파를 방지함으로써 인체에 유해한 전자파를 차단하는 효과도 얻었다.

  • In this paper, we have designed and fabricated an BWLL MMIC amplifier using GaAs PHEMT devices. We have optimized power divider/combiner size for small size of MMIC amplifier Using 0.2 ${\mu}$m AIGaAs/lnGaAs/GaAs PHEMT devices, the two stave MMIC amplifier has demonstrated a S$_{21}$ gain of 8.7 ㏈ with input/output return losses of lower than -10 ㏈ at 26.7 GHz. The size of this chip is 4.11 ${\times}$ 2.66 $\textrm{mm}^2$.
