The Applicability Evaluation of UV Indicators in the Exhibition Environment (전시환경에 대한 자외선 지시카드 적용성 평가)

  • In this study, reliability assessment was carried out on UV(ultraviolet) indicators for the application of the indicator method on cultural heritages. As a result, some UV indicators(L, K, and M) proved to be unsuitable due to their low reactivity to UV and high reactivity to RH(relative humidity). On the other hand, indicator S showed considerable color changes and fading due to UV-B and UV-C according to the integral amount of UV irradiation. Indicator S showed the most distinct reaction to UV and a remarkable applicability to exhibition light, which are used in museums. Therefore, UV indicator S is an easy and useful monitoring tool for light environment management in cultural- property conservation facilities.

  • Exhibitlon lighting design be done after due consideration of the photochemical reaction and heating effcts upon exposure to light In this study the balanced judgement is as follows. 'The most light-susceptible material should be illustrated less than 5O(lx](illumlnance-hours per year: 120,OOOlx.h)and the illuminance of moderately sensitive material is 200(lx] (illuminance hours per year: 480,OOOlx.h). Moreover to minimize damage the sources of light should not only contribute as little as heat possible but remove ultraviolt radiation by filters. Also the sources of light must have good color rendering and low color temperature.

The concept of design is to secure the smooth flow planning of an audience and effective direction of an exhibit Design content include 1) installation(passage of light) to guide an audience from entrance to right side of the exhibition space to prohibit the flow dispersion and keep smooth continual circulation flow plan 2)image-wall to introduce exhibition 3)installation to help the global understanding of exhibit 4)exhibition stand design considering proper height of audience's eye.

  • Most preceding studies on museum lighting have focused mainly on illuminance, however this study examines diverse lighting characteristics, including illuminance, luminance, color temperature, and color rendering to allow a more objective evaluation of museum lighting. In particular, issues with existing museum lighting were examined through visual measurement to find an appropriate condition complying with museum lighting standards while providing a pleasant lighting experience for visitors. Although the top priority of museum lighting is to safely protect collections on display, lighting that takes into consideration luminance, color temperature and color randition will allow more effective appreciation as well as safe conservation of the exhibits.

  • 국립현대미술관은 김중업건축박물관과 공동주최로 건축사 김중업을 조명하는 '김중업 다이얼로그'전을 8월 30일부터 12월 16일까지 국립현대미술관 과천 중앙홀과 2전시실에서 열고 있다. 그가 설계한 30여 년간의 건축물과 관련된 사진과 자료 3000여 점이 전시중이다. 전시는 학예연구사의 안목과 해석작업이 중요하다. 역사와 문화라는 재료를 요리하는 학예연구사의 안목에 따라 그 가치가 빛나거나 그 반대일 수 있는데, 이런 이유로 학예연구사는 전시기획에 대한 권한을 갖고 역사해석, 전시방법 선택 등을 하게 된다. 정다영 학예연구사는 2011년부터 국립현대미술관의 건축부문 학예연구사로 일해 왔다. 올해 베네치아 건축 비엔날레 한국관 공동 큐레이터로 참여해 '스테이트 아방가르드의 유령'전을 기획했으며, 이번 '김중업 다이얼로그'전도 그의 작품이다. 월간 '공간'에서 약 6년간 기자생활을 하고, 학예연구사의 길을 걷고 있는 그녀는 전시라는 매체를 통해 건축의 영역과 담론을 확장 증폭시켜 관계를 맺고 퍼트리는 어쩌면 당대 건축계에 가장 필요한 일을 해주고 있다.

A Study on the Factors Affecting the Attitude and Behavioral Intention toward the Instagrammable Exhibition: A case study on <Yumi's Cell Special Exhibition>

  • The purpose of this study is to shed light on the relationship between perceived value(PV), attitude toward the exhibition(ATYCSE), and behavioral intention toward the exhibition(BITYCSE) through literature review and quantitative research, focusing on <Yumi's Cells Special Exhibition (2020)> as an Instagrammable exhibition. The exhibition has strong entertainment experience quality, and taking pictures has a positive correlation with the satisfaction as well as the immersion, while sharing the viewing experience on Instagram does not influence on the ATYCSE in terms of the PV. Satisfaction also has meaningful correlations with the immersion and the detail factors of BITYCSE. In particular, it can be confirmed that the storytelling factor occupied a superiority over the exhibit factors or the exhibition environment of the Instagram-friendly exhibition, and through this, the importance of storytelling was confirmed. This research unveils implications for the influence of the interactivity and participatory features of the Instagrammable exhibition on the ATYCSE as a potential factor of PV, and the importance of storytelling in Instagrammable exhibitions.

  • Exhibition which was a boring and rigid image once has recently hold a place as an intimate culture to the public such that audiences can feel and participate in exhibition at first hand. Along with this, forms and directions of exhibition become diversified, and various attempts have been made. In addition, with such changes, ways of expressing exhibition contents become diversified as well and ways of inducing sensible and psychological expressions and experience are receiving attention rather than formal and physical expressions. This study aims to provide audiences with ways of being able to more effectively expressing exhibition contents, atmospheres, sensibility and so on by applying lights and colors to in expression of exhibition contents.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the exhibition model of children's science museum for children and to present the guideline for the exhibition of children's science museum. To this end, we proposed an exhibition of 'body', 'surrounding things', and 'natural phenomenon' as exhibition topics based on the exhibit evaluation framework and kindergarten curriculum. The direction and color elements are important for the exhibition of 'the body', and the presentation of the 'natural phenomenon' is suitable for the use of contextual media applying color and lighting. And it can be said that it is important to provide clues and fixtures for exploring objects based on the theme of 'surrounding objects'. In addition, in order to secure the validity of the developed exhibition model, we developed an exhibition link program for the 'mirror' exhibition of the exhibition model and applied it to visitors to the Gwangju Museum of Science. Therefore, it is meaningful that it provides the basic guidelines for exhibition planning, and it is necessary to plan exhibition to maximize the exhibition effect by directing exhibition contents, exhibition media and exhibition space suitable for the audience.

전시회 - MBC건축박람회, 친환경 프린터 눈길

  • 지난 1월 28일부터 2월 1일까지 서울 대치동 서울무역전시컨벤션센터에서 제23회 MBC건축박람회가 열렸다. 건축박람회인 만큼 건축자재, 인테리어, 건축정보, 건축 리노베이션, 조명, 전원주택 및 펜션산업 등이 주력으로 전시되면서 총 330여 업체 3천여 아이템이 선보였다. 건축전문 박람회라는 한계성에도 불구하고 인테리어 벽지 및 광고물기자재 등을 비롯한 부문에서는 인쇄산업과 접점을 찾을 수 있는 몇몇 아이템이 출품되어 관심을 끌었다. 그 가운데 관람객들의 시선을 끈 주요 업체들을 소개한다.
