A new power-stage design and analysis to modularize power regulator of the KOrea Multi-Purpose SATellite (다목적 실용위성 전력조절기 모듈화 구현을 위한 새로운 전원단 설계 및 해석)

  • KOMPSAT series use software-controlled unregulated bus system in which the main bus is directly connected to a battery and the duty-ratio for PWM switch is controlled by the on-board satellite software. This paper proposes a new power-stage circuit that can be available for modularization of the power regulator which is used at the software-controlled unregulated bus system satellite. And we analyze the proposed power-stage operation according to its operating modes and verify it by performing software simulation and hardware experiment using prototype. We construct a parallel-module converter which is composed of proposed power-stages and perform experiment to verify modular characteristics of the proposed power-stage. Finally, we verify the usefulness of the proposed power-stage by comparing above results with those of a parallel-module converter made of conventional power-stages.

This paper proposes a new power-stage circuit that can be available for modularization of a power regulator which is used at the software-controlled unregulated bus system satellite.   • In this paper, the characteristics of LCL set-up parameters for the satellite load distribution are analyzed under the electrical system environment, implemented the LCL circuits and evaluated the performance and its behaviour. Recently, it is implemented the load distribution circuit by latching current limiter(LCL) rather than conventional fuse and relay for the protection of the satellite power system from a fault load. The LCL circuit is composed of the electrical components, not mechanical parts with the fuse and relay. When detected the over current on a fault load, it is activated to maintain the trip-off level for set-up time and then cut-off the load power by the active control. It is more flexible and provided a chance to reuse of the load in case of temporarily event, but the fuse and relay can't be used again after activating due to the physical disconnection. However, for implementation of LCL circuit, it should be carefully considered the behavior of the LCL circuit under the worst electrical system environment and applied it to define the set-up parameters related with over-current inhibition.

  • A Small-Sat Power System Design and Development should be depend on space environment such as solar wind with Electromagnetic field by hurdle of techniques. It is surmount solution of trend that will unitize and converge with power module in these days. The level of modularize means that applying Universal Middleware for payload power module requirements. The scope of target system is a main power provider module and operational subunit that can be implemented with the final power module distribution loads to consume for continuous process. A Universal Middleware strengthen to build power module from satellite power system should be accuracy and consuming data. A Power Service Module and dynamic system drive interactive management between power distribution and consumer module by Range Control. Consequently, suggesting evaluation, unexpecting payload system power consumer that makes fine variable resources in the development design process and efficiency.

  • 본 논문은 전기자동차의 HVBAT 전력을 LVBAT에 충전하는 LDC 전원장치의 고효율 설계 방법에 대하여 설명한다. 기존의 단일형 LDC 전원장치의 배터리 모듈 불평형 문제를 직렬 분배 방식의 모듈형 LDC로 설계하여 불평형 문제를 해결할 수 있는 장점을 갖고 있다. 제안하는 LDC 전원장치는 기존 단일형 1kW이상의 용량에서 모듈형의 150W용량을 가지며 절연이 가능한 포워드 컨버터로 설계하였다. 그리고 소형화가 가능하고 적은 부품수로 설계할 수 있는 능동 클램프 방식의 포워드 컨버터로 선정하였다. 또한 부피와 무게를 최소화하면서 고효율 구현이 가능한 설계기법을 제안하고 실험을 통하여 타당성을 검증한다.

  • Consideration for parallel operation in a high power system has been increased due to the advantages of parallel operation like as high productivity, simplicity of design, and redundancy of power. Based on the small signal model of DC-DC Converter, the simple and exact power stage model of parallel operation system is derived and the parallel operation system using current balance method for the uniform current distribution among the parallel operation system is proposed. Using Simulation programs, which consists of nonidentical Converter modules and changes the position of master and slave automatically, the current distribution error is kept within the limit in the parallel operation system. To verify the high performance of the proposed Converter system for parallel operation, the parallel operation test, which has 2 Converter modules of 1 kW, is accomplished. Also, the simulation result is good agreement with the experiment result in the transient and starting characteristics.

  • 최근 전원장치의 대용량화가 요구되면서 하나의 전원에서 모든 전력을 부담하는 것보다 여러 대의 전원을 병렬 운전하여 신뢰성을 높이고 용량을 증대시키는 방안이 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 병렬 연결된 전원장치에 부하전류 분배를 하는데 있어 디지털 방식을 사용하여 고속 통신을 통한 제어를 이루어 시스템 비용을 낮추고 높은 수준의 제어 로직을 구성하여 부하 변동시 안정된 부하분담이 이루어지는 모듈화 된 일정 용량의 전원 장치를 제안하고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • Improvement of the maintenance of firefly is another important part of the electrical system design with the performance. Usually, the maintenance of electrical system for small aircraft is more difficult than the maintenance of engine. The firefly electrical system imports the concept of module for design. In concept of module, sub-module can re easily isolated each other. Therefore, the maintenance of sub-module is possible. In this paper, the design and production of firefly electrical system is described.

  • 본 논문에서는 용량증대의 편리성, 유지 보수의 수월성, 전원에 따른 PCS 모듈화를 위해 연료전지와 같은 입력전원 증가 시 동일한 전력분배를 위한 PCS의 병렬운전기법이 적용된 연료전지 발전시스템을 개발하였다. 또한 다중 연료전지 발전시스템 PCS의 기생 성분의 영향을 분석하고 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 검증하였다.
