A Study on the Filter Modeling of Fading Channel for Digital Transmission (디지털 전송을 위한 페이딩 채널의 필터 모델링에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, it is possible to high speed transmission of the non-voiced data, including voice, data, moving image instead of voice only in the past by changing the communication method to digital form from analog owing to the development of semiconductor and computer technology which for information transmission of the remote point. By doing so, we can get the improvement of the noise effect and low cost but the loss of transmission bandwidth. It is necessary to take some method in oreder to reducing the fading which is propotional to transmission bandwidth during the transmission of radio communication channel, especially. When we design the digital communication system, we must considered to the fading effect in order to determination of the transmitting power, modulation /demodulation method, transmission speed, bit error rate. This paper mainly concerns to the method to the channel simulator which descrives the fading effect during the transmission by computer model and digital filter modeling of the radio fading channel by unsing the transmitting and received signal. By taking the inverse of the characteristic of the modeled filter, it is possible to improvement of the communication system by reducing the distortion and inter-symbol interference which occurs in the channel.

  • Cooperative Communication using relays which include network separated into fixed cooperative relaying and incremental cooperative relaying defending on method receiving signal from a source. If some nodes included network is Primary user ad source and destination, another is Secondary user as relay, The nodes included network excepting source can help PU transmit signal. In the case of all of SU playing a role as relay, destination can get diversity gain, but useless time slot is consumed for transmitting signal. So in this paper, we analysis cooperative relaying which a node succeeding to sense primary signal send signal to destination.   • In the homepage of 16 municipal provincial office of education, school information service displays text-based results through search step or presents the simple information of the selected area when an area is clicked on the static image map. And it has several problems such as server load and slow transfer speed by the search of the synchronous transfer. Thus, in this study, we used the open API of Google map to provide location-based school information and implemented the mash up service for school information with the Ajax program of asynchronous transfer to reduce server load and to increase transmission speed. This service gives the efficiency and convenience to students, teachers, parents and education family members of various levels because it includes the location with school information on a dynamic map.

  • Wireless communication channels with the most severe multipath fading phenomenon that appears each time a different delay is caused by the frequency selective fading. At this time, ISI due to the performance degradation of wireless communication channels and data transfer speed gives the constraints. OFDM technique can remove ISI inserting longer guard interval than channel delay spread of channel between symbol. However, the multi-path delay of the channel to be serious with the guard interval can not eliminate ISI. In this case, using the equalizer must compensate. Especially, use of equalizer is need absolutely as data rate becomes high speed. In this paper, we analyze the BER performance with pre-equalization for MIMO-OFDM over fading channel. The results of this paper can be applied to MIMO-OFDM system with equalization.

An Efficient Reactive Routing Protocol based on the Multi-rate Aware MAC for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (이동 애드 혹 망에서 다중 전송속도를 갖는 MAC 기반의 효율적인 반응형 라우팅 프로토콜)

  • Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) allow mobile nodes to communicate among themselves via wireless multiple hops without the help of the wired infrastructure. Therefore, in the MANET, a route setup mechanism that makes nodes not within each other's transmission range communicate is required and, for this, the Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) was proposed as one of the reactive routing protocols well suited for the characteristics of the MANET. AODV uses the hop count as the routing metric and, as a result, a node selects the farthest neighbor node as its next hop on a route, which results in a problem of deteriorating the overall network throughput because of selecting a relatively low data rate route. In this paper, we propose an efficient reactive routing protocol based on the multi-rate aware MAC. Through the simulations, we analyze the performance of our proposed mechanism and, from the simulation results, we show that our proposed mechanism outperforms the existing mechanism.

  • DCF(Distributed Coordination Function) defined in IEEE 802.11 provides two different modes, namely, a 2-way handshake and a 4-way handshake according to the transmission procedure. If secondary transmission would not cause a collision with primary transmission, there is no need to postpone transmission unnecessarily. We study a feasible condition which can transmit data concurrently and propose a concurrent transmission scheme.

  • 최근 지하철이나 버스 등의 교통수단을 이용하기 위해 비접촉식 카드를 이용한 IC카드 Reader가 많이 사용되고 있다. 이러한 IC카드 Header는 ID를 인증하기 위한 UserID를 Reader내부에 저장하고 있으며 UserID가 바뀔 때 마다 상위 시스템(서버)으로부터 전송받아 최신의 UserID를 가지고 있어야 한다. 교통시스템에서 사용되는 통신매체는 환경의 특수함으로 인해 낮은 전송속도를 이용하여 통신하고 있고, 그로인해 UserID를 전송할 때 시간이 많이 소모된다. UserID를 전송하는 동안에는 IC카드 Reader의 사용이 제한되기 때문에 UserID는 IC카드 Reader가 사용되지 않는 시간에 전송하고 있다. 많은 양의 UserID를 IC카드 Reader에 빠르게 전송하기 위해 UserID의 특성을 이용한 엔코딩(encoding) 기법을 적용 하여 UserID의 크기를 줄여 전송함으로써 전송시간을 줄이는 방법을 제안하였다.

  • 최근 차세대 이동 통신망의 기반이 구축되고 휴대용 컴퓨터 보급율이 증대되면서 무선 인터넷의 활용도도 증가되고 있다. 이에 위치의 제약에서 벗어나 좀더 다양한 공간 점보 서비스를 실시간으로 제공받고자 하는 사용자의 요구도 늘어나고 있다. 그러나 모바일 환경은 상대적으로 전송속도가 낮고, 모바일 기기의 전력이나 저장공간, 처리 속도, 출력 속도 등의 제약조건을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 모바일 환경에서 국제 표준을 준수하고 효율적으로 공간 데이터를 구축, 활용할 수 있는 고성능 모바일 공간 데이터 서버를 개발하였다.

Performance of TCP without congestion control (혼잡제어를 하지 않는 TCP의 성능)

  • In this study, the performance is compared between RFC compatible normal TCP and several speed constraints Ignored TCP. To do these, the main algorithms that constraints the transmit rate of TCP are modified. We have modified TCP protocol stack in a Linux kernel to compare the speeds between the standard TCP and our modified TCP. We find that if the destination is short distance away from the source and packet error is scarce then the speed differences between normal and modified TCP nay be negligible. However, if the destination is far away from the source and slow start algorithm is not adopted then the transfer time for small file is different greatly In addition, if packet error occurred frequently, our modified TCP is faster than the standard TCP regardless of distance.

Design and Implementation of MAC Engine for Next-Generation WLAN (차세대 무선랜 구현을 위한 MAC 엔진 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper presents implementation of two types of the 802.11 MAC engine for the next generation WLAN, 802.11n. The first version of MAC engine consists of hardwired logic and embedded firmware. Hardwired logic includes Tx block, Rx block, Backoff block, and ChannelManage block. Embedded firmware contains Protocol Control block, MLME block, and MSDU processing block. The first version has a time-critical fault during the atomic transmission caused by software overhead, so it can not be applied to 802.11n MAC. For that reason, the second version has additional blocks with hardwired logic modules to reduce software overhead of the first version. This enhanced version has 73Mbps throughput and it is expected to be further improved up to 129 Mbps with frame aggregation which is one of the key additional features of 802.11n. As a result, the second version of MAC engine can be applied to 802.11n MAC.
