Investigation on the Performance Characteristics of the 75ton Class Turbopump Turbine (75톤급 액체로켓 엔진 터보펌프 터빈의 성능특성연구)

  • Performance test of the 75ton class turbopump turbine was performed. Using the measured turbine power characteristics in the wide-range operational conditions, variations of nozzle velocity ratio, total pressure loss, and relative flow angle to the pressure ratios and rotational speeds are quantified. Efficiency and nozzle exit pressure behavior was also investigated and compared with 30ton turbopump turbine data. A rotor blade was redesigned based on the test results and CFD analysis.

  • 고전압 응용에서 효율을 높이기 위해서는 소프트 스위칭 또는 스위칭 손실이 작은 소자를 사용해야 한다. 스위치는 일반적으로 전압이 높아 질수록 특성이 안 좋아 지는 경향이 있어서, 3레벨 형태로 스위치의 전압 정격을 낮추면 특성이 좋은 스위치를 사용 할 수 있다. 대용량 응용으로 확장 시, 모듈화 및 인터리빙 기법은 전류 정격을 낮춰 시스템의 경제성 및 유지 보수성이 증가하는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 3레벨 인터리브드 양방향 벅-부스트 컨버터의 구조 분석을 통해 고전압, 대용량 응용에 적합한 최적 구조를 제안한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 대용량 전력 어플리케이션에 적합한 인터리브드 토템폴 브리지리스 부스트 PFC 컨버터의 전입력전압 범위, 전부하에서 소프트 스위칭을 달성하여 높은 효율을 얻는 새로운 PFC 컨버터를 제안한다. 기존의 회로는 하드 스위칭에 의해 큰 스위칭 손실을 가져 효율이 낮을 뿐만 아니라 소자에 부담을 주어 높은 성능의 방열 시스템을 필요로 한다. 제안하는 컨버터는 하나의 인덕터가 추가되었으며, 위상 천이 기법을 통해 적절한 크기의 전류를 생성하여 소프트 스위칭을 달성하면서도 추가적인 손실을 최소화 한다. 따라서 전 부하에 걸쳐 높은 효율을 얻을 수 있다.

  • This paper proposes a soft-switching interleaved boost converter which is suitable for high step-up and high power applications. Compared to the conventional boost converter the proposed converter can achieve approximately doubled voltage gain using the same duty cycle. The voltage ratings of the switch and diode are reduced to half, which result in the use of devices with lower $R_{DS(ON)}$ and on drop leading to reduced conduction losses. Also, voltage ratings of the passive components are reduced, and therefore the total energy volume is reduced to half. Further, the switch is turned on with ZVS in the CCM operation, and the diode is turned off with ZCS which results in negligible surge caused by diode reverse recovery leading to reduced switching losses. The validity of the proposed converter is proved through a 2kW prototype.

Effects of Pressure-Side Winglet at an Elevation of Tip Surface on the Tip-Leakage Flow and Aerodynamic Loss Downstream of a Turbine Blade Equipped with Pressure-Side Squealer Tip (압력면익단소익이 터빈 동익 압력면스퀼러팁 하류의 팁누설유동 및 압력손실에 미치는 영향)

  • Effects of pressure-side winglet width on the tip leakage flow and aerodynamic loss downstream of a turbine blade with a pressure-side squealer rim have been investigated for the tip gap-to-span ratio of h/s = 1.36%. The pressure-side squealer has a fixed height-to-span ratio of $h_p/s=3.75%$ and the pressure-side winglet, which is installed at an elevation of tip surface, has width-to-pitch ratios of w/p = 2.64%, 5.28%, 7.92% and 10.55%. The results show that with increasing w/p, aerodynamic loss in the passage vortex region decreases, whereas that in the leakage flow region increases. As a result, the mass-averaged loss coefficient all over the measurement plane tends to decrease minutely with the increment of w/p. It is concluded that the pressure-side winglet for the pressure-side squealer tip can hardly contribute to the tip-leakge loss reduction.

  • In this paper, we calculated the input impedance of the power line communication(PLC) networks using medium voltage power line. First of all, we proposed input and output teoninal model of PLC network, and calculated the input impedance applying the attenuation constants by radiation loss, conductor loss, dielectric loss. From the calculation result, we knew that the attenuation by radiation loss was largest, and the input impedance appears like a standing wave fonn with a fixed cycle because the high reflection at the input terminal for the characteristic impedance of the power line is very large. And also the cycle of input impedance depends on the coaxial cable length, and the amplitude depends on the characteristic impedance of power line and losses. From the measurement result, calculated result was very similar to the measured result.

  • 고온 초전도(HTS) 변압기는 절연수명의 손실 없이 과부하 용량의 증가와 효율의 향상이 가능하여 기존의 변압기와는 달리 구조물의 소형화로 공간 배치가 용이하고 환경 친화적 이어서 전력시스템 운용 전반에 걸쳐 많은 이점을 제공한다. 하지만, 이러한 이점에도 불구하고 AC전압이 인가되었을 때, 교류손실에 의한 심각한 효율의 감소는 불가피하다. 따라서, HTS 변압기뿐만 아니라 고온초전도전력기기들에 대한 DC전압의 적용은 초전도상에서 전기적 저항이 거의 0이라는 큰 이점을 가지고 있기 때문에 초전도 전력기기 시스템에서 최선의 선택으로 여기어지고 있다. 그러므로 DC고온초전도 전력기기들을 개발하기 위해서는 극저온상에서의 DC 절연 특성과 같은 기초연구들이 선행 되어야 한다. 그러나, 지금까지 이 분야에 대한 연구가 많이 부족한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 현재 초전도 전력기기의 대표적인 절연 매질인 Kraft, Kapton(Polymide)와 Nomax(Type 410)을 가지고 권선대 권선의 형상을 모의하여 DC와 AC의 절연파괴 특성의 차이점을 분석하였다. 실험의 결과로부터, 극저온상에서 각각의 절연매질에 따른 DC와 AC의 절연파괴 특성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In this study, 3-D nozzle shape and the shape of nozzle at exit plane were adopted as design parameter of 3-D supersonic nozzle and numerical analyses for these parameters have been performed to investigate the flow and performance characteristics for design parameters of the turbine. Firstly, comparing results for nozzle shape, rectangular nozzle had less total pressure loss occurred in axial gap and more power by 1.5% than circular nozzle did. Next, comparing the results for the shape of nozzle at exit plane, it is found that the performance of partial admission turbine was largely depended upon the gap between nozzle wall at exit plane and the hub / tip of rotor blade and the length between nozzles.

  • In the resonant converters which can provide high efficiency and high power density, the resonant voltage stress is about 4-5 times the input voltage. It needs the power switch with high ratings. This is a reason why the conduction loss is increased. In this paper, it proposes the alternately zero voltage switched forward, flyback multi resonant converter topology for reducing the voltage stress using alternately zero voltage switching technique. And the proposed AT forward MRC is experimentally considered about the loop gain with HP4194A network analyzer.
